Aww, sometimes I think you're just loading too much on your shoulders. There are tones of stories that you haven't finished and yet new ones keep coming. Maybe that's why you're losing your inspiration for your older fics so quickly. I think all your stories are great and every chapter is awesome!
Da Grrrl Says: That's some of the issue. The other part of it is that I don't think many people really read this stuff, and that makes it easy to stop writing it. I like all of my stories, but writing is work these days and if that work isn't really appreciated, I don't feel a need to do it. I've said billions of times that I only continue to write for you guys. If I don't think you guys are into it, it's REALLY easy to stop making chaps, especially on fics that give me hell.
In other cases, I lost inspiration because I never really had it. Like Pretty Brown Eyes was a giftfic, but I don't really like the Sess/Rin pairing. That's part of why I dragged my feet then finally gave up on trying to give it a decent ending. It's also why my Sess/kags fic took so many years just to do 10 chapters. It's not a pairing I'm into, so updating just gives me the shits.
My biggest issue is wanting to please everyone and do something special for the people I call my friends. It's a GREAT pleasure when I write for them and they like it, but it's not always easy, and while I know they'd never get bent over me dropping a story that's giving me the business, I feel bad about it and try to continue. It's a vicious cycle. lol.
But all that said, thanks so much for the sweet review. It's always awesome to see people enjoy the work, especially when it killed me to get it written! X_X

Don't chop it, Grrrl! This was a great chapter. It was full of angsty goodness, even if I do think that Kagome is the dumbest heifer EVER. Inuyasha, as always, is worth his weight in gold; your depictions of him are always great, though. I can see why it's giving u trouble, since the other characters other than Sango appear to be such shallow assholes. I'd hate writing rich jerks like that too! :)
But don't quit, Kiki. If you can shorten it some maybe u can finish it.

LMAO @ HEIFER. That's by FAR my favorite word for her (in MOST fics, lol). This one kinda turned out the way I wanted it to, but yeah, writing these rich noobs is a process that wears one down. I mean, they're a large part of the story because it's like love trying to survive in a toxic environment with one party denying what they feel because they think they're missing something. It's sad, but the more I play with the side characters, the more I hate them and want to just focus on I/K, which would defeat the original plot. Buuuuut, maybe that's what needs to be done. Way shortened plot, kill off side parts and focus just on these two in order to see an ending. What do ya think? We'll see. lol.

that girl is crazy!! I know I know the "I need to grow thing...but why fuck him then leave him with no sign it's going to happen...then she acts like he can't let someone else in...bullshit. Let him live it up. But the rich bitches are up to no good and I have a feeling whatever kikyo is cooking is going to burn. Sessy is not one to be played. Anyway I thinks she should learn the hard way to hold on to what you have. Or at least give a person a better reason for leaving like she did. I can't get over she just sleeps with him then 5mins later was 'we're over' I hope he has fun to help that pain out some. Poor baby. Sorry I just love my Inu-kun damnit lol.

Serves me right for starting a story that's on your chopping block, babes. But I have to say that I enjoyed this ALOT, even though I wanted to beat Kagome over the head for her stupidity. Seriously, what is wrong with that girl?! Doesn't she know that sometimes the grass is NOT always greener on the other side? Talk about frustrating! And poor Yasha, still wearing his heart on his sleeve. You gotta feel for that boy!
Ah, but that's what you do best, sweets. You make us readers feel all sorts of emotions and that's a hard thing to do. In my hectic world, I'm SO glad that I can come to your site and escape into your stories, if just for a lil' while. Thanks for that, Ki.

I had to reread this a bit to remember what was going on. Poor Inuyasha still can't get closure... What I like the best is that Rin, Kaguya, and Kikyou are scheming against something that's already ruining itself. So all this wasted effort is likely going to backfire. I just hope the story continues long enough for that to happen.

