Blocky -_____________-
Okay, so I’m feeling a bit blocky and I couldn’t really get much done yesterday. I worked at it until I was mentally out of it and only succeeded in about 1200 words. Yeah, not bad, but it’s not good when the goal was to finish Pas De Deux. So, I’m going to try again today. I also decided on a title for my next novella and I made a header to go with the accompanying art. This one is going to go out to 2 awesome people -no names yet- and I’ll be working on the first chapter soon. It’s a short one (I tend to lean toward those now and no more epics) and reminiscent of another huge story I’ve done, but there will be distinct differences between the two. Hopefully, they’ll get a kick out of it.
I’m also going to start chipping away at Nutella’s oneshot sometime today, especially if Pas De Deux is going to give me trouble. I think the ending to that story is going to feel slightly rushed to ya’ll, but it isn’t to me. I’ve moved a bit toward a more condensed writing style for short stories. For example, in the first chapter, you learn a lot about what happened to InuYasha and how he wound up in Kagome’s house in under 4000 words. That’s what I’m going for with the ending. And no epilogues. From now on, those are only going to be given to “big” stories, and even then, it’ll be on a TBD basis.
I also have to shout out those that left their “comfort zones” and read Can You Keep a Secret?. I loved seeing the reactions when they got to the cream-filled center -haha. Can’t say enough how happy I am with the way that one turned out, cause, yes, I like yaoi -especially Inucest. I used to be one of those closed minds who were just so squicked by it (/sarcasm). Then, I stopped being uptight and gave it a chance -I’m glad I did. There’s something delish about boy love and now I drown myself in yaoi manga whenever I have the time. Fun. Fun. Fun! 😀
But alas, my OTP is InuYasha/Kagome and always will be, no matter what I write to the contrary, and they’ll always get my best because that’s where my passion lies. <3 I need to update, though, so I can show off the new headers. Yesh, I could show them now, but isn't a bit more fun to see a new update with a new picture? I have 5 skins that haven't been seen yet with art I've had for ages, so it's time to step this up so you guys can see them, yes? ^____^ I've been fiddling around with reopening some closed stories. I don't know if I will, but there are a few that I may want to try to get back into and one that I think I'm going to permanently close (it's not currently on hiatus). Maybe I'll make a poll and see what y'all think. We'll see... And speaking of, I'm liking those poll numbers. The 3 in the lead are actually 3 of my own faves (No, I do not love everything I pen), so it’s cool to see that they’re winning. 😛
