I'm starting the last chapter tonight (got a little busy last night), and yesh, I'm I/K, but I can (and have) write InuYasha with other people. In MPR, he was mated to a sistah and that has a full on lemon, and I've hooked him up with other folks, too. Hehe... It's not hard for me to write that stuff at all. It IS hard for me to read that stuff, though. Go figure, ne? lol.

I'm giddy that you're enjoying this story. I haven't gotten to respond to all of my reviews yet, but I did want to answer one of your questions. When I started writing this 6 months ago, I had 4 people in mind. No lie. A girl named Bubbles (one of the lovelies), Amber (You've seen her reviews), InuGoddess (another lovelie), and you. Seriously. I just figured y'all would relate to her, and you have (well, not sure about Bubbles, lol. She was the one with the birthday that I mentioned in the first chap). So to hear that you like it means a lot. *hugs*

wow, that has to be a first. inuyasha actually showing some defference and sesshoumaru acting civil (probably wondering how inuyasha always finds the strangest girls). i could imagine that beings so long lived and powerful could and would very conceivably travel great distances occasionally to see what's beyond japan. it is a fascinating thought-- they could even have created the nazca lines in south america for s#i+$ and giggles. kind of like carving your initials into a picnic table at some national park (not that i condone that activity).

No worries on a late review. You reviewed, and that's what matters! I admit, I've always thought that Toga and Sess have traveled beyond Japan. Always. It just made sense to me that as the most powerful demons -supposedly in the world- they'd know of other cultures and planes beyond the motherland. But, that's just me. lol.
I also wanted to show that Sesshomaru can mellow out some while still retaining his snootiness. I think I like that guy! :P

Sesshomaru is instagatin... and Riin hanging out with the wolf pack? That hit me by surprise. I want to say what I think about InuYasha's current train of thought, but I don't know what is in that potion so I'll save my judgement for laters.

Author's Response: I think Sess was always an instigator, don't you? LOL. Little troublemaking bastid! I'm with you, btw. I don't get the Kouga/Rin coupling, either, but my friend loves them and I owed her that. Plus, I can sorta see Kouga making amends for what happened in the past... but yeah, definitely weird.
The potion, well, it's obvious what it will do. :P So we get to see if he decided to take it and bear his soul, or not take it and keep their communication as is. Hm... xD

OMG! Are you going there? Because it looks a lot like you're going there *runs around squeeing wildly*
Even though parts of me are struggling because poor Joaquin might be dead and Kagome's in modern land, the part of me that is lovin on Inu/Isis shuts all the other parts up and wants this to happen. You dropped some MAJOR excitement on me when Sesshomaru suggested "Eden" to InuYasha because its sweet that she helps ease the lonliness. At this point, he has no idea that she'll come back in a year and Joaquin...well...he might've floated off to Guam for all Isis knows >.>
So go on Yasha...wisk her off into Sesshomaru's pretty garden and do your thing! (I won't tell Kagome if you don't ;D)
...on a side, I loved Sesshomaru being a brother here. I always do, but seeing it done canon-style makes it even more awesome because, like InuYasha mentioned, it took a loooooooooong time for them to get to that place. And then, Sesshomaru speaking her language and InuYasha feeling jealous and out of the loop (I have a feeling he won't be though if he drinks whats in that vial ;]) were amazing scenes. And I liked the bath ones where they both thought over their feelings for one another and finally admitted some things...to themselves atleast.
I'm so excited to read how this'll end...one more! And a ten year old Rin mackin' on Kouga? xD I loooooooooove how you threw that in for your Kau. I got this image of little Rin dressing him in thousands of flower chains...the homage to Kagura was nice too. Great chapter!

