I had missed this story somehow, but found out about it becuse of the recent update. I have to say I really like the role-reversals (ish), but especially InuYasha. He is so cute, like a needy puppy that just wants somebody to scratch his tummy (haha, the puppy analogy was the only thing that came to my head XD). Will it be too selfish if I ask you to please update? I really like this story!
Author's Response: Not too selfish at all. :D I'm just sorry it took me so long to update this much. :( I suck for that, but I did start the next chapter and I'm trying my best to stay focused so I can get something up in better time.
I like Yasha in this one, too. I'm able to take some of Kagome's cuter qualities and give them to him without having him come off like a girl. xD

Another Wickedly Awesome Chapter!!!
The lovely (licks lips) image of InuYasha doing his morning exercises is a very tastey treat! I did giggle at InuYasha's thoughts of Sesshoumaru stinking. The idea that Sess the pretty boy having a bit of an aroma problem when exercising made me giggle a storm.
I loved the way he is determined to show Kagome that there is a reason to trust and open up again and his little quips of 'this may bite my butt'
The scene between Kagome and her mom was heartbreaking. They are both hurting so badly. And the sweet glimpse of hope appearing is wonderful.
Poor InuYasha. His parents are quite trapped in their Image and society's Views of them. I feel for all them. Sesshoumaru is one for appearances and status. Makes me wonder if Izayoi will find out just how much her worth is to her 'friends'. Why is it that ones who actually make a difference be the ones most attacked and ridiculed? Then again it is a sad realistic look into Life of "They are not like Us". I applaud InuYasha for being strong and firm.
His parents they really don't understand do they? I do get a feeling it will come back on them and they get something that will open their eyes to the colours beyond their Black and White views.
That was so nasty those girls in the locker/changing room but that is pretty much the realism of any school. I'm enjoying how you wrote Ayame in the 'leader's' part. That comment about spitting on cupcakes and calling it icing was so nasty (evil smirk) and so apt for life sometimes.
That is one thing about Mothers they just know when something is wrong with their younglings even when the youngling doesn't know they are upset.
InuYasha really opened a can of worms when he made that little white lie. He'll be stuck in Hades with doing his 'paper'. *chuckles* Poor InuYasha what is he going to do next?
I was giggling at him trying to find his brooding spot and coming across all those couples. True though... very true. When one wants a nice solitary place to think and be alone the spots that look appealing usually are occupied by couples.
That line about having Kagome remember that he was alive made me giggle too.
The scene with Kagome at the track, her memories and pain all being called forth by the familiar spot she took my heart was breaking for her. Definitely can understand her feelings in that.
I am wondering about Miroku going after Kagome and wanting her to go to that party so badly. Gives me an uneasy feeling. Like the calm before a storm. Get the feeling that something pretty big and quite bad will happen. Something that will bring InuYasha and Kagome together eventually but be a misunderstanding.
Chewie? *giggles* Gotta be some story for that petname.
I am soooo eager to read the next chapter when it comes out!

Chewie was from the chapter before (when Miro was wearing a Chewbacca suit. :P). And worry not, I can definitely say that he had good intentions toward Kagome. His wanting her there is purely innocent. >.>
Yasha's parents are a sterotypical uppercrust duo. I wanted Izayoi to be the opposite of what she usually is (kind and understanding) and be more of an alpha female. Toga is more like Izayoi; he's a bit more understanding, but he's still on the same page as his wife.
Kagome and her mom have issues tow ork out for different reasons that will be revealed later. But I wanted to show that somewhere deep down, she still does love her mom.
InuYasha is just fun. He's sweet and cute, but he also has a temper (like Kagome) and it will show itself if/when he's pushed too far. But for now, his only goal is getting the hanyou girl to notice and like him. :)
How cute is that? lol.
I'm on the next chap (trying to be a better big sister for Danga -lol.) so I hope to have more up soon. Thanks, again, for the review luv. I appreciate it. <33

