Title: All Around Us

Ugh! Kikyo is such a little homewrecker!! I can't stand her! Well, at least in this story lol. Oh gosh and that's what I really like about you, Chica. You have the ability to manipulate a character (for instance Kikyo) and make her lovable in one story and #1 on the most hated list in another story. I think that's SO amazing and I really hope to learn that skill even though I'm sure it comes naturally to you ;)

Whoo hoo! That was some hot action in this chappie! I wish Inu (Or Sess) would press me against a wall and feel me up! Hells yeah!! I'm gonna save that daydream for another time hehe!

I'm nervous about Sango finding out about Inu and Kags. I mean, on one hand she should be happy that her sister finally found love, but on the other hand, Inu is like her son and what mother isn't protective of their kids? Then, there's the age difference between Inu and Kags. I'm pretty sure that will play a factor, as well.

Oh and here comes Naraku to stir up some shit! I wanna see how this plays out so I'll be on the lookout for the next chapter. No rush, though! You definitely deserve a break after all of the recent updates! Thanks so much Grrrl. I'm really enjoying this story, especially because I haven't seen the movie that inspired this piece so I have no clue as to how it'll end.

P.S. Have you seen Above Suspicion? It's also a Christopher Reeve movie and it's by far my favorite from him. There's some good shit in that one!

Title: All Around Us

Oh noooo! He is hiring a P.I.?? Oh no the things I see coming cannot bode well!

I would be thinking just what Kagome was if I were in her place. I would be so insecure with a younger woman flaunting herself in front of Inuyasha. She was trying so hard to anchor herself to him.

I was happy to see that he apologized for Kikyou's behavior and his own since he indulged her in it. You can always count on Sango to let you know what she's thinking lol! I love her for that.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around Naraku being a 'good' guy. You don't usually see that working out but it is here! He's just trying to protect the citizens of his little area and do his job well. It was very motherly of Sango to jump all over him for insinuating anything about Inuyasha though.

I really hope Kikyou gets set straight publicly and soon! She is just so overly confident that she can get what she wants or who she wants. Ugh. You're doing a great job of writing her because she's very irritating to me!

Title: Hearts Ignite

I finally got to read some more!!! I had family visiting and it was my little girl's first birthday (omg she's one year old!!!) so I didn't have a chance to read for a bit.

I'm so glad he decided to stay, and that it was because of Kagome. I'm wondering what will happen when Sango finds that out? Or if she does!

It was refreshing to see how instinctively Inuyasha knew that Kagome felt threatened by Kikyou, and that he should reassure her. I still don't understand how or why he is so nice to her after she intruded on what he was doing for Sango and Kagome. I guess he just had better manners than me lol!

They were finally together! That whole scene was oh so steamy! He brings out that side of Kagome that she didn't even know she had. She just lost her virginity on a beach!! It's wonderful that she is able to lose her inhibitions with him; even though he may have had to be a little persuasive about it haha!

Title: Of Dreams and Wishes

Wow. That scene on the beach by the rocks was just so sappy and romantic I caught myself sighing all wistfully. Yep. Guess my 'secret' is out; I'm a closet romantic. It's a shocker...I know! XD

I was also biting my nails because I was just sure someone was going to see them!

Myouga a kind of bad guy? I can see that, but I never would have thought of it. I can't believe he just went into their house because he's suspicious why a younger beautiful woman would want a younger handsome man instead of him! I hope they find out and Inuyasha knocks the crap out of him.

I'm excited to watch this now, but I'll make sure I have plenty of tissues handy!

No way could I have sent him away from me!!! Lol

I'm glad Kagome is finally getting to see that side of life, and that he is the one to show it to her. I loved how you had him play Kouga for Rin. Really showed how thick that guy can be.

Stupid Kikyou. I really hate her. She always brings trouble with her and you can just see it coming.

Title: All Around Us

First off, I hate, hate, hate captcha codes. This is the third time. First I forget to enter it, second time I get it wrong. Third time better be the charm. >_<; Sorry, had to get that out because now my review is twice as short as it was originally.

Anyways, you really fooled me with this story. I thought I wouldn't like it that much (no offense, but stories with settings in the past aren't really my cup of tea). But I swore to myself that I'd read and review all of your stories until, or even after, you stop writing all together. So, I gave it a try. I loved it as soon as Inuyasha was found at the beach, even more when I found out he speaks French, the language of love <3. Kagome and Sango's history also intrigued me to read more until I realized I was at the end of the chapters.

