Awwwwwwwwww! Little InuYasha riding around in a toy-corvette! How freakin' cute is that mental image? And...now hes got a real one. Very boss ;)
About that driving scene! OMG! Seriously, I love how you write InuYasha and Sesshomaru's brotherly scenes. I think their love-hate thing is captured perfectly. They have their banter, their fights, their arguments, but they always have each other's backs in the end...I think thats cool.
As for Kagome...you're right. Reading back she was kind of bitchy about the break-up. I would've taken him up on the giving her space thing he offered, unless it really REALLY wasn't working, but whatevs...she seems to like digging her own grave, which might get pretty hot because I have a feeling she's gonna get burned next chapter.
Maybe its just me, but how obnoxious is it when someone blocks out the sun when you're trying to have a conversation? And what...does she expect InuYasha to give her an explanation? He's not half-naked. Or her boyfriend...
I was on her side till Baby Yasha came along in his little red car. The puppy dog eyes did me in, lol ;P
Anyway, great update! I can't believe I almost missed it though! And about thanking me...Thank YOU for giving me something good to read. I swear, I'll be in the middle of an economics paper or doing my English homework (like now) wanting to shoot myself from the boredom and then I click on Abi and it's like "hey, she updated!" or I just re-read some of the older stuff. It never gets old or boring (like analyzing freakin' syntax does...-__-)
Also, thank you again for sending me the twilight stuff. I didn't like the movie (and surprisingly, my neice didn't either), but the soundtrack was great. "Decode" and "SBH" especially (I'm a big muse fan...for two years-ish now).
Till your next update! I can't wait to see what'll happen between Inu and Kags now. She kinda came out of nowhere, but thats what makes this really entertaining. Aaaaaaannd...this is a big one: Sesshomaru knows who she is now.

Author's Response: Girrrrrrrrrrrrrl, THIS is the review, lmao! I laughed so many times -you're too much. :P Where to start? I thought Yasha with a baby Corvette was too good to pass up. I remember when we bought our cousin a baby hummer from FAO Schwartz and I was like, omg. I have to do it! xD
And I, too, love Sess and Yasha together. I have more fun writing them than anyone else (can you tell???). The car chase was the most fun I've had writing in a while and I tried to make it entertaining -just the way I picture our boys- and I thought the song was perfect. My Inu and Sess love each other, but they love to fight more. Getting sentimental is totally not their style. Some call it butchering the characterization, but I write AU, so I feel perfectly comfortable writing them anyway I see fit. :D
Kagome, well >.> She's got it coming. I'll explain in the next chapter why she's there and we get to see InuYasha's reaction to her. Sesshomaru does indeed know who she is, and the fact that she's human doesn't help her cause. I'm hoping to keep this story fairly short (10 chaps, maybe?) so there will be small times jumps and stuff when I need them, but nothing drastic. It should have been 3 chaps, but I screwed that up. >.> And yes!!! Blocking the sun out of nowhere can be startling, lol. Only, he was probably REALLY startled because his ear was being rubbed. Hehe...

Kagome, sigh (I had to sigh with you on that one!). She's patterned after a handful of personal friends that who wanted to cut themselves away from everything they ever knew before college to start "all new lives". For some, it went fine. But for many others, they ended up regretting a lot of the moves they made, so she's a combination of personalities. Yasha is the proverbial "good guy" who isn't *that* good. He's a potty mouth, take no crap kinda persona who will give 110% to the one he loves -provided she loves him back. He's kind of discovering himself now, and dealing with his own personal demons, so hopefully he'll lears what he needs to by the end. That's all I can say.:P
This fiction isn't one of those "twist and turns" kinda stories, and it will still be fairly short, but I'm hoping the emotional realism will make it a fun ride nonetheless. I'll update again as soon as I can. :D

Wow...Karma sure is biting Kagome back hard. I wanna say she deserves it, but at the same time I can understand her wanting to live it up for a while on her own. I really like this fic! The title song is one of my favorites and its pretty exciting to read how things are going for Inu and Kags. InuYasha seems to be getting the experience that Kagome wanted while she's completely miserable (an interesting twist after what happened in the first chapter)............
As for the latest installment: "And they will stomp you like you stole something..." I laughed sooooooo hard when I read that! My brothers tell me that all the time! Also, the Kikyou-Sesshomaru banter was cool. I don't usually see (or, uh, read) them interacting much but it was done in a way that was funny and witty. Nice.
And, ah! They finally crossed paths! (InuYasha and Kagome, I mean). I love it! As I said, Kagome is getting hers back pretty harshly and that cold shoulder InuYasha dished out just adds to it.
And speaking of dishes(kinda)....HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Hope you're having a good one and enjoying it. ;D

I'm so happy to see that you enjoyed it. Like I said in the other reviews, this one was kind of hard. I was blocked forever on it, and by the end, I still wasn't completely happy. But it's done and I can finally move this thing to where it needs to go!
I knew a few people would get that 'stole something' reference, lol. We say it all the time, too, and it just felt like something Sess would say in that moment. xD I always keep my characters somewhat "urban", so there will always be little down home references in there for those that catch them. o.~
I don't see much Sess/Kik stuff, either, but I like them in this. They have this love/hate relationship. They're clearly attracted to each other, flirt outrageously, but pride and rivalry won't allow them to cross the line. It's pretty fun to write.
And last, Yasha and kags. Yesh, karma is giving her what she deserves. I can understand wanting to be free, too, but the way she did it was lousy. InuYasha has about a zillion doors open to him now, everything SHE wanted, and he doesn't want any of it. He's happy to go back to his simple life... or is he? hehehe...

Ooooooh you UPDATED my fic!! :D It looks like some stuff is gonna go down. Inuyasha and Kagome now know that the other is attending the same school...dun dun duhh! It seems that Kagome is finally realizing what a mistake she made. She learns quickly at least.
But it looks like you have plans to make Kagome suffer a whole lot more. How unfortunate that most things in life have to be learned the hard way - and Kouga will definitely be learning the hard way. I bet she has never known a guy who would just "fuck 'em and forget 'em" so Kouga should be a rude awakening for her.

Great chapter. And I loved all the "brotherly love" this time, too. :D I mean, let's face it, it simply wouldn't be Yash and Sessh if they weren't oil and water. Clearly, they love each other, but those two were never meant to have an easy relationship.....it's no fun! LOL.
As for the insults back and forth....they were hilarious. All of those members of the so-called in-crowd at West Shikon, male and female, (with the slight exception of Sango) are complete ASSHOLES. Uh, I don't like these people! If those folks could smell the way they act, it would be a landfill and a sewer all rolled into one!
Yash is going to be a breath of fresh air there, because he's nothing if not a rebel. And I can't wait to see how that plays out....or for Miro to show up to help him with that.....hopefully :)
However, before he becomes the rebel WITH a cause....he's got a broken heart to deal with. His first sight of Kagome was bad for both of them. And, as noted before, things are only going to get worse for Kagome when Sessh finds out what upset his otouto. And things already suck for her as is. What a mess. And I can't wait to read more. This was a treat, girl!

As usual, you hit the nails right on the head. Inu and Sess DO love each other, but they can't stay in the same place for longer than a few minutes before the shit flies, lol. Kagome, well, she wanted to be free and this is the price of freedom. But she's not the only wrong one. InuYasha has stuff about him, too. There is such a thing as "too" serious. Sango is okay, but she has a lesson or two to learn, as do every one of the elites. They're all bitches and bastards, and more will make cameos in future episodes.
This story was supposed to be 3 chaps, but you know what always happens. >.> They take on a life of their own and I can't shorten them without killing all of the "sense". So, here we are. :P