Well, I would have done this review sooner, but I was delayed by reasons of fire.
So, Inuyasha wakes up at 0dark:30 to exercise? That's some dedication to physical fitness right there. I find it very interesting that he tells his mother that he respects her, rather than loves her... And this club he's not going too... I assume it's a country club rather than a Paris Hilton club... This isn't going to turn into Caddyshack 2 is it?
And let me get this straight with Ayame; did she just join a mostly human school so she could captain the track team? Who does that? Oh wait, right. She's him and he'd do just that. And that is the strangest recruiting effort for a college baseball team I've ever seen. If they're just picking random people who are trying to enjoy their donuts to fill the team... It can't be good for the win/loss record. Where are they? Boston? *Cheap shot*
Is it weird that this story is making me do fanfic of a fanfic in my head? It is? Never mind this last paragraph then...

The recruiting is weird, but you're not far off the mark as to why they did it that way. (More cheap shots at the Blo Sux!) Yesh, the "club" is a country club that Toga belongs to and Yash doesn't want to be bothered. (No caddyshack! I no likey that movie. >.>)
And you know he's ridiculous, therefore Ayame is just as ridiculous. But she's also a girl, and we're slightly more vicious than boys.

Aaaaaawww! InuYasha is so cute! I love that there's subtle traces of Kagome in him: stubbornly optimistic, annoyingly determined. I like this new side of him. It really fits and is a nice, but not overdone role reversal. I'm thinking Toga isn't so bad either, at least in comparison to the rest of the fam. He seems to just take a backseat to Izayoi and "Sesshomaru the weak" (I loooved that line. It made me laugh so hard because I could totally see a skinnier-than-usual Sesshomaru struggling to lift a barbell in a puddle of his own sweat xD).
Midori seems okay, too. She's trying, and her and Kagome making progress was sweet..but I definetely wanna know what she told her that put so much tension in between them. I didn't think anything of it in the first chap, but since it was brought up again (...I have to, lol *puts on detective hat*) I'm curious. Wondering if it has anything to do with her father/who he is..maybe what he does/did?
And back to InuYasha at the end: ADORABLE. I'm filled with images of him in a baseball uniform (dark blue and orange like the me--*cough* I mean pinstriped like the Bronx Bombers ;D) and him creeping up on Miroku was hilarious. I love it! Can't wait to read if he'll get into that party and make progress with a certain stubborn hanyou girl. She fits into Yasha nicely, too and giving her track was interesting. Her not being able to play on the team reminded me a lot of kid!Yasha getting excluded from catch, or whatever that game was, in the anime. Reaally nice reversals. I'm itching to read where you take this next!

Thanks for such a great review. You have me grinning over a fic that hates me >.> and I'm not so sure the feeling ain't mutual! I'm trying to make a reversal without, as you've pointed out, making them too reversed. Like, Yasha has a lot of Kagome's personality, but he's still a GUY and I won't tolerate no pansy shite. xD Kagome is very Yasha-ish right down to the "keh", but she does have a softer side.
Izayoi in the anime is loving and wonderful, so I've made her not so wonderful. Toga, though we never got to know him, was very "alpha" male and I'm toning that down so he's a bit more "hen-pecked". So everyone is getting a reverse, even Kags' mom, who is traditionally the kindest person in the world that tolerates anything and everything. In this one, not so much.
You are extremely perceptive, too. The thing with the track was a take on Baby Yasha and how no one would play with him because he was hanyou. I'm attempting to get a few subtle comparisons in and it's working. Yay!
The secret, well, can't tell you that. ^_^ But it will explain a lot of her behavior and why she is the way she is. But that won't be for a couple of chaps yet. No peeking!

so i opened your site today and found this at the top of the story list and almost had a heart attack! you know i'm always groveling at your feet for more of this one :D
i'm SO excited to see what happens next with inuyasha + kagome. i wish they'd talked to each other more in this one! but it'll be interesting to see how that plays out in addition to inuyasha's relationship with jinenji... hmm.