Of course, Kikyou and Naraku and Myoga have to get between InuKag. Cause if they're in the story, they have to wedge their annoying selves in their life. Gods (or should I say authors and authoresses) forbid that Inuyasha and Kagome could live and love peaceably. Normally, I'd be okay at the complications (irritated at the characters but okay) because it tests their love and strengthens their bond. But, when I remember reading your fic The Last Tango, I realized you're one of those authors who can write up a sorrowful ending if the plot demands it. I never seen "Ladies in Lavender" so I have no idea where you're going to take it. I just hope there won't be any lasting scars in the end.

As always, I ~loved~ it!!!!

P.S: I just realized that you reply to reviewers. Huh. Well, that makes me feel less awkward leaving compliments for the stories (cause, you know, I'm awkward like that) And it helps with my goal to read and review everything until, or even after, your last update. Now let's see if I get that security code down right this time *grumbles*

Da Grrrl Says: First, let me explain about the security code. You've reviewed before (Thanks!), so you know it's not always there. I only do it when the site is under attack. I find the codes annoying and glitchy, however, when Absolution gets into a spammer cycle, I have to use security or bots will leave thousands of spam reviews with links to viagra and stuff like that. I learned the hard way when my site got hit with 100 of them, and the site I host for Lucient was hit with 8000. So try to bear with it for a while until they, once again, take my site off the hit list (It seems to be a revolving thing. Every couple of months they'll hit me relentlessly and captcha is the only way to stop it.)

Now, as for the story! ^____^

I don't care much for period pieces, either, (like canon) and rarely touch them. With this, I had no choice because that's how it is with the movie. I'm taking GREAT liberties with the film, which doesn't really have a happy ending. Kikyou, Myouga, and Naraku are part of the movie as is the housekeeper. In the film, Kikyou is pretty true to how I portray her (slightly exaggerated for effect, but she's pretty on point), so is the housekeeper, and in a way, Myouga (like him wanting Kikyou and being suspicious of Yasha). I stretch/add things to make this my own story, but they're definitely rooted in the characters they're portraying. I plan to leave a link to the film when I finish the story so you guys can see them in action. No main character was put there to be an obstacle that isn't already there in the film -I'm not trying to angst this down the way I do with my other stuff.

So while I have to take credit for Kikyou Myouga, and Naraku which is what they were in the film (though stretched, especially Naraku who's barely in the movie), I also get to take all the credit for the parts you've enjoyed because that was all me, too. In the film, "Kagome" was not a ballerina. We get no background on her at all. Her sister was married, but there was no background given about her marriage or life. Kohaku has a "cameo" (he picks Yash up to go to the tavern) but that scene was drastically tampered with and NO romance happens between the lead female character and her young houseguest. A good bit of what's to come in this story isn't in the film, either, because it's a short movie based on a really short story. But I do plan to mix it thoroughly with what IS in the film to keep it recognizable.

But you're right! I'm one of those authors who can write a sad ending just fine and I love that it keeps my readers on their toes a bit. I don't like being too predictable. So maybe this will end happily and maybe it won't. *waggles brows*

Thanks for the review -I'm happy you're enjoying this one!

Title: Souls Unite

Oh...my....god!!!! I think I'M going to be reliving her first kiss! That was sooo unexpected! I was blushing reading that! This has a great slow simmer to it that I'm loving; and the drama between the sisters is great! I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get a chance to read, but the holidays left me not only out of town without internet access but a lot of catching up to do at home when we got back. I finally decided I needed to read some goodness and take a break and I'm so thankful I did!

Da Grrrl Says: Kat!!

Thanks so much for the multitude of wonderful reviews. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. I've been writing up a storm, so I can't answer them all, but iIdid want you to know that I am reading and chuckling to death at your reactions! You have got to see the film this is based on. None of the romance stuff that I've included happens, but it's such a gorgeous film and I cried SO MUCH watching it. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I have the movie uploaded and when I finish writing the story, I'm going to post it so people can see what inspired it.

I purposely made this story slower than my norm because the movie is that way. The fact that it's so may/dec and slow, I'm sure a lot of my regular readers aren't that into it, but it's actually one of my favorite fics and it's been nice bringing it up to date a bit. I definitely plan to have more on this one as soon as I catch up with a few more.

