It's always refreshing to see characters in different role than in the original series, such as Ayame being the pursuer of Inuyasha rather than the norm of Kikyo. Love it :)
Only got to this chapter tonight, but I am definitely going to get to the other ones this week. I'm glad too see I'm behind on the updates :) Keep going lol

Yay!! 2 updates!! And what perfect day to catch up on them then on Labor Day where I don't have to do anything! haha!
But wow, never expected anything like that from Izayoi. But it's always nice to see her play a different character and not always as the nice supportive mother others portray her as. And ohhh, love the way Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship is going. haha.

Yikes... Unless the plan is to blackmail Inuyasha by holding Jinenji's home above his head, I don't see this plan working in Izayoi's favour. That is, if the aim is to bring him closer.
And Kagome didn't notice the bite marks? I would have thought that'd be the first thing Inuyasha brought up...

not one update, but two!! could not have asked for a better surprise logging on today - and you know this is one of my favorites, so I'm always mega excited to see more on this fic! really excited to see how the storylines play out - what with Izayoi and Sesshoumaru's meddling, and with of course the IY/K relationship - and glad that the writing muses have been favorable. hope you're well!

I really can't stand Izayoi. She loves her son and I get that, but she's just so arrogant and selfish...Inuyasha's whole family is pretty messed up, but at least Sesshoumaru is hilarious XD. He might just be my favorite in this one.
It's hard to believe that this took you two days, it's so well written. Thanks for the update!

You are without a doubt the most amazing, uplifting, gut churning writer ever! I love you so much that if I ever make my way up to NY, you HAVE to let me buy you lunch, dinner, or even just ramen to show you my love and appreciation!! This update was as usual: AMAZING!!! I usually don't hate on Izayoi, but in this case, you have really done such a magnificent job that I can't help but feel like I want to smack her across the face a couple of times!! Grrrrrrrrrrr!!! She really pisses me off!!!
I was watching The green Mile the other day, and I saw one of the actors and I realized that I really hated his guts, I have seen him in other things, and in the entertainment news and I have always disliked him, but I realized that it is not that he is a horrible person, it is that he played his character so well, that he made himself be hated with such a passion!
For all I know, he could be the most loving, caring person in the entire world, but no matter how hard I try to see him in a different light, I always end up disliking him, and I always end up looking for reasons to dislike him!!!
The fact that you write your characters so well, makes the same true for me. I love some and I loathe some in ways that seem unreal!!
My day to day life is nothing to write home about. Many sad things, many challenges, and nothing pleasant in between. But when your updates come in, you always take me away from all of that into a world where I smile, laugh, and sometimes even cry! Those are very strong emotions, and you pull them out of me in such an effortless way that I end up amazed! By the time I finish each and every single chapter I feel this huge rush of adrenaline that just keeps making me feel above anything that would bring me down!
You are my favorite drug! I am hooked and so addicted, that I can hardly wait for my next fix! My withdrawls torture me, but I am willing to suffer them just to enjoy the next dose of my fix again!

Inuyasha is so sweet!!! Kagome is finally trying to become more open to the fact that someone besides family is actually trying to love her and I am happy to be reading about her journey! I must say that I am fairly curious as to what's going to happen when Inuyasha finds out about what his mother and brother are doing. They can't hide what they're doing forever. I do feel like his father would probably be easier to "convince" when it comes to his son's happiness and letting him live his life the way he wants to. Even at the cost of pain, thanks for writing. Don't work too hard! :)

I hope your wrists are alright. I recently tore a ligament in my knee. Even walking too long leaves me laid up in bed, popping aspirin to conteract the swelling. So I can somewhat imagine what you are going through.
Thank you for this chapter! I am really curious about Inuyasha's background. How did he come to view demons so differently from his "parents"? His real mother? I have to say that it is refreshing to see Kagome as the demon. I know you're not the first to "reverse" the story, but still too few writers take a stab at it (and fewer even do a decent job). I have no definite grasp on this story yet. But I am looking forward to seeing how it develops!

You know, Izayoi isn't really OOC because this is the alternate universe. How one is raised, and what they experience, shapes who they are. That's the beauty of AU -you are not bound and chained to the boring canon standard. One of the reasons why I stopped reading IY fanfic was because, even in AU stories, he behaved the exact same way as he did in canon. That's so boring to me. I want to see the characters I love in all kinds of situations with all kinds of personalities; that's what makes fanfic exciting for me and that's what the alternate universe means to me. ^^

The past two updates have felt like one big cloud of WAFF and ^_^ loved it! Then of course there is Inuyasha's family being very devious. I really loved how you portrayed them so cold, especially his mother's whole for "the greater good of Inuyasha", classic the means justify the ends. I hope your wrists are okay and I can't wait for the next updates :)