I'm really REALLY sorry this took so long. I know I suck for that, but I completely and totally lost my way on this plotline. Everything I wanted to do just went haywire and I ended up revising a whole ton of it just to get a direction. >.<
The good news, though, is that I indeed have a direction and will work hard to start being better with updates. It's not a long fiction (at least, the plan is for it not to be), so if I buckle down a bit, there's no reason why I can't get something new up soon. :D

I didn't even know they were making a Tranformers II! LOL I really liked the first one so I'll be looking out for it. Wow! So much happened in this second chapter. My head is still spinning a little but in a good way. :) Inu and Kags are so sweet together. I can't wait until they share that first tender kiss. And - OMG - Miroku in the Chewbacca suit - *fights for breath* Sess is such an ass. I want to beat on him myself. I'm guessing that he's not going to come good by the end of this. This is just little bits of talking from the past comments we’ve given, : p
I’m going great, thank you. I found out the reason why I can’t stare at a computer screen for too long… I needed glasses! Hehe. I love my glasses, they make me look like a nerd : p. I’ve always wanted glasses when I was younger because they make people look so much smarter. Because I look so young, 8 years off my age, my glasses put two years on so I look like I’m sixteen now… lol. I’m not sure how it works in the states, but in Canada we have a limit here that you have to have I.D. if you are 21 years and under for lotto and I hate it so much. *Shakes fist* I hate having to bring my I.D. into the store to show my age… lol. That was a little random… but meh!
The site looks wonderful by the way, as always. I love it whenever you change the layout, it always looks excellent. You might not expect your stories to win anything but they are wonderful to viewers! I remember back two or so years ago, when you wrote Last Tango, I showed it to my best friend and she was in tears over it! She didn’t think that there was a story writer out there who could make such a powerful fanfic like you did. I told her that the writer was a really down to earth person and she kept telling me that you were writing books and such and she wanted your real name to go to the library. I just had to laugh. For some reason I was remembering that thought and I just had to tell you because you would have loved to hear it. ^-^
No problem, I believe that if someone does a good job, they need the support because most of the greatest people wouldn’t be great without people to bring them back up if they’re having some down time.
You know I love even the littlest of entries of Sango and Miroku. There have only been two fanfic writers out there who have been able to display them well, you being one of them, and the other only wrote a two chapter story then stopped writing for some… reason I don’t know… lol. And you know if you make me a fanfic I’d reread it over, and over, and over, hehe. No one has ever written me a story before. I’d feel so honoured.
You really need to do a chapter two for Rear Window; it would be so hot and all…great, lol. Kagome’s POV would be great. You’ve been on a little bit on InuYasha and Miroku recently, and it’s still great. InuYasha and Miroku are such an odd couple but you make it fit perfectly!!
Okay, so finally, my Chapter review.. lol. You probably know what I’m going to say but here it is… AHHHHH, Sango and Miroku again. Hehe. I love those two. I won’t say anymore about that, lol. It’s nice that Kagome is starting to come around in this story and I love how InuYasha didn’t stop trying even when all the chips were out. Sometimes in this story it sounds like InuYasha is still the little puppy dog which is very Kawaii~
At the end it sounds like your foreshadowing what will happen by having Akiko thinking 'Just be mindful of that tender heart. It would kill me to watch it break.' It sounds like something’s going to happen! I can’t wait.
As always, great chapter, keep up the great work!

Awww, you got glasses!! I have them, too. I've had them since i was very little. I never liked them, though, and most of the time I wear contact lenses. :P But I'm happy you like yours. And you still get carded?? How cute, but for lotto? That's so odd. We only get carded for cigarettes and beer and stuff like that. But hey, when you're 40, you'll appreciate that baby face!
I'm glad you like the layouts. ^^ I want to make another soon; I just need the art. I always try to make the house an enjoyable place to be: Visually pleasing, friendly atmosphere, music, and good times... But there are always a few that just abuse the privilege and it's too bad because they make it crappy for everyone. I won't go into detail, but let's just say that some people need to learn site etiquette.
When you see your friend again, tell her that I thank her VERY much. It's always nice to hear that someone enjoyed my work. I'm not a pro, or anything near, but I do try and it's great when something I did resonates. The Last Tango hurt a lot of people, actually. When I wrote it years ago, the reviews were @.@. That's when I knew I had the ability to break hearts, and sadly, I have abused my power! xD
And yus, I would love to write a Miroku/Sango for you. You're the only person I would do it for. ^_^ I just need something to base it on. As soon as I get some kind of idea, I will set my keys on fire. If anyone deserves some Mir/Sa, it's you. <3
As for Rear Window, I started part 2, but got sidetracked. >.< I hope to pick it up after the Xmas party is over. Oh, and the Inu/Mir stuff, while it's kinda new for us, they are heavily "shipped" in yaoi circles. Only recently have I been able to get into them in a serious way. It's a good pairing when they're written correctly.
Now, the story you reviewed. :D I knew you'd like the Miro/San stuff. I can't write them without thinking of you, lol. InuYasha is a real softie, I think, but he is "kagome", you know? Kags would keep trying to get through to him,so that's what I'm doing, though her character and his will be stretched some. Now, was that a prelude from Akiko? Only time will tell.... ^_^

