This story is ultimately my new favorite and I am in constant anticipation for the next chapter! I like how Inuyasha diffused that situation quick and fast. Keep up the good work, everything is always written very well!

I don't have the same love with this story like with The Knife of Romance or Love Like Winter, but I think I'm getting there. I liked this chapter. I can understand how Kagome doesn't want to let Inuyasha close to her, she just wants to protect her heart. Poor girl. Respect for Inuyasha! he's so kind and understanding, stubborn as he tries to get close to her ^^

I feel like I'm kinda slow, but it took me until now to realize why specifically Ayame is Kagome's rival, and why she's after InuYasha. She's obviously what Kouga is to InuYasha in the canon. DUH! *facepalm* I'm very guilty of not thinking/analyzing anything at all, and just reading on the surface of things. I don't know why I suddenly had this epiphany now and not sooner! I feel like an idiot!

Anyway, I'll stop my ramblings now, which have nothing to do with anything.

I'm so glad you updated this, as it's one of my favorite stories of yours! I just love it. For some reason a gruff hanyou Kagome being seduced by a kind and friendly InuYasha just seems so adorable to me!

There's no jewel to fight over, so Ayame is playing up to Kouga's senseless (and baseless) jealousy. Right now, she thinks InuYasha is hot and worthy of a fling (remember how she really feels about humans), now, that may change, but that's what she's interested in now and losing to a hanyou is a blow to her ego. She's determined to win InuYasha over just to rub Kagome's face in it and show her dominance as a full-blood. But if you're following the hints, matters of love won't be the only place where they clash.

I've tried hard to make InuYasha a lot like Kagome -really understanding and really into his hanyou, but with a bit of a temper when he's pushed to the edge. The one place where they kinda differ, though, is with Ayame/Kouga. InuYasha is nice, but a lot more decisive and firm than Kagome ever was. Thanks for the R&R. I appreciate it!

on kouga in canon the rivalry looks rather shallow and pathetic but on ayame it makes her look like a catty bitch (which is an oxymoron-- lol).

wow, it's been so long since i had reviewed this... grandbaby born and my daughter hospitalized three times with bad kidney. i'm glad i got to review all the other story but it's bedtime and grammy-daycare starts early so sorry, this is all she's writing tonight. still a great story and going strong, thanks lovely.

Congrats on your grandbaby (that's awesome), but my sympathies for your daughter. Hospital stays SUCK. My friend was in the hospital for 2 weeks and we've been battling illness ever since. I have high hopes that he'll get better in time, but for a while, it was very touch and go, so best wishes to her. I hope she has a speedy -and permanent- recovery!
