Title: Je t'adore

*sniffles*

Is this the one people claim is an Inu/Kik story? If it is, I don't see it that way. Yes, he marries Kikyo, but his heart is w/Kagome. This is rather refreshing actually. Heart wrenching, but in a good way. You always see the stories where he ends up leaving Kikyo and is suddenly by Kagome's side. I liked that this one is less predictable.

Awesome job bb!

No-no

Author's Response: Thanks, No-No! :D

Yeah, this is that one. I'm happy to say that most people know and understand what I was trying to do, but a couple just didn't get it and I didn't feel like explaining myself. This story is actually pretty personal for me, which is why it's written the way it is. So those that can appreciate it for what it is have my heart! <33

I really can't believe this... I'm like... breathless... very very very well done! this is one of the most outstanding fanfics I've ever read... and I've read a lot...

thank you for writing this!

Author's Response: Thank YOU for enjoying it! Like I told my other readers, this was NOT easy to write. I cried a lot and stopped a lot. It took me like a year to write this because I put it off for so long, writing bits here and there. But I was happy and proud of the end result. So thank you for such a lovely review. :)

Hi again ,its anonymous. Here.. to review for the 3rd time. I still think of this fic from time to time. Never thought one of your stories could have such an effect on someone eh? Well. I have a suggestion , why dont you start publishing books? I think it's time theres some REal inuyasha novels. Love ya!

Author's Response: My anon-friend! :P You made my day today. It was nice to hear from one of my most supportive lovelies even when I'm slow on updates. I appreciate that so much, really. You're awesome. *hugs* And you know, this fic was personal for me, so I'm REALLY honored that you think that highly of it. It was hard to write (very hard) and I never, ever re-read it because it's too much. But it was a story that needed to be told and I'm at peace with it. :) And publishing, eh? You flatter me. Writing is just a hobby, but who knows? If I ever bang out some of my original plots, I'll be sure to slip in a dedication to you. <33

i get it sis, I don't like sad ending but sometimes what sad for some is happy for other. Love can't hurt people, people hurt love. It's name is always use in vain. But that's not the reason in this one. No this one hold a place far more ture. A person can love two and never see why. I believe for every heartbreak one heals and new love grows. Inu & Kags can't be together in this one but when time starts again they will. To me that just one of the reason this one is so realistic. It's has many points to it, it's not one-sided. This shows why you are the best at what you do.

love ya big sis

Author's Response: Kid Sissy! *hugs* Thanks for reading this one. I know some were annoyed with the ending, but like I said, everything in this story was done for a reason. And you're right, not every ending is happy, but it's for the best, as was the case here. It would be silly for InuYasha to walk away from everything he knew on a maybe. It could be love; it could be infatuation, but they realized they needed to be responsible. So, they said their goodbyes, and made peace with it. Gah. I cried when I wrote this one, but that happens sometimes...

hey, its anonymous again. i dont know if youd get this review because this story has been complete a while ago. but i was just browsing through your stories and came on this again. so..  i read it again .. teheh : ), i dont remember if i posted a review for this story before but ohwell .. no harm in reviewing again :D

i just wanted to say that i love this story.. heck, everyone does x). im pretty sure .. that is the first fic i read that is just so......................... i cant explain it... you know, the bitter sweet feeling you get... :S

well. this story really touched me .. youknow .. its like, youre happy for inuyasha .. but ... i dont know if i would say sad.. for kagome, but bittersweet .. meh, well of course you know what i mean . YOU WROTE THE STORY x-D

well.. i recently been though a "give up your love - for infatuation" kinda thing .. been kinda down .. what poped in my mind was this fic! haha, well. it really does suck .. and it is really hard to give up someone for their happiness. .. so kudos for kagome

and major kudos for you!

well, im done ranting. time to move on, and continue reading your other storires!

jya ne!

Author's Response: Thanks so much. :) I know how it feels, too, and it does suck -big time. But that's what you do when you love someone, ne? You walk away so they can have the life they were meant to have. Sigh. Very depressing, but thanks for seeing the beauty of the story. I know some people were a bit negative toward it because it felt like an Inu-kik fic, but they missed the point, obviously. However, you didn't and I thank you for that. :)

Aw! Kiki! I'm so sorry it's taken me so long again to post back... because of school. *Sighs.*

Anyways! Aw! That was such a sad story!... Damn girl, you know how to make me cry. *Tear* It was great nonetheless! I love it to pieces. Ahh.. I really don't know what to say. I was moved so much. The beginning was beautiful and you finished it even more. I thought that Kgome would end up with InuYasha bt... they didn't. Kagome was so selfless and wonderful. I wish I could be like that.

You did an unbelievable job. Keep up the great work!

