So good so far! I was at work when I read this, so I had to come back and review :] I'm loving this story so far, and I can't wait to get more Kagome/Inuyasha action!

That just broke my heart. Hearing it from Kagome is hard enough, but now to hear Jinenji say it... I don't know why I was so worried about Kagome and Jinenji meeting. They both have the same self-respect issues. They'll get along just fine.
That was sweet of Souta saying that the youkai was ordinary but his sister was special. I dunno, I just really liked that line. It's such an innocent but heartfelt comment. He's a good kid.
I love these lighthearted endings!

Author's Response: Thank you for all the awesome reviews! I always get a kick out of the fact that you write as you read (I totally used to do that myself). XDDD This story is very different and a total role reversal with a far more feisty Kagome, so yeah, def not the normal hanyou situation most are used to. I figured, not everyone handles pain and rejection in a 'pitiful' manner; some make an enemy out of the world to shelter themselves and that's how Kagome is. Her motto is, better you than me, so she protects herself the best way she knows how.

As for Izayoi and her son, they have a bumpy road ahead. She really does think she's looking out for his best interests and that's what makes their story so tragic.

This story is great! I'm having a blast reading this.

Kagome is so lucky that demonic blood protects her from fatal stuff! Kinda reminds me of Claire in Heroes, where her natural healing ability prevented her from getting drunk. Superpowers are awesome.
What a change to have Kagome the hanyou, and not InuYasha. And she has such a bitter attitude about it! I'm used to fics where the hanyou is lonely and sad, not lashing out at the world. Not that I blame her. Being hated her entire life would leave some nasty scars. I can't wait til InuYasha's goodness seeps into that hard shell of hers.
I'm feeling more and more sad for what she has to put up with. Her life is so difficult. She needs an InuYasha hug asap.

Hey there, thought might try a new fic this time. And first thought that came into my mind was I can see that Kagome acts like Inuyasha and Inuyasha like kind hearted Kagome. (From the show and manga I refer to. (I hope that made sense... ^_^') Anyways, it's a good start and will be continuing reading. :)

Is this an appropriate tine to drop the "I hate to see you go, but I love to watch you leave" line? I know a grrrl's gotta do what a grrrl's gotta do, but regardless of what you may think, you and your writing will be missed.

Inuyasha's mother upsets me so much, but she's his mother and I know she's just trying to look out for her son. His dad is extremely scary and I would not want to be on his bad side lol. I am just curious as to what's going to happen now that he's moved out and (I'm assuming)his mom is going to go ahead with her plans. Either way, this fic is always a great read and one of the ones that are fun to read over again!

Inuyasha and Kagome are cute, sure, but Inuyasha's parents…I really can't stand them. I was willing to make an exception, because of how much they loved him, but I can't anymore. All they do is grate on my nerves with their ignorance. Anyway, great update and thanks for writing it.

OMG Inu's parents are really burning my biscuits in this chapter. So frustrating!!! Other than that, I'm loving the slow development of Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship. I thought it was especially sweet that he wanted to see Kags when he fell out with his parents.
