Whoa...you where right, I don't EVER want to be in Hakudoshi's shoes or InuYasha's for that matter.
I feel like this chapter was emotionally involving; I could FEEL InuYasha go madly insane (literally), his rage, his devastation. Amazing...
I wonder how Sesshomaru feels having to restrain his little bro. Must hurt, especially how much he loves him.
(My favorite thing about the InuGrrrl world is how much love exists between the siblings(KoR)! XD
And Haku is still alive right?! I've grown attached, I'm afraid!
And by the way--‘his usual confidence non-existent as his wings wilted like dying flowers, flowers without light.’ Gorgeous simile.

This was THE most fun to write, and yes, definitely emotional. I tried to make his descent into madness feel really desperate. Like, it's finally hitting him that she will NEVER be his, no matter what he does. There's zero chance since he's up there and she's down there. So losing her is a hard blow, but literally watching himself lose her made him snap. I just love this InuYasha; he's really fun.
And this is, by far, my favorite Sesshomaru that I've written. He can be the disciplinarian, yet he still has a soft, compassion spot for the people he holds dear. He's a great big brother -but he does have his flaws. I would say that... he sometimes loves too much and will do anything to protect those who are allowed the honor. >.> You'll see that in chapters yet to be written.

It would make sense for Kagome to 'feel' his emotions, especially when she's with Hakudoshi. I guess InuYasha was more worried about saving an innocent child, than to stop and think about the possibilities and how she could effect him in the future...
And once again, I would HATE to be Hakudoshi... LOL!

LOL!!! My review for Chapter 4 was really long and blah blah about Rin as a teacher that I found quite cute! It's a shame it did not go through...
I know it's childish but, no matter how relatable and likable she is, I can never bring my self to truly acknowledge Kikyou. It must be the loyal die-hard Kagome fan girl in me! Anyway, LOVE where this is going! I have a feeling about where this story is going but I could be wrong! Thanks so much for putting your life on hold and writing to make others smile!

I love the way InuYasha's view of Kagome was woven in this chapter. It is so well written I can see a manga in my head with the panels over lapping as it shows whats happening with both characters simultaneously.
Hmmm...
I also enjoy the interactions between Kagome and Hakudoshi; I find him charming and reminds me of that nice good looking kid everyone's come across in life.

Thanks for the review love! I'm giddy that you're enjoying this one. I feel bad that I've neglected it so much. Hey InuGrrrl! How's it going? I'll be surprised if you even remember me because of my long hiatus :( but I do have an excuse! I go to University of Phoenix and their classes are a couple of weeks long...which means that they compact a normal 12-16 week quarter/semester into 5 weeks. It's a bit challenging, but I'm doing just fine. I'm just trying to focus on my degree so I can get out of college. It's been two years in which I was a part time student, but now that I'm truly full-time, I want to stay on track so that I don't have to repeat anything. I'm not getting any younger so I just want to hurry up with my schooling so I can focus on my non-existent social life. So I hope you can forgive my absence ;)
Gosh, I flippin' love 'Brotherly Sesshomaru' and I don't know why lol. Maybe it's because I think Sess & Inu's interactions are so cute, especially the chibi flashback.
I surely hope that InuYasha can succeed in his goal. I don't even want to think of the alternative. Anywho, what's up with Miroku and Sango? I'm guessing that he hasn't gone to see her because of the all the drama with InuYasha. Oh and Kikyo, this is one of the few stories that I actually like her character. In fact, I think you're like the only one who can pen her in way that makes her a likable character, so kudos ;) It was really nice what she did and I understand her pain :( I'm also interested in what's going to happen with Sesshomaru and Rin. I have a theory and feel free to correct me, if I'm wrong...(lol, but I know you won't reveal the story to me, so scratch that last part heehee), I think that somehow, Sesshomaru's going to decide to live as a human on Earth with Rin...that's all I got for now lol.
Thanks for the update; it was very enjoyable and I look forward to the next one :) And I'll try not to be a stranger! Oh and I'm loving the new wallpapers!

Wow I really love your story. The concept is very interesting and unique. I also really appreciate your portrayal Kikyo. Rather than make her into a completely unlikable character you make the reader sympathize and try to understand her plight. Can't wait to see how the plot progresses.

Okay, so I've been reading your work for a while, and I've been feeling really guilty about never reviewing.
In general, I love your work. You're incredibly talented, but there's something about this story that makes it one of my favorites. I can't really explain it, but I love how original it is-- it's nothing like any other IY fic I've read, and you do a beautiful job of keeping the major canons in character, even when their relationships with eachother are completely flipped from the manga.
Even with my huge dislike for Ayame/Kouga (or just Ayame's character in general, I never much cared for the anime), I have nothing negative to say-- I am, however, really looking forward to your next chapter <3

When I checked my mail and saw that this was one of the first stories you updated, I couldn't wait to read it (sooooooo excited! - this story has always been my absolute favourite <33 -insert happy dance here! ) LOVED it -- I had tears running down my face with a big silly grin to match! I really liked how you added the "born for her" and "mine to protect" references, it was so appropriate and well done!