I must say I was reluctant to start reading this story. Why? Because I just knew I would be hooked and die of anxiety while I waited for the end of the story. Now I'm doomed! Author's Response: I know, I know... >.< I need to update more. I have all of these projects and not enough time and inspiration. It comes and goes, and then if I toss in my RL and fandom responsibilities, it's just bad. The next chappie is in the works, and this is a short fic, anyway, so I'm hoping that I can get rid of the block and start banging out more chapters.
I don't think you're alone in your hatred of Kagome. I think everyone that reads this is pissed at her -she's so... selfish. She has her reasons, and they'd make sense if she explained them in a mature way, but she blew it. :P You'll catch that in my fics a lot -an unlikeable Kagome. In this fandom, there are far too many fics where InuYasha is the jerk, so I'm the author that returns the favor and makes Kagome take the blame most of the time. It balances out the universe. xD

Mmm ... and so the drama really begins. I'm still loving this fic so much; especially since at this point, I really don't know who the hell to give my sympathies. Although I am leaning towards Inu, since Kagome totally has it coming for her bitch move (however, I can officially say that I have been in a similar situation, in Kag's position - not a good one; the whole thing ended up being incredibly messy, but I digress). Perhaps that's why I love this fic so much, because I can relate to it quite a bit. Hell, all of your stories can be related to in some way.
I quite enjoyed the interactions between Sess and Inu; I am so jealous of the corvette. (love the music choice in this chapter ... you're always picking the songs I love) And the rivalry between Inu and Kouga - awesome. I know you're keeping this one relatively short, but might this be another where Kouga has a hidden agenda? I'll just have to wait and see, won't I?
Anyway, amazing job as always. How did you know an update from you was on my birthday wish list? haha. ;p I anxiously await the next chapter.

Is Rev Theory not the shit? I heard it on Sports Center (ESPN) and ran to download it. When I wrote the car chase I had it playing (to set the mood) and figured y'all might end up liking the song, too. Oh, and I've been listening to more Within Temptation. That song, Pale? I totally write "Knife of Romance" to it. They always remind me of you! ^^
As for this story, I can relate to Kags in a way, myself. She's never known anything but him, so she's curious. But you know what curiosity did to the cat. However, she isn't alone in the blame. Yasha is a little intense for his age and he needs to learn to curb it some. So, they both have learning curves to endure. We'll see how it plays out. :P Thanks again for popping in. Another great chapter. And, once again, I loved the interaction between Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. As a big sister, I know all about tormenting younger siblings until they do what needs doing. Sometimes, you simply have no choice but to kick ass until the younglings get in shape. You have to be cruel to be kind, LOL. Sessh did a great job of balancing that here. He's Dr. Jekyll again in this chapter. I'll be waiting for Mr. Hyde next time. :)
As for Kagome, she is now officially on Sessh's shit list.....and heaven help her. And I really liked how Kagome told her side of the break up here. When you look at it from that standpoint, her running away makes a lot of sense. She and Inuyasha dated all through high school, so she never got a chance to know any other guys since Inuyasha was pushing so hard for a permanent committment. At eighteen, I can see why a young girl wouldn't want to be tied down so quickly. Even if Inuyasha is a terrific guy (and he IS), it would be hard to kiss your freedom goodbye so young. And, I hate to say it, but young chicks don't appreciate good men like that anyway, LOL. And Kagome was more spoiled that most because Inuyasha trested her like a queen from the very beginning. Some folks just can't appreciate that until they get treated like crap. And, between Sessh and Kouga, it looks like Kagome is going to get a TOUGH lesson. And I look forward to it. Good one, girl.

I can get kagome, too. She's very young and wants to do things on her own, but she let go of someone unique. That will get her where she lives. Yasha, well, he's very intense for his age, and he needs to see some of the error in that. Kags messed up, but this mess is not entirely her fault. The people around them, though? Yeah, that should be fun. :P This is going to be short, but it will hopefully bring a few laughs.

Never been one to leave a review before, but I saw that you would like an occasional review from people who read your stories. Glad that you were able to update so quickly on this story, I know what you mean when you say life can get in the way of stuff like this. Anyway, hope life treats you okay.
Author's Response: That's true. :) I would like to hear from the people that read my work for two reasons: One, encouragement helps. If I know that people are enjoying the work and want to see more it motivates me to do it. It takes me HOURS to write a chapter now due to the carpal tunnel I developed as a result of updating so much. So asking people to tell me if they liked it isn't really a hardship for them (I hope). Two, I have a LOT of people that come here, and not all of them are "friends". I like to build a relationship, of sorts, with the people that read my work because it helps me separate the two. Right now, I'm strongly considering password protecting the entire site and just letting a small few that I've interacted with inside to avoid idiots that visit here for not so nice reasons. If I do that, a lot of people that visit legitimately will get cut off, but since they never allowed me to know who they were... See what I mean?
So, thanks a bunch for saying hello. You have an unusual name that I'll remember -and if I do close up the site- you'd be amongst the ones I'd let in. ^^