The twist with this story is so Wow!!! I love the reversal of characters! That Kagome is so jaded because of what she is and InuYasha the compassionate, unpredijuice one! I am squirming here from the pleasure!! KUDOS!! GODDESS, KUDOS!!!!
The way Kagome understands the way life is from all her experiences and her mother living in a pretty dream.
Gotta admit I like the use of 'how many ass cheeks would spread for a Jaguar'
I was crying over Kagome's memory of when her dreams were shattered and her 'worth' was shown to her. So incredibly tragic and destructive for a child. The Angst Queen is certainly making her rounds and letting her fans know she's Back! *Glompage*
Again the touches of realism, the way that most likely many of your readers have been in Kagome's spot/shoes in their life, is awe-inspiring!!
Oh!! That second start to their interactions is Priceless! "I said to myself, Self..." I love it!! That is Brilliant!! Brilliant!! I love this different InuYasha!!
I did want to knock both their heads together when Kagome's defenses slammed up and InuYasha was thinking about giving up on her. I did cheer when he didn't and that she turned and gave him that blush! That there is hope for them yet!
The Hoooorrrrrrooorrrrr! Kagome can't listen to her iPod in peace!! She is denied it! I am wounded! Now that is some seriously super Angst!! (Nikkie cuddles her iPod) Think I may have nightmares from that! XD
I just love the way Sango and Miroku both get introduced to Kagome for the first time!! I'll never be able to see Chewbacca the same way again! I love that they accepted her from the start even if they don't realize she's a hanyou yet. I hope that will go well..... or not.. More Angst!! *rubs hands* I can't wait to see more!!
The insight into InuYasha's homelife was quite the eye opener. I'm so glad that InuYasha hasn't allowed the money to go to his head like it has for his family... and that special cake? what tis it be for? All that stifling snobbery must drive InuYasha around the bend!! I can see more why he perfers being with Jinenji and his mother. That was awful the way Sesshoumaru was able to insult everyone! Grrrrrrr! I can easily see something happening to them in the future to cause them to do an aboutface!! I can't wait to see them literally get their collective stuck-up noses rubbed in their own mess!
Oh! That part with Kagome and Souta! That was so sad!! The way he asked her to like him better! How heart wrenching! And oh my! The way Kiykou is such a witch in this story! *smirks* She's the older woman! *giggles* She is definitely cruel in this one! *rubs hands* She makes a great Villian!! And the reasoning behind why she treats Souta the way she does "He is everything she isn't - human" *sniffles*
The ending section!! WOW! I enjoyed it! Akiko seeing the budding of love in InuYasha! I found her final thoughts being so cryptic - it can easily be applied to both InuYasha and Kagome! So Akiko knows of Kagome does she? I love that she gave InuYasha that advice!!
I eagerly await the next chapter with much pleasure and joy!

Sesshomaru is a horror, but I love that. I love that he's a jerk like he is in canon -which was the point. he has the same aversions, only this time, they're toward demons. Ha! Sango and Miroku are very cool, however, they don't know that she's hanyou, so we need to wait for their reaction to that. And, of course, there are other issues. But overall, I'm hoping to make this short fiction a fun read. ^_^ Thanks for definitely making it fun to write. <33 You're THE BEST.
