Excellent chapter. You gave us a lot of background on Inuyasha. What is an I/K fic without the ghost of Kikyou thrown in for good measure. I'm glad she'll only be a ghost though.
The ice skating idea is so romantic. I tried to do that once, and came back black and blue. More black than blue. I guess my body decided that I needed more under my girth than two thin pieces of metal. But it does look like Inu and Kags are doing well on it.
Thanks for updating. And BTW, I love the little chibi icon in the url bar! CUTE!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, Caity! I think I'm turning fluffy in my old age, lol. GFE has been coming along so well for me. It's one of the few fics I really enjoy penning. Oh and thankies about the chibi! I put one on Eternal Destiny, FPF, and Lucient's site too (Luc has sessie tho). They're totally adorbale :P

I love how this is going, and I can tell you're into it. You even made me like Kikyou!! (because she's dead, ofcourse)XD I love that InuYasha cared so much about his lost love, and it was so sad that she died the night he was going to propose to her. So sweet. His whole thought processes are the best, and his interaction with Kagome is so entertaining to read. They're so passionate together, and you made them so natural around each other. I hope they both open up some time soon, but I know someone is going to get hurt real bad once they do =(
I loved the call between Sess and Inu--funny! I loved the ice skating! I loved all of it! Every scene had me hanging on each word -- which is pretty unusual for me, especially when I'm in a hurry like now ._.
Keep it up, awesome one.

GREAT chapter. I really enjoyed the fluff here with Kagome and Inuyasha. Kags is sinking like a stone, and Yasha is already sunk....that's so SWEET! Now, I have no illusions about the fact that you still have evil ways to torture them devised (namely the fact that they do not know that their businesses are in direct, hostile competition), so I'm enjoying the sweet stuff while it lasts, lol.
As for Inuyasha's back story with Kikyo....that was great. I think you may be softening up on Kikyo; you don't seem to dislike her as much. I understand that sentiment because neither do I. I hated her intensely when I first started watching the anime, but as learned more about the character, I realized that she isn't nearly the villainess we first thought her to be. She is just a tragic victim of circumstance....who loved Inuyasha ALMOST as much as Kagome (and boy was that ever painful to admit, lol). So, I was glad to see that you brought her in as the one who awakened Inuyasha's heart....becasue that is her true role anyway.
Terrific as always, and I look forward to reading more soon.
Author's Response: That's it! You hit it right on the head. I completely mirror those remarks. I don't hate her as much. I still couldn't write a full out fic for them, but I have accepted Kikyou's role in his life. Not saying she'll never be my "baddie" again, but I understand her more. I'm glad you liked that chap! I did too, it really flowed well for me.

W00t, Kiki's on a rooolll :D That reaally makes me want to write, haha. What sucks is that I'm getting distracted by an RR I'm writing with a friend, and it's really not helping my block... I'm thinking of adding that to my fics, but LATER, once I've finished one or two :S Especially since there are a few I started when I was like 15... and they really suck. Anyway, why am I talking about myself? Lol. I loved this chapter, it was really amazing. Not so full of action, yet it slowly brings us to the part where they fall in love. It annoys me that Kikyo is his ex, and that she died. I find it easy to hate her when she cheats on him or something... but when she dies, I can't have those same hateful feelings :( *sigh* Anyway, it was really great, and I can't wait for the next!!

Silly thing is, Kagome didnt seem to "listen" to the music words... i mean really listen. If she listened she'll understand more...but who cares, she's falling or already fell! YAY. i swear i love this story more and more with every chapter. poor Inu, i like the back story with him and kikyou, its a good twist instead of the usual mean ex girlfriend. does he know who kagome is and that his brother is planning a hostile take over of her company? or is he finding that out at the meeting?

Woo hoo! I just got back and checked the mail...chapter!!! (It was as if Kiki sent me the shut up Jen e-mail) :)
Loved this chap!!! Sweet and a little fluffy and kinda' sad. Loved the ode to Ax with the whole Knives thing. People with size 5 feet are the shit, too!!! (Giving me even more reason to like Kagome). Now we just wait to see if she opens up to Inuyasha and how exactly Inuyasha goes about explaining to Kagome that he's not actually a prostitute- more like part of the family that is her chief competition (I think they should "merge" huh? huh?)
