Beyond Redemption

The Placebo concert was absolutely awesome. Hands down. They didn’t just play songs from the new CD (which sounded so great live that I ended up enjoying them), but they played a lot of my faves and I genuinely had a ball. I went with my friend who got us into the seated VIP area, which gave us a great view and allowed us to get some great fancams.

In other news, the very next day, my friend was hospitalized again. He was able to come home on Friday, but chances are that Sunday or Monday he’ll be readmitted. It’s not anything super serious; they want to try new meds on him and would prefer to do so at the hospital so they can see how his body reacts to them before sending him home. It was a surprise, though, and kinda threw things out of wack for me.

My arms are better. I’m taking those supplements that deal with nerves (Carpal and cubital is all nerve pain) and I do see some improvement. I’m hoping in coming weeks the pain dwindles down enough to where it doesn’t hurt daily like it does now.

Anyway, I’ll be writing tonight now that I have a little more mobility (and painkillers). Don’t expect greatness. With so much going on, my mind hasn’t been on the words like it should be, but I’ll see what I can do. 0.~

So, I’m here to fangirl again! U-KISS’ new video came out last night, and fuck me, it’s so good. I hated the concept pics for the album, Collage, but they made up for it with the video. That dance. WAH! I’m such a fanatic about them. Can you tell? 

Kevin is gorgeous. (Yes, yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that jazz, but I think he’s  beautiful and I don’t say that about many guys -unless he’s InuYasha XD). I go into a fangirl-fucking-frenzy when I watch them perform, so trust, I downloaded that video immediately and have been raping it ever since!

Needless to say, your Grrrl is in a great mood!

Okay, in other news…

There may be a few times when you visit Absolution and it will be closed. Don’t worry; I’m not punishing anyone! I’m working on some techie stuff. I wanted to finish it yesterday (You may have noticed a few times when it was shutdown), but that didn’t happen, so I’ll be doing more today. Probably. Maybe.

Also, I’ll be doing some writing today. I don’t know if I’ll update this weekend, but that is the goal. (With a little luck, that will be the reality as well!) There will be new art soon, too. I ordered a birthday gift for myself from the awesomely talented Sarah-Belle, and I’ve already approved the sketch. It’s fucking amazing. I loved it immediately. She hit the mark so well; I didn’t even need to ask for adjustments. I’m so happy! \o/ I also updated the gallery with some stuff from my birthday and the original art from Fanasy of the Human and the Hanyou (“As One”). Speaking of, I should be doing some art with her and one other special person very soon, so expect more IY goodies at the site shortly!

I just realized I’ve updated 6 times in the last 6 weeks, which is some kind of miracle for me. My hands are starting to pay for it, but I just put on new braces, so hopefully that will help because I want to keep going while I “feel” it, ya know?

I made a dulce de leche birthday cake for mys ick friend yesterday (He shares that birth date with my mom and Dangersque aka Danga) and I made the leche myself.

The cake is yellow sponge with buttercream icing and dulce de leche filling/topping. >.> Probably 10lbs to the gut per slice, but those are his favorite flavors and he loved it. 😀

In fandom news, I’m done hosting contests. The Valentine’s Day one was the last. I spend a lot of money on these things, and most of the time, it’s not worth it. This last contest had a bit of an ‘upset’ with first place going to a piece that wasn’t technically’ as good as second place (both art), but apparently, struck a bigger chord with the judges. Let’s just say that I had zero issue with how, who, and what was chosen as the 3 winners. I completely understood the choosing and stand by it as the hostess of the contest and the only one who ever pays for these things. (With special thanks going to my graphics team, who provides the wallpapers)

In fact, everyone involved in the contest got a prize that was actually purchased, which means I spent money on it, but only a few bothered to even say thank you or congratulate the other winners. UGH. NO HOME TRAINING. It’s enough now, so no more money is going into the IY fandom unless it’s to benefit myself or my special ones.

Moving on…

I’m writing again today and I’ll have some new art for you guys to chuckle at. It won’t be a header, though. I’ve been reluctant to change headers yet because I adore the current one so much (You guys know I love baseball, so “Baseball Yasha” is one of my all time faves). I added the full pic to my gallery if you want to take a peek. I’ve been neglecting o post new artises there, so I’ll be catching up on that soon.