Thanks again for all the awesomeness! <33

Title: Yearnings of a Lonely Heart

Inuyasha is just changing their worlds isn't he? That's pretty amazing in itself, but he's doing it in such different ways. I bet Kagome hasn't ever blushed so much in her life and it sort of seems like she was alright with just wasting away since she doesn't dance anymore. Sango is much the same, after Miroku died. Now he's given them both something they needed. It was so sweet when Sango shared her mementos and memories with him and then gave him that ring. I almost cried! I'm looking forward to Kagome sharing her past with him and to see what other affects he'll have on her. Thanks for sharing!

This story is to freaking cute I love it! Although I am a little weired out about kagome being 39 years older than him I find it better sweet that they love each other regardless of age and it tears my heart at how genuinely nice Inuyasha is in this story. I also read you bio about leaving and I am sad!

Title: Disclosing the Gift

So much happened...but I think Inuyasha's demonstrations of his feelings for Kagome, whatever they may be, are the biggest point here. She's convinced it's all one sided, and I guess it really could be, I just get the feeling it isn't. Also, I'd just like to give Sango a hug for slamming the window shut on the newcomer. I mean, what woman hasn't seen another woman and realized right away; "I really don't like her." Nice. Thanks for putting that link at the end, I was wondering what it was that he was playing. I could almost pick the exact moment he closed his eyes, I think.

Title: Tempestuously Drawn

Poor Kagome, she is so confused. The fact that Sango is noticing this and trying to diffuse the situation shows how much she cares for her little sister, and how well she knows her. I think she's just trying to look after her. This is a slow build, and while it's a change of pace, I think I prefer it for this story because it's working out so well.

Title: All Around Us

Again, I really love Shiori xD Like Dorcas, she's so tough, but lovable. I like how protective she is of "Laddie" and how she reacted to Naraku...even better was how Sango came at him. Full on mother-mode, I loved it! So sweet how she took a shine to InuYasha and now treats him as the son she always wanted. Makes me sad to think of how upset she might be when Inu/Kag tell her about them being in love, but for now, its cute just hearing them call each other mother/son.

And that kiss IY stole from Kagome after breakfast--so steamy! Adorable that she thought he was serious, too, when he asked her about the elementary school xD

I liked the banter between Naraku and Ren. Myouga's full of it and jealous over Kikyou, but it'll be interesting to see what Ren does dig up about IY's past...and what plans Kikyou has for InuYasha.

Really *squee*-worthy chapter, as always. Can't wait to read the next!

I've spent all day with your site pulled up and just now got a chance to read! Once I got going this chapter just flew by, I wish it wasn't so late now so I could read more. I love how flustered Kagome gets around him, and how protective both of them are of him already. Now this is a change of pace for sure! I've never though of most of the characters aging much, certainly not much passed their twenties or thirties so this is very different. Poor Sango! At least she got some good time in with Miroku. Kagome gave her short career all she had and then she had nothing left, except her sister. She doesn't think of herself as a professional? Poor woman. I like the idea of having them be sisters though. Now they've got a gorgeous and young man to look after!

This story is another of my very favourites because it's different. It was a very nice surprise to see it updated; I'd love to read how this turns out.

Here's to 6 years of Inugrrl Inuyasha stories -- thank you for all the time and effort you've put into this, and for the awesome and very entertaining stories you create.

Lots of luv! (and take care, as always!)

Inuyasha's character is so romantic. God, why is it so sexy when guys speak french? I do wonder though why it's more normal for a 50 year old man to be with a woman half his age than vice versa. If I were being completely honest, I'd have to admit that in my mind it does make a tad more sense to see an older man with a younger girlfriend. It's kinda hypocritical of me since I always rant about how double standards irritate the hell out of me.

I am interested in getting more info about Inuyasha's history, but I'm not interested in Kikyo being a bitch again. I can already tell that Kikyo's going to be one of those characters that I'm gonna love hating. Thanks again for the update!

Seeing your pretty new layout had me searching for the story it was based on. I don't think I've ever seen this story, which was weird because I tried to make sure that I read the majority of your work. Just like with everything else you written, I've fallen in love with this story. It's such an interesting plot, I've never read anything like it, and the writing is so beautiful. Plus, who doesn't love imagining a french-speaking Inuyasha? Hot damn. LOL!

I do hope that this story willl be continued, even if it has been awhile since the last update. But, if it isn't continued, I'm just happy to have read these last 9 chapters.

Da Grrrl Says: Thanks so much! :D

I haven't updated in a long while, but this story isn't dead. It's a fave for me, so I definitely plan to finish it. And thanks for giving it a shot. It's pretty different from what I normally write, but it's based on a movie I saw and fell in love with and simply HAD to recreate. I take a gang of liberties with the original plot, but what fun is a verbatim rendition, right? xD
