I thought Kouga was bad, but compared to his father, he's an angel! I can't believe there's someone worse than him. I hope the mayor isn't going to support Logan's proposal of destroying the forest. All those poor animals and trees, not to mention IY and Kags! =(
And I wish Kagome didn't get scared. Inuyasha was just trying to love her. Gah! I have to keep telling myself that it'll all work out. But that last sentence was so sad...

OMG, that caught me by surprise and guffawed! Funny stuff.
Well, people fail to understand -when they read this fic- that Kagome still doesn't know what InuYasha is. She's accepting, but she's also human and humans tend to fear what they don't understand, especially in a situation like that.
I don't think y'all realize that she was asking him to stop before he started to change -he just couldn't hear anything beyond his youkai. At this point, she's terrified because he's going too far (i.e. close to rape) AND he's turning into what essentially looks like a monster.
Who wouldn't be scared of that?

Great chapter, definitely wasn't expecting the angst, actually. But I like the sense of worlds starting to collide, regarding the impact of Inuyasha's demon side on their relationship and that there are people in favor of obliterating the forest altogether for profitable opportunities. On a side note, Kouga is a much better guy in this fic than in the series, don't find myself rooting for him very often, haha. Thank you for taking the time to update this story, it's one of my favorites :)

Though I sorta understand Kagome's reaction, I sorta wish this chapter wasn't so angsty. I wish she just rolled up a newspaper, bopped him on the nose, went bad dog, you don't get that treat yet, and went on with trying to help him find himself. That said, I still loved the update. LOL @ bad dog. That made me laugh! But you should be warned (Though, you should already know) that I write angst, not fluff. I think those who follow this one have been spoiled because I've written almost zero angst, but that isn't my forte -by a long shot. I'm actually shocked that I've held up this long without writing my beloved angst. So, consider it a good thing that I didn't take it much, muuuuch farther (because I really could have and would have LOVED to do so!). XD

This story has such a magical feel to it! I keep picturing sunlight streaming through the trees, making dewy blossoms sparkle and Inuyasha and Kagome a bit hazy, like a dream. Its like a real fairytale. So far its very different from your other work, I love how dynamic you are - Do you write professionally? If not you should! You have some amazing skills! Love it so far!!!

oh poor Inuyasha his frustration and inability to communicate rips at my heart! Poor thing language barriers are tough but to not be able to communicate with the one person who you want to well it's heartbreaking. I shed more than a few tears reading this chapter. That's one of the most remarkable things about your writing is how you can draw out the emotions of your reader! Thanks for all your hard work!

Omg. I haven't had the time to read anything you've updated in sooo long that I was dyingg! I have an exam bright and early tomorrow morning but seeing that this was updated was pretty much the highlight of my day. I'm soo curious how the whole Doc Hiro meddling/Kouga story will play out and end up affecting Kagome and Inuyasha's relationship. I love how much attention you actually give to the "side" characters in your stories in general. Honestly, I kind of like Kouga (minus the whole hunter thing) in this story because he's really well-written and while I'm definitely not rooting for Kagome-Kouga, he becomes a better character in my eyes each time I read about it. And I feel really bad for Inuyasha T.T! It seems like nothing went his way this chapter, and I was so torn when Kagome told him to get out at the end :(. I really want them to be happy together forever (yay for naive, happy optimism!), but I totally understood why she was scared when Inuyasha transformed so quickly. I guess I'll just have to imagine a happy ending to this chapter haha or else my heart shall be terribly sore through my exam tomorrow. Anyway, lovely chapter as always and please update again soon!

No no no, don't run away Inu... God that's such a way to end it! I felt like crying on some parts. It was hard enough for him with the language barriers and all, now he's got the 'monster face' that scared Kagome, and just breaking his heart more. :'( Well, I can understand Kagome being scared, he just got a little too excited. The question is would he dare to come back, or would Kagome even try to look for him? Then there's the issue with Lupine, senior. I just know the next update will be worth the wait.