Author's Response: Thank you, Nat! I know this one was sad, but it had a point for me. So I'm glad you can get past the fact they didn't end up together and see what I was trying to say about the characters. I still think the greatest love is the one you can let go of in lieu of that person's happiness. That was the focus of this one, and I'm glad to see that many understood that. ^_^

This was so sad... :(

This is a good story but I always get so sad whenever Kagome and InuYasha don't end up together. It was so sad and it drove me to tears. *sigh*

I wonder what will happen to Kagome though. And I wondered if InuYasha would ever speak or contact Kagome again. But the story already ended so I just have to make guesses.

Can you help me? What does Je t'adore mean? I'm really confused.

Author's Response: Thank you for reading and reviewing -it means a lot. ^^ Je t'adore means "I adore you", and no, they never get togather or see each other again. The ending represented the fact that they were both moving on, but would always have a place in each other's hearts. I'm sorry it made you cry. :( It made me cry, too. But not every story ends happily, ya know?

Title: Je t'adore

Again, I didn't have time to review when I read this this morning, but I've had all day to stew over it and I still come to the same conclusion.

That was one of the most deepest fictions I have ever come across, and the ending was beautifully atrotious.

Beautiful because Inuyasha and Kagome were able to come to terms that they were not meant to be and if they were to get together it would mean breaking the heart and soul of a woman who was completely innocent during this entire tryst.  Beautiful because you portrayed love as the victor over infatuation - which is not usually the case in fiction and reality today.  Beautiful in the sense that despite never going to be able to be together physically, these two friends are optimistic to find each other in their dreams.  Beautiful because of the simplistic way you wrote it - concise yet eloquent.

Atrotious for the sole reason that I am an avid InuKag fan, and despite sympathizing with Kikyou throughout the plot there was that part of me that hoped Inuyasha and Kagome would end up together.  However, as I said before, they can be together in a sense, in their dreams.  It's a bit existentialist, I find - dreams are like stories and stories are more 'real' than reality itself because of that certain level of control exerted over stories and dreams as opposed to real-life where nothing is ever concrete.  Therefore, Inuyasha and Kagome could find each other in their dreams by the sheer willpower and need to control said dreams.

That's my philosophical moment for the day ...

Although, the beauty definitely outshone the atrocity.

I love how Kagome was so unselfish and didn't ask Inuyasha to leave Kikyou for her - she was honest about her feelings yet her want to not hurt Kikyou overtook all.  Can't say I would have been the same way in this given situation.  So thank you for writing this fresh piece about a woman caught in a love/infatuation triangle and being unselfish about it all.  It's definitely a change from all the fictions coming out lately about the 'mistress' prevailing despite an entirely innocent and undeserving of hurt wife/girlfriend.

This was an incredible one-shot.  Made me feel quite morose this morning - which was an advantage for my character in this mini-play I had to do for class ... nevertheless, I enjoyed this immensely.  I have never been moved to tears by a simple one-shot, but you did it.  Excellent work, as always.  I'm glad you're making your comeback after that block you had.  (=

-Claire.

Author's Response: I think this is one of the best reviews I've ever gotten for anything and I thank you so much. You described it perfectly, and I can't say that enough. This one was a hard one to write, but I did so with determination. It strikes a lot of chords with people, particularly those that can get over the "inu-kik" factor and see the piece for what it was meant to be. Not all love works out, not all endings are happy. But as long as you have closure, you can let go without ill feelings, and as long as they have their "dreams" there will always be a place for them somewhere. *sighs wistfully*

And no, the Kagome in this story being a mistress is not an option. I try not to do that in general, because let's face it, Kags isn't that type of woman. I'm not saying that I won't "ever" make her a mistress, but it's not high on my list of character traits. Many thanks again. <3

Interesting. I have nightmares like this. So because it was kinda sad I didn't so much like that but you know, it was sweet at the same time and Inuyasha wasn't an asshole so that was good. So all in all good story (I can see how Danga would think it was cheesey- it's totally not a Danga story).

Author's Response: Jen! Danga actually liked the story, he didn't like the play. He praised the fact that I handled the love triangle in a "mature" way, but didn't like the play cause it was a typical college play (his words) -haha. But like I told him, everything was written the way it was for a reason. Besides, this is DANGA we're talking about. Can you really expect him to be into something this mushy? lol. Not when he's hating on Kagome like nobody's biz in GTR.

Title: Je t'adore

The diff I noticed between the teams that win, all teams, including the Yankees of the past, is that there is a concensus that they play to win.  The Yankees haven't had that for a while, becase of the different people they have brought in who don't have that mentality.  I'm not neccessarily talking about A-Rod, who I think this year finally figured it out.  Last year, I think he did not play to win, instead he played to be loved, to be the best, to be better than...not to win the game.  This year, he did play to win which showed in his amazing season.  Is he or anyone else going to always be successful, no, but I just like to see the heart and desire to win.

