Loved it!! I was so happy to see an update for this fic :-) Great chapter. I cant wait to find out what will happen the Forest, as well as Inu and Kagome's relationship. I hope Kouga is a "good guy" in this fic, but I'll just have to wait and see.

I'm passionate about InuYasha/Kagome and Sesshomaru/InuYasha, and not much else. I still have some stories that have a bunch of people in it (mostly the really old ones), but the ones that don't have a lot of characters from the beginning -like this one- will never have a lot and my focus will still lie in IK's personal story because I simply don't care about anyone else. So, yeah, since you're my 3rd "Finally Sesshomaru" I felt like I needed to put that warning out there that he isn't getting a big part in this story. Or any other story of mine that doesn't focus on him as part of a couple.

But also remember to take things at your own pace, I know how demanding reviewers can be (Cough me cough). But I also understand that things are going on in your life. Im excited to see Sess in the scene now, seeing as alotng of un-answered questions will be questioned. (Also bringing in more questions as well!) Kagome and Inuyasha love eachother so much in this fic that they're willing to overcome anything just to be together. Inuyasha wanted to leave but that was because he wanted Kagome to be happy, no? So beautiful and selfless. (If only there were sexy half-demon men that would cherish me.) By the way, Happy anniversary! 8 years of dedication is pretty admirable. :) Keep up the good work Inugrrl! As for the story, don't expect Sesshomaru to play a huge part The focus of the story is on IK, and everyone else's role will be small, to a degree. Can't say too much, tho. :D

I find that that the more entangled I make things, the more work it becomes, and the less likely it is to be completed. So, time to cut back and focus on what's important to me as a writer, which is solely IK, in this case.

And I for one (among many others I'm sure) are soooo incredibly grateful and happy that you are still here 'chipping away'! Love your writing, and this story is one of my favourites. You bring tha characters and this story to life so remarkably you can 'hear the twigs cracking under their feet as they walk' or smell the rain in the air...I absolutely love it!
Also nice little cliffy you left for us! Looks like Inuyasha may get some answers afterall... maybe...

It's been a long, hard 8 years, I must say. I've wanted to quit dozens of times, but my core is too tough, so I just stick it out, updating when I can and trying to remember why I loved doing it in the first place. And of course, I take you guys' feelings into consideration. You've all been with me a long time, so I feel like I want to honor that by doing my best to finish -even when so many others have dropped IY fic. So, I'll do my best for as long as I can, or at least until I finish this crop of stories. :)
No comment on the story -heh. You'll have to wait and see how things play out. ^^

I had a feeling Sess would throw some of you for a loop. This story is really focused on InuYasha, Kagome, and the isolated world they're building together, so dropping another character into it was supposed to make your brow rise! But I assure you, the focus of this one is still on our main couple and their trials and tribulations. :D

I can't believe it's been 8 years, either. O_O I've outlived all the jerk-offs who gave me crap in this fandom, making this a pretty sweet anniversary. :P I just wish I didn't have this damn carpal tunnel and had my old interest in writing back -I'd really be blazing then, lol. But, alas, I'm just happy that I can get my head into fanfic enough to write at all. My hands still give me shit, but as long as I take my time and wear y braces, I can still get some stuff done.
Glad you liked the update, too. :D I really struggled, tho! I used to be able to bang out a 5-8k chapter without much thought, but now -yeesh. Every sentence pulls out a molar! I'm hoping it will get better now that I feel like writing more...

Chapter 13. Gotta love when sesshomarou finds a way to come in the plot!
Chapter 12. Horse? Carriage? What year is this roundabout? When I read chapter 13 I thought it might've been the feudal era up until the end when (boom!) a call was placed. 19th century to early 20th perhaps? I shall continue reading.
Chapter 11. Starting to see where koga came from. Inuyasha beast mode engage! Must get to the bottom of why he talks like that! Sesshomarou is around, yet inuyasha was left to fend for himself with his pet wolf in the forest after his mother died?
Chapter 10. The man involved with the hunters? I wonder if he is referring to them because they are just wolves or due to another reason. I hate matchmakers. Hate them. Starting to connect the dots backwards here haha.
I'm going to have to come back tomorrow and read the rest. I'm so tired after work that I'm reading things wrong. The last straw was when I read "how are you faring?" As " how are you farting?". Yup, that's my que to go to sleep and rest hahaha.

But if you look at the canon, where he really was around, his presence made no difference because InuYasha still grew up in a forest alone. lol.

Good chapter and good to see you back! Inuyasha is ridiculously adorable in this fic, and I'm glad Kagome came to her senses before too much damage was done. However, it looks like their peace is going to be short lived. The doctor is coming while Inuyasha is in Kagome's house half naked (yum!). And Kouga is contacting Sesshoumaru of all people. Yes, the stuff is gonna hit the fan in a big way, and I look forward to it. Thanks for continuing to write, girl.

InuYasha is quite the cutie, ne? I love his character in this because he's so pure and innocent. He doesn't understand the ways of the world, so he's not corrupted, and at this age, probably can't be. That's what makes him special and perfect for a girl who isn't worldly, either. Kagome knows just enough to keep themselves out of imminent danger with society, and his physical strength and natural need to protect what's his makes them wonderful together. Now, we just need to see if they get their happily ever after....
