For writer’s block, that was a pretty cute chapter ^-^. It’s great that you finally got this one out after so long and what’s so good is that they met!
That little bear seemed so cute and playful! Ahh… it made me want a cub too. Hehe. I liked how Kagome acknowledged how the mother bear felt and tried to make it so the bear wasn’t hurt.
I wasn’t prepared for how Kagome acted towards InuYasha at the beginning, but I understood that a girl, alone, in the woods, would act the same way. I really like how all the titles for all the chapters always have so much meaning in them.
This story is kind of reminding me of Tarzan, with the whole in a forest (Tarzan in a jungle), language barriers (Wolf vs. Ape.), and the interest in the female (Kagome and Jane).
The end was a shocker though; I can’t believe InuYasha was hurt so badly that he almost blacked out! It’s good that Kagome finally got up the courage to help him out before it was too late… or is it too late? Oh no, don’t tell me that you’re killing InuYasha off so early… ahhh! Safe recoveries are always welcome! Please update soon.
Author's Response: Thanks, Nat! You know, Tarzan honestly never occurred to me. I was thinking of Beauty and the Beast when I started this, but I can definitely see how the "ape man" comes to mind. But Yasha can speak -sorta. And he understands, so there's a little difference there. I definitely had block, but now I feel a bit clearer so I may start the next chapter of this one today while it's fresh in my mind. And I know Kags acted freaked by him, but look at him, lol. I'd be freaked, too. But don't worry, she doesn't stay that way. ^_^

I really enjoyed the end to this one. I was a little nervous with Kagomes response to Yash initially, but I am happy to see that she will give him a shot. Yash is so self-les and fragile in this fic and I really want to see him happy and loved. So I look forward to them building a relationship and eventually falling in love.
I was trying to avoid work all weekend and I reread a bunch of your other stuff, and I must say that I love your version of Yash. You are by far my favorite interpretation of his character, and the way you transfer his canon feudal era persona to modern life is superb. I absolutely adore him in PBE. He is absolutely perfect, flaws and all. You have def raised the bar for all men I come in contact with from here on. I am quite interested in learning how PBE will end, so if you have any steam left, can you please try to get that one out soon?
We have another Joey to lead our team, which makes me happy b/c I can keep all my goofy nicknames! I am glad Mattingly wasn't chosen b/c I think he might have continued Joey I's program and with so many other people leaving and the general atmosphere changing, a whole new program might be needed. I think we need to get back to having fun and enjoying the game as a team. I didn't see that in some of our vets last year. So if we can freshen up some of our spots and get everyone excited once again, I know we can get #27. On a side note, wasn't it hilarious that nobody cared the Red Sux won, and were more focued on our new Manager? No matter what, they will always be second!
Author's Response: Girl, first off, thank you SO much for telling me about that little copycat. I was so pissed, but the story has been removed and I'm in a better mood. This has happened to me before and I never get any less incensed. -.- But thanks to my peeps (like you), I'm able to zero in on that kinda shit and take action. So, again, thank you VERY much. I appreciate it.
Now, the fiction. Wow, I'm humbled, seriously humbled. I get so much flack for being OOC, especially when I first started presenting my version of Yasha. Even now a lot of people hate my characterizations because I won't follow the canon formula. But I write InuYasha the way I see him -arrogant and strong, a bit of an asshole, but a sweetheart deep down. When he loves, it's without condition and when he hates, it's with fierce passion. I just can't do him any other way. :P I write because of him, so I admit that all of my energy goes into shaping him and everyone else plays the back -haha. But the fact that you like him so much tells me that I'm doing something right! PBE, I'm actually halfway through the next chap and there are about 2 chaps before it's over. So you should expect something soon because I want to close the door on that one.
This chappie had me all blocked up! I needed them to meet, but it couldn't be something as simple as him showing up at her door. Plus, I wanted Kagome in HIS element so she could see what he was about, which we'll see in the next chap. I wanted this fic to be super short and now I'm thinking that it won't be. I was gunning for 6 chaps, but now I'm gunning for 8, but either way, there will be no more than 10.
The Yanks! Where do I begin??? What the hell is happening with them, girl? I'm with you, I wanted Joey G. I think he has the fire to get these guys motivated for #27. I wasn't happy about Arod, but I wasn't too upset either. All of the season before (booing season) I said he should leave and find someplace to be happy, and he did. But at the same time, Boras has made it wildly obvious that it's all about the money -a price tag I don't think he's going to get. I'm also angry with Alex for blowing Hank Aaron off. I mean, are you insane? They say Scott Boras was behind that, too, and he probably was, but Alex is a grown man. I lay that blame at HIS feet. He's just looking so arrogant and ungrateful right now... Ungh.
The Red Sux, now that is funny. Like, no one covered their parade. All of the talk has been about the Yankees and Arod -and that just has to feel so good. *snort* They're jerks, so they're getting their due. Yanks rule!!! (Even when in transition, lol)

Finally, they meet. I have to admit the idea of a language barrier never occured to me. No doubt this might cause a slight problem with the relationship. I also like the flashbacks with Izayoi you keep showing, they're a nice touch.
Author's Response: Thanks Drake! I actually add the Izayoi stuff because the readers have no idea how he was raised or anything about him (since most of the focus is on Kags). Like, there's a reason behind every one of his actions, so I try to show that. And he hasn't spoekn to anyone in 11 years -he's gotta be rusty! lolol. You updated 7th key!!!! Sooo reading that today!

So sorry that it has taken me a bit to review but with school starting and work, and the bad sorms here in chicago RL is kicking my butt!
Ah! so we learn more about our hero Inuyasha. awe he gave her a dress. this is cute like passing note in the classroom, to avoid he teacher.
"But now he weighted the consequences of every action becasue he wanted to make sure that he always came home to her". that have to be my favorite line ever. oh Maikeru seen something, he is such a thoughtful person. I LOVE YOU INUYASHA YOU CAN BE MY MATE ANYTIME!!!!! I wonder if he even thought she wouldn't know that trying to be nice and wanted to do something in return met that they were courting? And what the hell was behind Kagome? was it Inuyasha? damn cliffy well I can't kill you I need you to write more chapters. And I have to say I like what you've done here. I can't wait to see what other changes you've done.

Took me bout 2 days to finish this with all that i had to do >< I really love this fic, you always take the time out to pummple the emotions into your readers! ^^ I'm glad yashie is gonna go for her n confront her, i jus hope he gets to her bfore she leaves, or if she leaves. Bounces around and races in circles!! Another chappie!! Another one!! Yay!!! ANd I love the way Kagome is a Nature girl! Inuyasha with the wolf and their interactions are wonderful!! Love the wildness of the story! Kagome is going to finally meet Inuyasha? and I am squirming about the Dr and his wife! They are going to make Kagome miserable when they force her away from her home and shove her into a world she won't fit into properly. Inuyasha also isn't to take them taking her away from him with a smile and a laugh. I can see a protective Inu-hanyou and wolf getting very upset!! and the possiblity of wolf being harmed!! oh noes!! Can't wait!!

Oh he's so tender, it's heartbreaking. SO sad to see him questioning why no one loves him or why he's alone- finding fault in himself where none lay. I enjoyed the chapter. The meddling albeit well-meaning old couple are putting me on edge though. I can't wait for the next chapter. Beautiful work as always!