I prefer the Derek’s the Pettittes and the Posadas over the Sheffields, Wangs, and Farnsworths of the world because they work hard each day, whether they personally suck or not, to do what they can to win.  I love Andy because each game, off or on, he tries his hardest to get a W.  He'll throw a million pitches, but he works for every out, because he wants to win.  While some of our other pitchers just go out there, throw the ball and whatever happens, happens.  They just go out there because it's their turn in the rotation, and they think they are entitled to their position because they have the best stats or because there is no one else.  There is no heart and it's crap to watch.  I see the fire in Cano, Melky, Joba, Ian, and Duncan, so I do believe new leaders will arise, but the vets are needed for next year to demonstrate how the game is supposed to be played.  If we had a team full of Bonds and vintage A-Rods who just play because they can, I wouldn’t be a Yankee fan.  I don’t like the Red Sux, but they have realized that they can’t play solely to beat us and be successful, that they instead have to play to win each game against every opponent.  So despite the fact that I dislike them, I do respect that about the club.  The Indians played to win during the series.  Everyone played to win, and therefore did what was necessary to get on base, drive runs in, and pitch well.  Our hits were disjointed and random, demonstrating our lack of unity and inability to feed off of each other, and our pitching was what it was, so we lost.  I do think Joey could have made some managerial decisions that would have helped us like starting Pettitte first, and benching hurt players who couldn’t physically produce, but it’s not his style to ruffle feathers.  Maybe we do need a manager who is willing to take those risks each game, but if Mattingly is the next choice, then I doubt he will make those decisions either.

Ok, I’m done with my Yankee talk.  It’s time for me to get to sleep.  Hope to read a new chapter of anything you can pump out soon!!

Author's Response: Girl, you're gonna be my Yankee Sistah :P Because none of my peeps online are Yankee fans! It's a tragedy!!

I completely agree with you on Arod. I was overjoyed when he stopped giving a damn about the Yankee fans and started playing to win. He's so tragic in so many ways.. He has this enormous contract that the Rangers decided to give him and because of it he's expected to carry entire teams. He has a good agent -who told that fool of an owner to bend to all of that? That's his own fault. <.< But anyway, he comes to NY and wants to loved/accepted, and what happens? Hell breaks loose, and it didn't help that he and Derek (who can do no wrong in Yankee land) Jeter had issues between them. I still think DJ, as the captain, should have stepped up more and publicly supported him as part of the team, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. *shrug* In the end, Alex overcame all the BS and had a great following year.

Now, the Blosux -how I hate thee- are a good ball club. No question. And you hit it dead on -they finally started playing to win and stopped living solely to stick it to us. Look how far they've gotten once they stopped focusing all of their attention on pinstripes.

Joe had a lot of loyalty and did too much coddling. Matsui, who only started swinging in the end, should have been benched for a few of those games because he was in a bad slump. My china doll (wang) should NOT have started, especially on the road. But knowing fans/media, if Joe had gone with someone else, and the still lost, he would have been nailed to a cross for that. Then giving him a second start? Disaster. Roger? I love him, but it's time to hang it up. Farnsworth, who I really like, needs extensive work with his strike zone, but I believe he is a value to the team. Petite is awesome, period. Mussina? What will it take to trade him??? Igawa (sp)? I geuinely feel bad for the guy. He got uprooted here and is lost in the sauce. He had a couple of decent starts late in the season (after much work), but with no run support, he took loses. The yankees need to clean the bull pen or we will continue to get housed.

Mattingly, how can I put this delicately... The man is a legend and has my respect, but he's not ready, not even close. They're talking about giving the spot to Joe Girardi, who would be a much better mgr. Too bad Willie went with the mets, he may have been good. But then again, he's a lot like Joe and this team needs fire. I really wish they would have axed Torre last year and given the gig to Lou Pinella. He would light a fire under their asses so fast! None of this "holding people's bats" and "putting guys in based on loyalty" and all this madness. Lou would have put these guys to work and busted those egos down.

okay, I think I blabbed enough. It's SO refreshing to have someone to talk pinstripes with! You rawk!!!!

