And now the french is making me swoon! More specifically, what he's saying to her ("Meet my eyes, please." Why hasn't she melted yet? I would've!) And their talk about "alpha males"...hilarious! I really ike the idea of them getting this alone time on the beach and kind of solidifying where they stand with one another (Its cute how they both have doubts) and I loved the really light feel of this chapter. It makes me eager for what'll happen next for the duo. They are alone, lol. I kind of wonder, too, if InuYasha has any fears about the water (since he almost drowned) and if that'll come out.

Oh! And I know I've said this before, but I have to again because the beginning of the chapter was just TOO funny! Shiori is AMAZING! I love her "in-your-face"ness AND I got to see her counterpart in the movie. They were playing it some mornings ago, and though I didn't get to watch it, I caught the potatoe peeling scene before I had to run for school. It was hilarious! When she shakes the potatoe in his face ("Proper name's potatoe but we calls 'em spuds!") I just about died laughing. I'm hoping she catches Myouga creeping about the house, too! That is, if he hasn't run away yet...

I can't believe he's stealing InuYasha's PANTS! Lol... WOW, he's a creep! They need to sick Belleview on him or something. Or hopefully, something worse. Until next chapter! I really enjoyed this!

Good chapter.  It's amazing how ALIKE Kagome and Inuyasha are, in spite of their age difference.  Kagome is fifty years old....but she has no more experience in love or passion than Inuyasha.  And that's saying something because, as seductive as Inuyasha is, you can clearly see that he is very inexperienced when it comes to love, a real babe (pun intended) :).  The age difference is HUGE; she's nearly old enough to be his grandma for crying out loud.  But, for all that, they are so sweet together.  I look forward to seeing where this goes.  You're spoiling us with all these updates, grrrl.  I love it!  :D

Author's Response: Ms. G!!! Yesh, you hit it (as always). They're mentally the same age. InuYasha has *some* experience -he's not a virgin- but emotionally, he's 21. Kagome is a bit more mature, but she's really a kid at heart. She's learning how to love for the first time just like him. It's endearing, lol. The age difference, in numbers, IS huge, but they fit like puzzle pieces, so we can't really look at the numbers too hard. There's just a few more chaps left and I'm still deciding if I'm going to keep in step with the movie. >.< Thanks for the review! <3

Devistatingly and awe-inspiringly good.

The emotions made me choke on my crappy chinese takeout and I was ready to die with happiness.  I tell you one thing, whoever marries you Kiki/who is married to you is god damned lucky to be with a woman of such talent.  The scene where she asks him to tell her what his french sayings meant really touched my heart.  It's kinda weird, but the little details are always what gets me the most in your writing.  The whole scene could have been saying, "Can I get in your pants tonight?" and you still would put all the loving gestures and phrasing in just the right place.  The most lovely part of this story is the development of relationships to Inuyasha in both Kag and Sango where they both take the relationship in two different paths.  I'm honestly impressed and astonished by the beauty in which you write this and I'm so happy and proud to be here when every chapter comes out.

And hat damn old fart, Myoga. What the hells he up to. looking for mountains where there isnt any. But as in LIL, that asshat had to try and mess the works up as well. 

And either Sango is so oblivious to the relationship blossoming between her sister and InuYasha, or she'd just plain ingnoring it. I think maybe it's the latter. :D  Either way I love it!  And the way you have Inu going from French, Japanese and that and back it fits well.

Yea, its that hapless romantic in me pouring out again. :D But hey, das me. hehe.

At first i didn't know if i liked this story(just because of the age difference...I have a bad history with young people with older people.) BUT! It has gotten easier for me to get over. Now i have to say all that french writing is ticking me off..I'm like what the f-k did he say?, I MUST KNOW!! (shakes fist while reading). Then i get to the bottom and i was like yes, what he was saying finally hooray! Then i feel like i'm decoding some awesome sercet. I'm going from what you wrote in the bottom, and looking for that line in the story...I'm such a loser. So needless to say i love this story like i do the rest...

Author's Response: Awww, you're so awesome. <3 I'm glad you cracked the "code" AND gave this story a chance. I know May/December romance is weird for some people, but that's the concept that the film flirted with and I loved the story so much I had to make my own version of it. I changed a LOT of things, and added even more, but it's been a fun ride thus far and I'm glad you got on board! :D And I promise, the french will always have translations at the bottom. ^_^

i am so hooked on this!  you've given the characters such heart, such longing. it's hard to tell if it's in a bad way, but everyone is using each other to fulfill something: sango the child she never had, kagome the love she never had, inuyasha...well, perhaps a chance he never had. and what would happen outside their little world?  is it better to have experienced love than not?

and your kikyou just oozes wickedness. hmmm, a french paramour that inuyasha doesn't quite remember? or the reason he ended up on the beach in the first place?

I can't tell you anything about Kik xD but I can say that it's neither one of those. Remember, this is a really subtle film. Most of the plot twisty, romantic, and emotional scenes are all out of my head. In the movie, Kikyou has just one objective, and the same goes here. So her role isn't what I'd call "explosive", but she'll serve her purpose. :D

wow, oh wow! this has turned into something really amazing! first of all, to me, 50 isn't that old. my mom is 51 and she is HOT! so, i guess in my eyes i can truly see this as happening. understandably, sango's treatment of yash is more expected, but you can't go againt love, eh!? i think it's sweet that he was her first kiss... it can't get better than that(nightmares of my own first kiss, blech!) and with kikyou in the picture now, i'm becoming more and more curious about who the heck yash is. i mean, talk about mysterious! but that's what makes this story so great. i am so ready for the next chap just as soon as you have it written. tues. thurs. fri. = no work for me, so if you need beta'ing, don't hesitate to send it over. ttys! -court

You keep catching me off guard with this one, esp. in the scene with Kouga.  I wonder who the one is that Kikyo referred to.

Author's Response: You seem to be the only one that picked up on that. *applauds* I slipped it in because it will matter later (the Kikyou thing). Good eye, girly! :D Kouga is patterned after this jerky guy in the film. He lasted only 3 minutes in his scene, but I decided to change and expand it to show a bit of InuYasha's personality, since he's a good guy at heart. Thanks for popping in!

Oh god damn it kik!!!  I'm gunna kill Kag for stopping him... 'gets on hands and knees' TAKE ME INSTEAD INU!!!!!!  You made me express so many emotions in this chapter.  The plot is starting to make itself more known now and it gets me nervous and excited.  AND DAMN IT THEY WERE SO CLOSE!!! God, Kags and Inu were so hot I just wanted to strip both their clothes off and handcuff them together!  ahhh, I loved it!  What I love most about this fic is the emotions you pour in the words you write.  Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship is unbelievably sweet and sensual at the same time, it never feels like slap-stick sexual tension or what should have been sex ;p (though none of your sex scenes ever do).  And I did not enjoy that french play by play between him and Kikyo (urgh...bleck...ewwww....), she needs to be kicked out of the picture permentely ^_-  

All in all I love every minute of the fic and you get me so riled up when I go to the home page and see the new chapter!! argh! you're making me feel so ready for another update :)  But it's always a good thing.  I love you dolly, make sure you take time to spoil yourself once in a while!!!   Until another chappie.

I'm giddy that you liked the "freshery" at the end of this. I had fun writing it, though it did whip my butt a little.
