I feel so bad for Rin...most of the time when I think of marriages falling apart in my fandom...it would be Inu and Kags....either because of Kikyou, or Inu's stubborness....(but they always get back together! of course hehe). It's just hard to see it as Sess and Rin...I feel so bad for them!
Author's Response: That's why I stuck it on Sess and Rin. It was about time Yash and Kags got a break from me. I have plenty of time to torture them in other fictions. Though, I admit, having them so "lovey dovey" every minute is hard to write. I'm an angst girl at heart; all this fluff between them irks me, lol.

Wow. Rin is usually so strong and sure of herself in fics...I like this Rin...it makes her human...(that she is).
The story sounds about right actually...Kagura is a true Cinderella...she was always sent to clean up Naraku's messes...I never thought of it that way before
Author's Response: I honestly don't see adult Rin as strong or sure of herself. I write her that way a lot myself, but I will always see her as Sess' little puppet. I don't know; I've just never liked her much. These days, I think Sess is better with Kagura (I used to write him with Rin a lot, but I'm moving away from that. In fact, I'm moving away from writing Sess fiction altogether. I don't really enjoy it).
And Kagura as a "dark" Cinderella is perfect; fits her character completely.

I can't remember if i reviewed this one yet or not! I've gone and read through em, but I haven't had time to review, so i'm stopping back in! Sleeping beauty fits Sango and Miroku so well! I love the ending of it. It was so Miroku! So cute!
And the nicknames you came up with! OMG! They cracked me up so bad!

Aww! Rin's story was so sweet! Great piece, Chanda! I've never seen Legend before but I definetely think I will now. The piece was written beautifully and REALLY corresponds to the canon ending.
And LOL! "this would be the part when someone died"...such a Sesshomaru thing to think! Its funny too because Rin was thinking in the scene right after about how everyone around her had changed. The last few lines of this chapter brought a smile to my face, too. Inu/Kag fluff! (I'm sure Kai is gagging in the background as I write this ;P)
Glad you're feeling better girl...and kudos to braving the frozen tundra! I couldn't even leave my Grandma's place for school let alone to go home...@_@ Thank God its icing over now! But anyway.........great job to you and Chanda! A very fun read indeed (heh..that rhymed). Until the next one!

Author's Response: But it just seemed like SUCH a Sessie thing to say, lol. And I always try to add a tiny bit of I/k fluff (cause I'm so not a Sess/Rin person >.>). Thanks for all of the well wishes. I had a relapse cause the boiler in my building broke for a full day and the temp went down really low (Imagine getting sick like that in your own house?), but I'm trying to hang in there for the last 3 days. Title: Day Seven.
Wow. I really enjoyed this entry. Chanda did an EXCELLENT job with the tale. The imagery was beautiful, and the take on Legend was just well done. I'm a sucker for romance, and this one was perfect. And it was so fitting for Rin to tell it. This is SO her style.
As for Sesshoumaru...that's aother wow. Sessh actually having dinner with "the HELP"?! If anyone had doubted that Rin has had a massive positive impact on her mate, they won't anymore, LOL. Of course, he is not completely reformed; he still has too many homicidal thoughts for comfort. When Toshi first annoyed him, and he thought "this would be the part where someone died", it sort of proved the he wasn't named "Perfect Killer" for nothing (LMAO...I LOVED that part). So, no, I don't think we should get Sessh twisted. Yes, Rin has softened him...but he's still no puppy either, LOL. I can't wait to read the next one. And I'm glad you're feeling at least a little better, girl. Ain't the strong shyt the best? :D

I have to say, Sessie didn't give me as much trouble this time. I'm a total IY Grrrl, so I don't mess with him very much. But he's being a good youkai for me so I'm happy. I've always loved that "aristocratic assassin" label. He's too cool for the fucking room! xD The boiler in my building blew the other day and it gave me a relapse, so I'm barely hanging in there now. But with 3 days to go, I'm determined. Thanks for another fantastic review! :D

"Hi, InuYasha here." LOL! What a funny and fitting way for InuYasha to start his story! That was amazing xgrenede. I think I laughed the whole way through!
And haha...the family scene in the beginning was really cute. It reminded me of back when I was a kid. I could make my brothers do anything by calling them chickens..a pretty fun, secret weapon when you're six years old ;P But anyway, I think InuYasha showed them pretty well that he can tell a story. Hanyou: 2 (because he got the girl in the drabble, too) Mangy Wolf: 0. (ha, Kouga!) XD
Anyway, wonderfull collab! I can't wait to read the next one and what Rin has to say. And of course, Kouga will be back to redeem himself, too, won't he? Now its six more days! And oh my God, its snowing! Lol...until next read!

Author's Response: You're getting as bad as me with kouga! :P He's definitely getting his beating (for all the times that he messed with yasha over the years!). And I think "chicken" was everyone's code word. Throw that out there and it was on! xD I didn't get to write as much as I wanted (couldn't think for my cold-induced migraine), but Ashley's awesome story took up all the slack, ne?!

I figured it was about time IY told his story, and it's cute how Xgrenade wrote it, with IY actually "telling" the story and fitting in quite well with the way your narration has been flowing. I can't wait to hear what Rin has to say. And I still ADORE Touga. We're still waiting to find out what Kai is up to and of course Kouga's got to have a turn...poor Kouga! I almost feel like I want to write a story with him as the hero...alllllmost...hehe. I think this is the best party I've ever been to! ^^

I do love the angst you write so very well! And to learn more into Rin's side is another piece to the puzzle! I'm getting more and more curious and intrigued by the comments of Rin lying to herself and seeing through rose-coloured glasses... hmmmm.. I am wondering if Rin has been focusing completely on Sesshoumaru and his wants, desires, happiness and needs that she has no idea how to express her needs/wants/desire much less come to grips with them within herself....

I love the kids in this. They're written after my own family members (except Touga) and they used to act just that way. It makes me smile and feel like those times are back again. :D Besides, it was Miroku's turn!
You hit the mark with your assessment of Rin. She has been so busy concentrating on Sesshomaru, she neglected herself and her own needs. But then, turned around and blamed that on him. That's what she was coming to terms with in this chapter. Hopefully, she works it out. :D
Gakusei (the author) did a wonderful job with her piece. I've never actually seen Labyrinth, but I heard enough about it to know she killed it. But I expected nothing less -she is a hell of a writer. Her stuff is usually pretty dark, but you should check it out anyway. It's written so richly, you can totally withstand the darkness!

You're both amazing! First of all, I can't begin to comprehend how you've taken the random stories and woven them together within your own story, which is quite captivating in its own right. Now that I'm caught up, I have something very special to look forward to every day! Author's Response: Thank you, lovely lady. *huuuuuugs* I admit, the first time I did this (last Xmas) it was one of my usual "jump in headfirst" ideas and I was completely shocked that I pulled it off because the writing was totally random, much more so than this time around. I basically asked for a xmas drabble, any genre, any characters, and I just weaved them. This time, I attempted to be slightly more organized -but it didn't matter, lol. I'm still flying by that seat. xD But as long as I can finish off the last few chaps, I won't complain. It's a pleasure to work with so many talented people. They all write different things in different ways and it allows me to introduce them to people that may not be aware of how great they are. That's what makes all the work WIN.
As for Gakusei (the author) she's fabulous. One of the best "dark genre" authors on the web, and I had a feeling that not enough people were aware of her presence. She's fantastic amd deserves more attention for being so.
