It puzzles me why Rumiko made the ending with so many untouched spots that could've been weaved into it, that her fans had been waiting for - but luckily the mentioning of their 'marriage' made up for all that. I never expected her to go THAT far. Just maybe, maybe she wanted to leave the imagination to us in the end, by skimming through certain details we could fill in ourselves.
I know I sound evil, but I don't want the anime back again - unless they interpret it right this time. They altered and messed up good details and explanations that were in the manga, it gets me pissed.
You did a lovely re-write. Extended and delicious.
Though I have to agree with Rumiko's intentions for not making Inuyasha confess to Kagome that he's in love with her verbally.
He's more of the type that explains his emotions through his actions, and he's expressed how he's loved Kagome many times - but damn she was blind by other things, such as his past relationship with Kikyo and insecurities.
He's the type that doesn't need words, but Kagome's the type that wants to hear them, but I was thinking after all this time, she would figure out that was his natural character and decipher it.
I can't see Inuyasha confessing he's in love with her aloud - it's almost out of character and not Inuyasha-ish - and understandable if he doesn't. The fact that he can't shows just how much of an affect Kagome has on his heart in comparison to Kikyo's 'different kind' of effect.
That was the only thing that pinched me, but...other than that, good job =p

=[ I cried. I mean, when I read the last chapter of the manga, i couldn't help but feel cheated on a few things....like, oh, say...a kiss. But OMG THE ANGST. This had my heart pulling at my chest and even though I knew that she would make it back through the well, I was all dreading that she wouldn't.
Beautiful angst, beautiful WAFF (and I don't do waff. You are swaying me), beautiful fic. I loved.

Aw...thank you for filling in the holes that Takahashi left. I'm not saying the ending was bad, in fact, I loved it. Kiss or not, declaration of love or not, the ending still left me going 'aw' but deep in the mind of every IY/Kag fan, there was something missing. And you gave it to us! (Or to me, at least).
I loved it. It was beautiful. (you had me crying there for a while.) Thank you for such a good 'second angle' to the ending!!!

Ummm...you know how hentai I am...could you make a eentsy weentsy epilogue about there wedding night? With all of the experience that you have writing about those two in AU, it would make for one hellova fantastic way to put this puppy to bed, so to speak.

A sequel, honestly, is sketchy. Even if I did do a lemon fic for this, it would be fairly tame. This IS canon, after all. :) They're two virgins!