I haven't decided where this is going to go between them. I've been very mindful of both Kagome and Joaquin, but they ARE in Eden, so when in Rome... >.> hehe.
Sesshomaru is SO much fun, honestly. I love when he's in "brother" mode, too, and I kinda wanted to show an alternative Sess, one that has mellowed and let go of the hostilities that are really stupid and petty. With him having his arm back and his own sword, I can picture him burying a few hatchets. Some may call it OOC, but I don't think it is. I call it evolution. :) As for him telling Yash it's okay to find companionship, I was looking at it through the eyes of someone that lost the one he loved. That's what the "he's not the only one grieving" part came from. He's telling Yasha to stop being lonely when he doesn't have to be. Either way, I love Sess! xD
LOL @ Rin mackin'. Can you even believe that?! I had to do it, though. Kau deserved that much! One more chappie, girl. How cool is that?!

Aww! Sesshy is just the sweetest!! I absolutely loved the little bit about Kagura (it's still so sad!). And Yasha, he's the hottest thing since sliced bread lolz! Part of me wants InuYasha and Isis to be together so their pain will end but I don't know! My feelings change right along with the characters so we'll see what happens next! Thanks for the update!

I haz happy! I'm so glad you enjoyed Sess; he wasn't supposed to be in this story. I curbed the plot so I could add him for you. It was the least I could do after so much support. I didn't even know you liked him until a few days ago, so I just hacked off a chapter I was going to do and wrote this new one. And he's been such a good boy! Hasn't given me a lick of trouble and was very enjoyable to pen.
One more chap to go, so no hints, but I hope everyone is happy with the ending.
You like the Janet list?! Girl, I LOVE HER. I added more songs a little while ago, so it's a nice fat playlist. I've used her songs in a few fics, too, and I just might toss her in this one. We'll see. :P The hands are a little better (thanks) but I'll be taking your advice and penning this slowly so i don't aggravate them. >.<

Ok... I don't know what to say... I love it! I guess I did know what to say! I think you've really hit on the head what loss and lonelyness is like for people who love deeply. For Inuyasha he has no clue if he and Kagome will ever be together again I 'm viewing it almost like he's a widower who's thinking about getting remarried. It still makes me uncomfortable but Inuyasha's one of my favorite characters ever and I'd like him to be happy. Thanks for the update I'm anxious for the conclusion! Even if I miss my Kagome!
Author's Response: That is a GREAT way of looking at it! It does feel like he's a widower and trying to cope with moving on. Kagome is always in the back of my mind. It's never like I'm saying, "Pfft. She doesn't exist. I'm going to have them trip over a rock and fall into each other's arms!" (So many sess/kag stories are that way. >.<) In this, I'm trying to show exactly why he'd be open to someone else and how bad the internal conflict is becoming, but I also try to show that she's dealing with the same things. Fear, loneliness, desperation can make a person turn to the one closest to them (at the time) for comfort. Like you, InuYasha is not just one of my faves, but my fave, period. I always try to make him happy by the end (when I'm not writing hard angst! :P)

Well you were right I was uncomfortable reading the first part of this chapter. But the reason I keep reading is because I don't feel like he's betraying Kagome you did a really good job with that. When i read the manga I don't think I really believed that he wouldn't even notice someone else. Isis is lovely inside and out and why wouldn't she appeal to his lonely soul? Anyway thanks for the update it's great!
Author's Response: I knew this chapter would get to you a little bit, so I'm glad I was able to warn you beforehand. I'm trying super hard to do exactly as you said -not make Yasha look like a betrayer- because he's not. He's lonely and he needs someone right now. But his heart is still with kagome and I've been trying to convey that as much as possible. So thanks for letting me know that it worked! :D With one more to go, I feel like I've nailed a few firsts: My first post canon story, my first fic with an OC in the lead role, and my first completed multi-chap in some time. I hope the good vibes last -and thanks for being a part of it!