Ok, I read it again, and this time I did so from Kikyou's POV, and doing that helped me to find peace with the ending. I know if I was her, and I found out about their little exchange, I wouldn't be mad, but instead extremely hurt. Mostly because it took Kagome to convince Yash to stay where he was, as opposed to his love for Kikyou. That would get me, because you would hope that his love for you would conquer all, as opposed to Kagome's love for him. So, even though Kagome is alone and I aint a fan of Kik, I am glad he realized that Kikyou was worth it, and is willing to let go of a possible infatuation to keep her. Now, in reference to our Yanks, I love Joey and I know that getting rid of him will change the dynamics of our team which I think would be a bad thing. Right now we can't win because we have an ineffective mix of the old and new Yankees, which is completely George and Cashman's fault. They won those first Championships with hard workers who focused on winning and not personal achievements. No one stood out or was spectacular during the season, but at the end the team won together. After we won and lost some of the major leaders, George replaced them with superstars who did not how to win as a team, instead of foregoing winning now to raise people like he did with Je-Je, Mo, and Jorge who are bred to win. Now we have half the team playing small ball doing what they can when they can, and picking up the next man, while the other half just do what they do when they feel like it. Half of our pitchers work their asses off to limit a 35 pitch inning to 1 run, while the others just throw the ball and if they give up 4 runs on 2 hits its “snakes on a plane.” I see the drive to win in the young pitchers like Kennedy and Hughes, so I have faith we can get it together, but we have to decide whether or not we will take heart over stats in order to win. Joey has good instincts and he used to use them, but I think the pressure has gotten to him so he focuses on numbers instead on what he knows is right. Unless he or the new coach focuses on what can get the win, and stop appeasing everyone’s egos we will lose again. If the org stops buying big names and focuses on raising Yankees like they are with Melky and Robi, and our young pitchers then we can grow a team that can win it all. And if getting rid of Torre means Mo and Posada go, then they need to keep him b/c they are 2/3 of our back bone, and without them it will be hard to keep our Yankee Swag and we may become just another club. Je-Je is amazing, but he can’t keep everyone focused alone, especially when there are so many manufactured distractions. Joey, Mo, and Jorje are part of our identity, we need them to hold it down until other Yankee leaders emerge and we can get rid of the perpetrators who accept mediocrity.Wow, I got a lot to say about my team. they need me on that bench. But stay healthy, and update as soon you can. I’m feenin for some Ever After.

Author's Response: I liked what you had to say from Kikyou's point of view. Perfect and ACCURATE. Kagome's love is what stopped him from risking it all, and while that's gotta be painful for Kik, it speaks volumes about what they had between them. I don't see Yash as a man with cheating on his mind. The "See you in my dreams" was his goodbye, a form of closure, and some people misinterpreted that completely, lol. I don't do Inu/Kik -I just can't, that's why you never once see her in the fic. You hear about her almost in passing, but I guess the point of my story was to show how powerful love can be and the sacrifices that will be made because of it. To do the right thing, Kagome had to break her own heart. There's something classic about that.

Now, the Yankees. I'm not a huge Jeter fan, and that's for different reasons, but I don't question his loyalty to the team. I am, however, an Arod fan (and I've been a Yankee fan since birth so it's not a question of me just locking onto Alex, lol) and I'm proud of what he's achieved. I've never been more embarrassed by Yankee fans than last season with the booing and all the madness. I don't believe in booing your own. Even when we were dealing with Jarrod "snake-bit" Wright, or Carl "I broke my butt" Pavano, I never booed them. A lot of the fans these days only remember the back to back WS wins and they're spoiled rotten. The Yanks used to suck ASS before that. I know because my family complained about it, lol. The fans need to get loyal and stop acting like "the core" is only made up of 3 guys. I think it's that kind of "you'll never be real yankees" attitude that causes players to stop caring, ya know? I mean, Jeter and Jorge weren't a massive part of the WS wins. That was mostly Scott Brocious, Joe Girardi, Paul O'neil, Chuck Knoblauch (sp) they, if anyone, should be considered the true core. The other guys are kinda like holdovers. But again, I don't question anyone's loyalty to the team.

I think Mo & Jorge should stay, BUT I don't like the idea of players putting out threats to the Boss. In the end, the Yanks will live on without them and it just seems disrespectful. The Boss pays everyone handsomely and it's bad form to put out ultimatums. Hell, the old Boss would have called their bluff quick fast, but age has him less fiery. I think Joe should stay, but he won't be the mgr forever. These guys have to grow up and accept that things change.

Now, the kids are awesome! Joba, Phillip, Melky, Shelly -these guys are just gold. I'm not wild about Cano (never have been), but they bring a lot of life to the ball club. The Yanks, sadly, have become more of a business than a team and that needs to stop -so we agree on that one. There's nothing wrong with having superstars if we can get everyone working well, because without the 58 HRs of a certain star, we don't see Oct. period. Arod doesn't have good playoff numbers AT ALL. But I think the "booers" forget that it takes a successful regular season to even see the playoffs.

So, we'll see what happens. Joe, Alex, Mo, and Jorge may be gone for all we know, but even if they are, we'd still be capable of getting 27. After all, the Indians kicked our asses and they don't have any of those guys, lol.
