Back To What’s Fun.
First, I want to say thanks to the people who mailed and added condolences to their reviews. I appreciate it. <3 Jessie wasn't someone I spoke to everyday, but she was my friend, and a supporter of my fiction who always made me smile and that’s what’s important. I’m glad the suffering has ended for her, and now that I’ve had a good cry and said my mental goodbyes, I’ve decided that it’s time to take her advice and enjoy my time on this earth by doing the things that make me happy. And for me, that’s chatting with my friends, perusing and commissioning fanart, and writing my fiction. I know I get block and there are several people I absolutely despise in this fandom, but I never let these assholes completely steal my joy and that sentiment is even stronger now. I’m gonna do my thing like I always have, only this time, it will be with 100% enjoyment. 😀
That said, I’m currently writing the next chapter of If I Want To. I wanted to finish Pas De Deux, but I can’t bring myself to touch that yet and I’m sure y’all know why. >.< Anyway, I want to thank you guys so much for all of the awesome reviews! I was totally blown away when I saw an entire 30 for the prologue. Wow. I’m so happy. *dances* It was a nice reminder that you guys are reading and actually do appreciate the work, which is just TOPS for me. That’s why I opted out of receiving awards for my fanfics from 2010 on. While I was always appreciative of those who found my work worthy of wins, being a part of that wasn’t worth it.
Whenever someone who wasn’t “worthy” actually won, it always became a universe-ending thing that resulted in long wanky discussions and rule changes. SMH. And for what? Banners and internet accolades that won’t matter to anyone in the end. People are either going to like your fic or they’re not, regardless of what its won. And that comes from a grrrl who has won about 80 awards. It’s not a big deal; don’t ever let anyone tell you that it is. If you write, write what pleases you, and not simply what you think will garner a “win”.
And for God’s sake, never change who you are to please others. That’s the worst kind of crime. F.T.W.
Okay, I’m off course! The point is, positive reviews will always mean much more to me than anything else, and getting so many for that first chapter was a real treat, so thanks. <3
I haven't been able to answer many. I started to when I got the news about Jessie and didn't go back. But I read them all, and will answer when I can. In the meantime, I should have a new chapter for you tomorrow night. Hopefully. And a few things about IIWT:
1. The chapters will never be longer than 4000 words.
(That goes for all my fics. I need to preserve my hands.)
2. There will be other guest characters from various manga.
(Not a slew. Maybe 1 or 2)
3. This is HS, but more “Japanese style” (unlike my other HS fics), and these kids are “savvy”.
(If you read the prologue, then you know what I mean by that, but more will be revealed as we go)
4. Don’t kill the messenger. xD
(These kids WILL anger you, but yell at them -not me!)
Aight, I’m out!
Oh, and I got another commission back and it’s sooo kawaii. It’s not going to be a header, so you’ll see the full art when I finish the next chapter of “Last Exit to Eden”. ^______^
Ordered a new one for If I Want To as well. You guys will definitely like it, I think. lol.
Okay, now I’m out! <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALEX!!!
