Michael & the VMAs, Writing & Such.
I watched the show in its entirety, and I’m completely excited to see the “This Is It” movie. If possible, I’m going on opening night with my tissues in hand (because there’s no way I won’t cry).
The opening of the show with all of the dancers was amazing. They seriously did him justice (except for that poor guy that fucked up his Smooth Criminal lean), and Janet? Wow. She looked gorgeous and so, so serious. I hope she was pleased with her performance because she did well. I started crying around “Bad”, and oddly, when I watched it again, I cried at the same point, lol. It was a really nice tribute. For once, Mtv didn’t suck ass.
Madonna. I like a lot of her music, but I’m not a die-hard fan. Tonight, though, I may have become one. I loved her speech about Michael, particularly when she shamed the entire industry, saying that they all turned their backs on him when he needed them. I’m absolutely proud of her, and her speech was one of the best I’ve ever heard about him. He is Legend, and he deserved more respect than he was ever given.
On a side note, Kanye West is a hot mess, and Beyonce did well in distancing herself from that fool.
The rest of the show was very “take it or leave it”. Half of these people, I’ve never heard of them. But admittedly, I’m not a big radio listener. I’m just glad Mike was given some of his due.
Eh, writing. Well, I’m working on a few chapters and I posted a new drabble collection called “Silence” for my girl, Liz, who celebrated a birthday yesterday. She likes Inu/Sess yaoi, so this is some of that. Canon, too -haha. It will be about 5 entries, or so, of 800 words or less. So, not deeply involved, but manageable while I try to update other works.
Those that have stopped by in recent days to show your Grrrl some review love -thank you. It was great to see that you do enjoy the stories and the wrist pain isn’t in vain! When I shut down Absolution to the general public, you guys will definitely be getting keys to the ivory tower! 😛
I’m still hooked on facebook games -haven’t played all day and I’m dying to- so I’m not writing a lot. However, I hope to change that with a few new updates in a row. We’ll see how it goes. Some of them are older, too, since I’m doing what I can to finish what I can. Or, at least finish the ones you guys show interest in and what I actually care about completing.

I SO AGREE!!! I can’t wait to read more of Silence. Amazingness as always and sorry to hear about the CT, but I think that ppl take advantage of the fact that you have absolution open to anyone and don’t bother to review because others will do it for them.

I missed the awards, but honestly, I haven’t watched them in years. I think the last one I watched might have been 2002. >.> Wow. That’s pretty serious.
I heard about Kanye, though. He’s…not all there. That’s all I’ll say about him.

I hate the Mtv awards. I only watch them when I hear that someone I like will perform. After I watch, I shut off the tv, lol. But I heard Jan would be there and you know how I am about her. It was really nice, and Mtv will be running it all week, so if you can, catch the tribute. It’s awesome. I just need to see True Blood and then I’m set.
Glad you liked the new ficlet! It took 3 drafts to get the feel I wanted and that’s when I knew Castle Age was taking over my life. >.>

There are a million people out here that write IY fanfic, and maybe they find more enjoyment with them. It’s okay, I’ll live either way, and
cutting off the fics that don’t get a response is a good way to lighten my workload and save myself more wrist trouble. (Thanks for the

Again, I’m happy to hear that you dug Silence. I don’t do a lot of yaoi, but when I do, I always try to make it decent since it’s not my forte.

I didn’t see the whole VMA show, but I saw some of it. I too am not much of a radio listener, so I didn’t recognize a lot of the people.
I’ve heard a lot of people talk bad about Kanye. What happened?! I don’t like him much myself. He has one or 2 good songs, but otherwise, he himself is a moron.
LOL, Facebook apps can get addicting huh? They suck you in and before you know it, you’ve been playing around for hours XD
I haven’t written much lately either. Partially because of my busy schedule (thanks for the ‘like’ on the wedding photos btw), and partially because I just don’t know what to write.
P.S. Saw the trailer for New Moon. I begrudgingly admit that… it looks pretty decent.

I saw some of the VMAs (well what’s up on Youtube after MTV goes all copyright violation on everybody). Pretty much agree with you on the tribute. What was up with that one guy with the lean? Looked like he was bowing.

I’m assuming that all through practice he did it well (because he was in the front) and then messed up at the end. The guy behind him, tho? He had the best one. Really, really good.

No, not a twilight fan. never seen the movie or read the books. I don’t know -vampires without fangs who sparkle, or whatever, just doesn’t sound appealing. >.<
Absolution will still be open for a while, but eventually it will be a personal site with limited access. I don’t see myself writing for years and years, and by then, when I do wrote, it will be for the few that have really shown they enjoy the work. Plus, it will stop strangers that I’m unaware of from accessing my site. Believe it or not, I do have spying trolls that like to stalk me so they can talk shit, so with time, that will be one less place where they can show up being wank whores.
The True Blood finale was fun, but that’s my limit with vampire shows. They’re running the concept in the hole, which is why I wish I had written Fallen 2 years ago when I wrote the plot. The fandom is saturated with lame vamp stories that all want to suck off twilight’s teat, and while my plot is nothing like what I’ve heard on twilight, I don’t really want to be mistakenly lumped in with them, either. So, yeah. lol.

I still haven’t seen the Twilight film (I’ve actually avoided it, even though the e-books and dvd are in the house). I started Fallen and I’ve had that plot for over 2 years so I’m avoiding watching anything Vamp-related. I don’t want the influence or the “Hey, that’s kinda like twilight.” references. But on trailer alone, this movie looks better than the first.
I’ve seen that you’ve been jet-setting! Glad you’re making it home in one piece. I don’t like planes, so hats off to anyone that is traveling as much as you these days. Congrats to the happy couple, too!
Facebook apps are the devil’s tools, lol. I’m so addicted to my games it’s note ven funny. I went a full day without playing the other night and it was like withdrawal! But I’ll eventually get back on track and work on my fictions. I have a few that are near ready for updating, so I’ll do that and then hop back into my games.
On Kanye. Well, you know that little country chcik Taylor Swift? She beat Beyonce for an award and he interrupted her speech, took her mic, and said that Bee had the better video. Mhmm, he sure did. Then, they cut Taylor’s mic, so she never got to really accept her award. It was funny, but douchebaggy. So now, the entire planet is jumping on him for it, but honestly? So what. Not long ago she was running around trashing that Jonas kid (the one with the black hair) for breaking up with her, so she’s no saint. It’s time to just get over it, but you know how people like to run shit into the ground.

How have you been? Gotta tell ya I’m loving the new chappies you’ve written and can’t wait to read the upcoming others.
I wanted to see the awards, but wasn’t home. And with the Swift and Kanye thingy that happen well I went on-line to view it. I even watched the speech Madonna had said bout Michael. Very well said and noted. Had tears in my eyes at the end of her speech.
I also saw the New Moon(Twilight) trailer and I’m going to see it!
I have all the books, but haven’t started on them yet… oi!
I just want to finish the one I’m reading; “The Other Boleyn Girl”, before I read something else. The book’s very good. I’m into those 15th century times. I like that kind of stuff. I know they made a movie from it too, so I’m interested in watching that as well! 😀
Well, everything is good here on my part. Nothing much really. Been planning to take a trip in October, and next year coming to New York. Never been out of Canada before; visited Toronto (and doing that again with my planning to take a trip) and Montreal when I was a kid so I want something exiting and thrilling…lol and New York sounds like the place to do so! Can’t wait for that! 😀

I was enjoying the tribute to Michael and I enjoyed Janet’s performance. She fell off beat with the video but her power in doing her damn best for her her brother surpassed that many times over. I squeed.
