Interesting ficlet you have here. I really liked the idea of a criminal type family and all the hardships caused by being involved with one.
This was the first Kouga/Rin I've ever read and you pulled it off. Quite nicely. Being able to write this well while using prompts and word limits is challenging enough. But you did it AND made it look easy. And, you accomplished it with your two least favorite characters playing the leads. Wow. *claps*
You still amaze me to this day! Luv ya, and looking forward to more from If I Want To. ^_^

The ending was so poignant. My heart ached for Inuyasha, Kouga, Rin and Sesshoumaru. Everyone was once again Naraku's victim. This was really good and I didn't see the twists coming. Thanks for finishing and writing this!

Just finished this story (sorry I haven't reviewed in a bit, I was away on vaca for a while!) and wanted to let you know I really enjoyed reading it! The characters may not be your favourites, but the story was still great (no surprise there ^__^)
I'm glad you're feeling better (physically) but sorry you've been having such a rough time of it these last few weeks. For what it's worth, you're in my thoughts!

Awww...I like this! It was cool seeing Kouga trying to pull away from "the life" after prison changed him. Reminded me a little of the movie 'The Town,' just because of how crime and Kouga wanting to get out strained his and InuYasha's brotherly bond. SO sad how he turned the gun on him, but it was sweet how InuYasha still let him walk.
And I loved Rin. It was adorable how she confessed her feelings and hella funny how she just went for what she wanted ("Roll comando" xD). Bittersweet endings are my favorite kind of endings, and this was beautifully bittersweet. Awesome how you tackled this pairing and did such a great job, especially developing Kouga's character, in such short but sweet pieces.

Yeah, yeah, yeah - I'm a sucker for sad endings. Though, I guess it wasn't exactly a sad ending since Kouga and Rin did end up getting away and having children. So, Kouga turned the gun on Inuyasha? I was guessing he'd turn the gun on himself or something, but I'm definitely glad I was wrong because I would probably be crying a lot more right now.
Kouga's never been one of my favorites, but he isn't on the bottom of my list either. I just started liking him a lot more because of these drabbles. This was my first Rin/Kouga and I'm considering looking up a few more stories with this pairing now.

Wow! I did NOT see that ending coming at all. I so thought Inuyasha was dead...I really did. It was a sweet ending though; Kouga and Rin both getting out together and having their child. Yay! I hope you feel accomplished, you did good! I really enjoyed this!

AAHHHH! They're so far gone into their mob war they can't even see something good right in front of them! Poor Rin. She waited for Kouga for so long only to find out he had set out to kill her. How awful for her. She gave a guy her virginity and as a thank you he was gonna kill her. Ouch.