And last, thanks to everyone who dropped me a line at Absolution. Knowing you enjoy the updates motivates me to bring you more, so let’s see what we can do before my hands force me to take a break!

Sorry I couldn’t update something before the 1st like I planned.  Zero inspiration + lack of time is a bitch. I wasn’t 100% satisfied with my update, but it flowed fairly easily, so I won’t complain. 3600+ words from a mind that isn’t thinking fanfic is a pretty good feat. lol. I plan to try it again, so keep your fingers crossed for me. The hope is that I’ll get several chapters off the ground in the coming weeks. They’ll all be around the same size, word count wise, which will be easier on me. Oh, and I left an interesting hint in the last chapter (if you follow that story), but you know the rules: No leaving theories in your reviews. Just ponder it on your own…

In other news, I made my first member cut of the new year. Guys, I’m being dead serious. The rules at my site are absolute. I usually give people two chances to fuck up (Yes, I keep score), and when they do, I delete them without warning. No one is immune from that, because like I’ve said in the past, if you’re not there to enjoy the story, or if I feel like you don’t enjoy the stories, you’re gone without any warning and you will never get another account. Need a refresher on how things are? Go to my site and read the ToS. And no, I don’t feel like I’m some big deal and never have -don’t confuse me with other IY authors who think their shit smells like bakery biscuits. I just don’t subject myself to bullshit anymore -my house, my rules, or GTFO.

My friend, Ayling, made another artsie for me! She actually made this one first, but I only posted it now, so have a peek! She’s brilliant!

My very awesome g-artist, Neo, made a new layout for my main site (Go see!) using the art you see now, which was created by Sarah-Belle, who is just amazing. I came to her with almost no references, just a concept, and based on just my words, she was able to pull this pretty out of her hat and it’s exactly what I wanted. How cool is that? Then Neo, being the guru that she is, came up with my tattoo (makes me wanna get it for real!).

Of course, Absolution will have a layout and that’s where you’ll get to see the full art, and it’s really awesome. I’m so happy with it! <333 I'm working on updates and hope to have a couple for you guys by the weekend. I was feeling a little sick today (due to my new condition) and didn't get much done. But I'm working on it, and as stated before, turning over a new leaf. New site, new artwork, new chapters, and I'm getting rid of the old. I cut a few people off (and still doing so). They're not really friends anymore, so I'm done there. Life is too short and I wanna have my fun, not worry about who's mad at me this time and why, especially when I’m always going out of my way for people. But, what can ya do? Nothing. I just don’t care anymore; too many real life worries, ya know?

It took several days, but i finished Neo’s birthday fic on time! Woot! It’s called Can You Keep A Secret? and it’s yaoi-ish with a nice twist that I haven’t done before. If you usually shy away from my boylove, you may wanna check this one out anyway. It’s funny, and pervy, and cute if I do say so myself. 😀 It’s also almost 12,000 words long. Yipes! I haven’t written as much as I’m doing now in years (and i don’t mean like how I went on that big tear with The Neighbor, but generally updating all fics and making new ones). It’s fun and I hope I can keep it up for a long while!

Today, after work and such, I’m going to work on the new Money. Power. Respect. skin and try to make another header on my own (I made this MPR one. I’m not that great with graphics -still learning- but I like how it turned out. Almost like a mini version of the full art). I also got the sketch last night for my next one and WOW. The art is going to look better than the fucking fic it was made for! LOL. It’s for a super early story that needs an overhaul, but I always liked the concept of the story and thought it deserved some pretty art -and boy, is it gonna be pretty! ^________________^

I’m also going to work on Nutella’s oneshot. I want to see if I can get at least half of it done this week along with the end of Pas De Deux. But I’m not going to rush. These massive chapters lately (Like Secret and Pas) take a toll, so I’m going to write leisurely.

And I got another pretty yesterday!! I met the coolest g-artist on dA named Moniquiu who makes these amazing wallies (Seriously, go see her stuff. She has IY and VK wallies to die for!). I’ve mentioned her before because she honored my request to do a Human Yasha one a couple of weeks back.

