although we may never recognize this... endings in life does sometimes happen alot like the one-shot. But of course we always hope for happy fairy tale endings... o well... very well written! i really enjoyed this story!

I really liked it, but I really wish it had a more drastic ending. I was thinking that at the part where Inuyasha says 'if not in this world then the next' (which was beautifully done by the way) that line could lead into a Kagome goes to the next world (suicide) which could end happy or sad. Or it could lead to an Inuyasha comes back and says I couldn't wait for the next world. Anyway just to think about.

beautifully bittersweet. you have major talent! i love how you tied the AU with the anime by having them act in a play. and i love how you don't see the need to end it with rainbows and lollipops and happy little bunnies. you made it realistic, and sad - in that sense. yet, it's still such a good read. i'm definatly going to be reading more of your work!

Wow... That's all I can really say. Angst is by far my favorite genre and now I remember why. This story was so full of emotion. The sincerity you put into your words astounded me. Simply flawless as far as I can tell. I got lost in this story, I could imagine every part of it in my mind and it was wonderful. Deffinately worth reading a few more times in the future.

Wow. I was brought to this oneshot simply through curiosity... I'm so glad I read your profile before I ventured downward the page. When you said that many thought Je t'adore was a Inuyasha/Kikyou story when they had no reason to, I was intrigued. And I completely agree with you. How can anyone see this as anything other than Inuyasha/Kagome? Thanks for this little angst filled snippet. I really loved it :)

You know, for a whole different reason now, I'm glad Kikyou died. That made it possible for Inuyasha to move on from her. Yes he still respected her and owed her, but he literally still had to live his life, while hers was gone. This was so different! It's like...possibly the only story where I kind of agree that he should be with Kikyou. I guess he just had to see if they worked if Kagome wasn't in the picture; like he couldn't just leave her for Kagome. And Kagome, oh my goodness, she just broke my heart! She said she could stop loving him if he wanted her to! I think I'm way to selfish for that...maybe but that was just amazing of her, of both of them really. When they said their goodbyes, in front of everyone and on stage, I was wondering if Kikyou was there? If she would have seen the love they had for each other? It was just a testament to how strong that their love was for each other; that they agreed they'd see the other in their dreams and, in the next life. That was the sweetest way you could ever have these two not be a couple I think. Heart strings...so broken!
Da Grrrl Says: This oneshot...ugh. It's by far the hardest thing I've ever written and I don't re-read it because it makes me cry. It's like, I love this story for what it stands for, but I can't take enduring it. It took me a year to write it because it hurt so much. >.< lol. (How on earth does the author cry at her own stuff?!) But that's the tragedy of it, I suppose. I need to add a download of the song to the author notes. It gives the story such more "weep" power. *chuckles*

Beautiful one-shot - it really grabs at your heart strings. I find the idea of "two lovers who cannot be together" so tragic. The metaphors with "being together in our dreams" is truly beautiful as well.
What irked me, though, was that he sent a letter explaining his lingering feelings. If I put myself in Kagome's position when she read it, it would honestly kill me. Sure, it's nice he ended up 'happy', but what about "what could have been?" And was he truly happy with the other, when he loved Her?
Oh dear. Wonderful story.