They're so cute! I love how fast Isis is growing on Yasha and the little things he does now that show how much he's changed. Water fights, chasing her around with the meat. All squee-worthy and adorably fitting for a matured, less rough around the edges Yasha. I'm almost sad that he found out about Joaquin, or that Joaquin and Kagome are "elephants" in the room here. Even though I love Inu/Kag and what I've seen through flashbacks of Joaquin/Isis, InuYasha and Isis would make a great couple, and the fact that it won't happen coupled with the loniless on Yasha's part make their interactions so heartbreakingly sweet....when its not being funny because of the language barrier ^^ I love that she's trying to learn some of what he says and how she's so fascinated with Edo.
OMG....and they KISSED!!!! :DDDDDDD Twice! I was pretty sad for Yasha that second time when he didn't want Joaquin's kiss and for how bad he felt afterwards. I'm hoping he'll get some kind of break...be it Kagome coming home or he and Isis developing a "what Kagome and Joaquin don't know...." attitude (xD Probably not gonna happen...but maybe Yasha will get his own kiss, even if its just a friendly/thank you one?).
And now Sesshomaru's entered the mix. I'm curious to see what help he has to give and what'll happen during their overnight stay. I'm even more curious about what happened to Joaquin and maybe Isis that would give her such nightmares.
All very exciting developments! With just two more chapters left I'm excited to read where this goes.
By the way, did you give in and catch the Blood tears ep? It wasn't what I thought it'd be. I don't wanna give anything away if you haven't seen it, but the preview was misleading and the story surprisingly short (she who will not be named >.> had about 2 seconds of screentime only)...Yasha seemed to redeem himself mid-episode, too proving just why he's our boy. Kagome was pretty awesome, too.
Anyway, I loved the last two chapters. This story is such a fun and different "what-if scenario" for that three year gap. I'm really enjoying it! Thank you for penning something so wonderfully out of the box!

Do you know you're the only one that mentioned "his" kiss?? That made me gush like crazy because we're on the same page! Personally, I've always loved InuYasha's jealousy. If a guy isn't jealous >.> there's something wrong, dammit!
That said, I like them as a couple, I do. If it were possible (and it's not if I'm sticking to the true canon ending), I'd keep them together. But alas, I can't. It's great to know they'd have your support, tho! xD
You're also the only one that realized that they basically kissed twice. *squees softly* The "breathing for you" stuff was definitely the life-threatening side of a kiss, but still a form of kiss. The second one was more real, but he rejected it because he knew it wasn't for him.
As you've seen, Sesshomaru plays a vital role in InuYasha's attitude and we'll get to see where his head is at in the last chapter. This has been such a fun ride. It let me stretch my wings a little, and hopefully, that will inspire me to jump into some of my neglected works. (Tooling around with something new always tends to do that for me.) Thanks for being so positive all the way through. You fucking RAWK. R A W K!

Anyways, I love this story! It is so incredibly cute! Kinda nice that you established that boundary now that Inuyasha knows about Isis's guy. I think they have a very sweet relationship and I really like Isis (wow, I like an OC!) but we all know Kagome is coming back so lets not let them get carried away. ;)
Sesshy enters the scene! I like the line about his eyes turning warm...can't kill Naraku together without having some kind of bond. :) Jaken is still a baka.

Another good one! You're churning them out so quick this time, Grrrl, that I missed one. And I really like this story by the way. Inuyasha and Isis are so good together. They'd be perfect for each other.....if they weren't already in love with other people. and you can't help but think that if they weren't already spoken for, they would make an awesome couple. I told you before that most OCs irritate me...but not Isis. Not irritating at all. :)
As for the meeting with Sesshoumaru.....hilarious. That comic relief with Inuyasha and Jaken...I am still snickering right now. Jaken is such a little turd...and Sessh knows it. Which is why he just shakes his head when Inuyasha "deals" with him. :D And I do wonder what Sessh is going to say to Inuyasha about all this, especially since he has already noticed that Isis is covered in Inuyasha's scent. Should be interesting. Good one, girl!

I can save you the wondering! Miroku won't be getting any chances to play the lecher because they're not going back to his village. (Can you imagine the beat down Sango would give him?!) And she does have a few traits like Kagome, as far as her "girliness" and that could be why Yasha has gotten so comfy around her. he's been alone for a long time, after all the months with kagome, it's hard to go back to solitude.
Slippery when wet - haha. I could have gone places with that scene, but I chose to let it play out the way it should (and did). I'm penning up the next chapter now and *hope* to have it posted by tomorrow. Wish me luck --and thanks again for the review luv!