Well, she started reading the fics I have posted (the smut-shots xD) and really liked them, including Playing The Angel and she made a wallie for it. I was so surprised and gushy! 😀 She used one of my favorite human arts, too, and it’s awesome. You can see the full version here. But I’ll post a smaller one now.

About a day ago my chick, LonelyDusk, offered to create a Human InuYasha for my story, “The Age of Innocence”, wearing a certain pair of glasses I picked out. Yeah, the girl delivered and she’s badass!

I love him -he’s so cuuuuute. 😀

Monday was a good day, a GREAT day. 😀

First off, it was Little Kikyou’s birthday and I celebrated it by getting her a new iPod Nano (the one with the camcorder), and a huge cake from her favorite bakery. For those not in the know, she’s the one I always mention that got me into IY. I call her Lil Kikyou because guess who’s her fave? >.> Anyway, she really enjoyed her gifts and that put me in a great mood. Next weekend I’ll probably take her to Coney Island. I’ve been promising Kau some goodies from there anyway, so I’ll kill two birds with one stone since I have a b-day gift pkge to send her.

The next best part of my day was logging into Deviant Art and getting not one, but two fanarts gifted to me. Made. My. Fucking. Day. The first was from the sweet, Kittygirl. She made some art for me once before of Jaden from Ever After. This time, it was a pic of Kagome from The Neighbor. Really cute stuff and totally dark with lots of “blood”. LOL. Have some peekage!

The next one really sent me into a squeeing frenzy. It was from my girl, T, a.k.a LonelyDusk. I don’t think this pic even requires a fucking intro…

Is that pretty or what? I think y’all know how much I love Human IY, so yeah, I think I screeched sufficiently. 😀 These babes seriously rock; they know how to cheer a Grrrl up big time!

I also got my commission back from Ayamegusa for “Love Like Winter“. To say it’s anything less than the fucking awesome would be a gross understatement. The image itself is massive, so I cut it down some. This is the copy I posted at my gallery with my automatic watermark, but I think you can still see how much detail she put into it. I gave her references for everything, even the ballroom, and she just tore it up. Fucking squee.

Yeah. Great fucking day, Monday was. 😀

As for updates, well, I’ve been doing some of a different nature. I know you guys will be like, WTF? I’m waiting on [insert fic] so hurry the fuck up!!! LMAO. I sowwwwwwwy!! I got the bug and couldn’t help myself! For the longest time I’ve been wanting to clean up my story, Amber. It’s the fic I wrote in 2005, all in one day, based on the movie “Somewhere in Time”. It’s my favorite movie of all time, and I’ve always felt awful about the way I wrote that story. I’ve grown as an author in many ways and I really want to make that story a better read. So, that’s what I’m doing.

Now, I’m not changing much of what was written. I was pretty inexperienced back then, and I want to keep that inexperience. I think an author’s work should show some growth between the very old and the very new. However, the grammar, sentence structure, and shit like that really needs overhaul. I’m also expanding some parts (like the lemon) and filling a few plot holes that I overlooked back then. I’m about to start on chapter 5 (that’s where I am at this point), but it shouldn’t take me too long since I did 4 chapters in 2 nights. I only have 11 real chaps in total, so yeah. Should be quick.

Why am I telling y’all this? Because that’s the hold up on why I haven’t updated anything else yet. Don’t fret, though. I have definite plans to update my current fics. I’m not as horribly busy as I thought I’d be. I’m finding that I can squeeze in a bit more time for writing, so that’s what I intend to do. 😀

I also have a new poll up, so vote! The last poll was interesting. Most of you (who actually voted) have been with me between 2 and 4 years -pretty cool. Though, there were a couple that signed on from way back when and I find that just O.O Speaking of, June 16th marks my 5th year of IY fandom/writing. Holy Fucking Shit. That’s kind of nuts. Who’d have thought I’d still be into IY all this time later? With all that has happened to me, and around me, since I got here, that’s a pretty fucking huge accomplishment. Party time! 😛
