Ugh. I Haz Finally Updated.
I updated A Treasure on the Tide last night for the first time since 2011 (OMG!) and it kinda helped me locate my trail once more. As you know -if you read that one- it’s based on a movie, but I’ve taken a shit ton of liberties with it. However, Kikyou isn’t really one of them. She exists in the movie and is pretty much true to her character in the movie.
Some of the circumstances differ in my “adaptation”, but yeah, she wasn’t included as a dramatic plot device. There’s a few more chapters left to that one (Say, about 5?). It will probably feel a tad rushed when I end it, but the ending to the movie is just as abrupt. I don’t want to give away anything, but you’ll know what I mean if you’ve ever watched Ladies in Lavender, which is a wonderful film that made me cry a dozen times… Sniffle!
(And yes, Abbs, it’s society’s fault because I usually feel that way about C/C as well! However, I’m equally disgusted by the reverse, too. 
)
Started working on another chapter (of a different fic) last night. It’s not coming easy, but I’m going to give it the day to see if it will cooperate. If I feel too stuck, I’ll switch to a different one. The point being that I want to keep trying to write (even though I’m not fully into it) or I may just stop again, which wouldn’t be good for any of us.
