Oh! I've got to rush over and read Kotodama II right now. I'm speechless the way you've captured Inuyasha's feelings on the matter and I'm in total agreement with his actions. If Kagome truly love him would she keep him collared? I finally got your fanfiction meme to load and I'm in total agreement on one point though. Kagome might be a brat and it's fun to put him with others sometimes but at the end of the day you can't beat the Inu/Kags dynamic.

Whoa. Okay, I'm very vulnerable to sorrow right now, cause I've been crying for hours on end because of a damn movie, but this stuff brought back tears to my eyes.
Beautifully written, really. And I wanted to throw in my opinion of the subjugation beads. I must say I completely agree with you; Kagome uses them too mch, but they're really a bond between them. Kagome is just plain stupid sometimes and entirely too childish for her own good, so she tends to overreact, and this drives him away.
Amazing story :)

I'm with you 100%. I always hated that stupid thing, especially the way she abused it, heck even the others (mainly Shippo) prevoked her into using it for them! It's only been useful a few times, and that's it. One 'sit' that I hated the most was after he got the Adament Barrage, and checked on Kikyou when she wasn't there. And Kagome wouldn't believe him!.....Ugh I just wanted to slap her for that one, and the others for taking her side! Anyway you addressed this very well, Kagome's not a bad person, just a stubborn teenager. Nicely done, as usual!

THe romantic in me loved this fic! It was sweet and made me sniffle. I will say though that I'm grateful that you took the rosary from Kagome it has always been a problem for me to like her when she's such an idiot about it. I like that you addressed the problem and still made her a likable character.

Awww!!! I'm going to cry. That was so sweet and happy. So ummm... non-Inugrrl. But I liked it! I also agree with the annoying rosary abuse in the anime. I read the manga originally and though I like most of what they have done with the anime, the rosary abuse in the form of slapstick comedy was so WRONG. I am glad that Kagome stopped using the rosary by the end of the manga.
Author's Response: I'm a rosary hater and 95% of the time I don't mention them in my fiction at all (Writing AU helps me out there), and while I'm an angst writer, I do write fluff as well (In teeny weeny doses. xD). Glad you liked this one. The sequel was never supposed to happen. I gave in to many requests from my readers to bring them back together, so I did, but I've always flirted with making a sequel that was a little... harsher. >.>

I fully agree I hate the kotodama with a passsion as well. yes does she have to have that power over him has not tried to kill her is a long time and she uses it for the most stupid reasons. Someone such put one her so she can see how it feels.
Author's Response: I totally agree. In the manga, it's not as bad. But in the anime, it's used as "comic relief" and it's very, very irritating. So at the pinnacle of my annoyance, I wrote this fic, then was goaded into a sequel that probably should have been harsher. But at least it was resolved, ne? :D Thanks for the review!!

You know, I've never read an Inuyasha sympathy fiction. It's very interesting and original the way you take things and tell them from a different veiw point.
No one ever really considers the pain Inuyasha has, because the original story line is Kagome sympathetic - I enjoy reading original ideas.

The roasry was definitely an RT mistake. She put it in there for comedy, but if you apply the rules of reality to Inuyasha, the way he gets treated, particularly in the anime, is pretty bad.
I think this is a good look at how things could have gone if Kagome didn't shape up. (She uses it a lot less now).
