Nothing Much To Say
Ended up working on a story last night that came from out of the blue. Only a few people really follow it, but since those people are meaningful to me, and because I like this story, I’ll be updating it. Besides, I had promised to get a chapter up for someone anyway, so hopefully I can finish it soon. I also worked on Pas De Deux, but it’s been a few days. It’s still not done, but I’d say it’s just past the halfway mark. I don’t have a lot to do this weekend, so the plan is to get more writing done over the next few days and hopefully get myself “back into it”. That’s what sucks about the breaks I take for my hands -getting back into the rhythm of updating. But if I don’t take those breaks, well, the results would be bad.
I’m checking out the poll. Thus far, most votes go to everything, while a few want the shorts along with new stuff. Those who want to see current fiction only, I would guess, are hoping that whatever they follow will get more updates. I kinda want that, too, so I can promptly get rid of them.
See, I have people who just enjoy my stuff in general and pop in to check out all the wares. I have a few others who follow a story or two and only pop in for those. If I can get rid of the latter quickly, I’d like to do that so I can continue to share my works with those who enjoy all or most, rather than 1 or 2. Let’s hope I can get rid of them soon, ne? 😛
I’m probably not going to do the shorts for the IY fandom. There’s another fandom I’ve been thinking about writing for (first time I’ve ever seriously considered putting my talents elsewhere) and I think that prompt list would be a great place to start, especially since I have people who don’t want to see new works from me anyway. New name, new genre, new pairing, new everything. That could be what possibly gets me out of my writer’s funk… and out of the IY fandom, which probably isn’t a bad idea.
