And once again... She cried.
Ahhhhh... Your Xmas stories are the best, and so good to read when it is not Xmas. Because, you see... when I was a kid, there was this show on TV that was called "All the year around is Xmas". They were single stories, with Santa disguised in-between us... every show was about a story of love, of forgiveness, of hope, of redemption. And that my girl, is what real life is about or should be about. So, the good of reading this again not in Xmas is as a reminder that we can make things better and hope for the best all the year around. It is just up to us to make it happen. For that, for the reminder, I thank you and the others, because you allowed me to have a brighter day full of hope.
So, although I'm sorry that this tradition -yep, as Kagome's mom's stories- will not be here next year, I keep dreaming about having them again next Xmas. But, well... they -the old ones- will be here at Absolution... so, will read them again.
Thank you for the love and hope you all gave on this job. See? It is so good to come back to read them again and to leave -after all the fuss was over- the final review!!!

Reading this all over again... Can you believe it???? And, because I knew I didn't leave a review then. (My life was a mega-kilombo -some day will explain that slang- here it is now)
You know, I enjoy your wicked stuff as I enjoy your angst and every day stories. Really I enjoyed this chapter so much. And, at the time thought, just one chapter more giving an end to this story would be enough as a Christmas tale.

*blushes* Smiles at least a little.. how about smiling alot, laughing until I am wheezing, shed tears and take life even more specially and treasure every moment.. you got it!
How you do it? How you manage to pull me into the story and weave me as part of it... I'm forever grateful.
The start of the chapter.. just says it all.. Poignant. Damn Poignant!
I loved the way Rin was scared that she may make things worst but wanting to go to him. Frightened that he wants to end it.
I loved the way InuYasha understood more about Sesshoumaru and that it took a great deal for him to cut through his pride to go there. That he is the first to grant the two fractured mates their space.
I am all teary-eyed with this chapter... and I'm loving it! I was sobbing over InuYasha getting his own Mokomoko-sama.. finally... he has complete acceptance.. Over Sesshoumaru handing over to his brother and saying he wanted him to have it. Truly a Masterpiece!!
I cried over Touga being swept up into Sesshoumaru's arms and his words of regret of not being there.
To MythNLynx: What a story! I'm crying over the tale. It's so beautiful! So very bittersweet! The moral of the tale. The way Sesshoumaru's vassals abandoned him at the first call of need... the way Rin offered him the salt and he finally understood that the 'salt' made the meat so much better, improved it... enhanced it.
The way Sesshoumaru could only see the face value of the 'love' and what it meant in realtion to his thoughts and to miss the deeper meaning to the Salt love! Kudos!
I liked that it was InuYasha and his mate who rescued Rin and helped Sesshoumaru to understand what it really meant by Rin's words.
Yes, a very touching tale indeed! and Wonderfully written! Very rich!
Back to Da Grrrl: Hot darn it!! This is almost over and I'm crying even more! I'm so very much enjoying this story! And yes.. I was worse when I read Sesshoumaru's words "Without you, I have no worth".. and the way the males all silently understood the power behind those words.
You are truly a Goddess! A very special Goddess!
And now we know of the fight that ripped them apart...
The ending.. I can't even put into word just how beautiful it is... how perfect it is. How poignant and touching.
Kudos and a standing Ovation for this Christmas Drabble party. It's a serious keeper!! And another I'll be revisiting next Christmas like the other!

Oh.. Kagome didn't wait to rip into InuYasha for the F-Bomb! *snickers* OUCH!! A double ear twist! Poor, poor InuYasha! He at least made the grace to chastize his son for saying the word.
I wonder if the Ear Twist is reserved for farly bad moments...
I really feel for the poor guy! This party.. it just isn't his night after Ayame made the confession of Kouga's nickname..
Yea.. he may have been cussing like a sailor when he was younger.. doesn't mean that Kagome is going to allow her pups to...
I am near wheezing from InuYasha's little sliding down to Kagome and using his charm to gain her forgiveness! and to get her to rub the pain away! Using the Dreaded Batting of Eyes!!
I simply adore those petnames! Puddin' Puppy.. I can only dream about the ways he might have earned that name! And his "Hai...." I am in stitches over!
Poor InuYasha.. When Kai said that about his dislike of his ears it must have stirred up really bad memories of his past. And Kouga's comment about hiding his head didn't help out either. He still holds a dislike for hanyous.
Though that is really going to be true... Kai is going to change his mind when he finds his Kagome/Rin/Ayame. He'll find himself in the future taking the 'wuss' way.. just like his dad..
I loved the way that Touga was puzzled over why he wasn't born with the addicting ears. And for InuYasha to say how special each hanyou is so very much the effect of Kagome's unconditional love for him!
Heeee... I think InuYasha earn himself some more Bonus/Brownie points with his words!

I was tearing up when those very misguided monks preached about evil youkai, human who take uo with youkai and children.. only to have them murder Jinenji's mother.
The meetign with InuYasha - that was so freaking funny! The idea of InuYasha in the role of Peter Pan.. too priceless!! and so very perfect!!
Hee! I wouldn't mind seeing this as a oneshot tale in full! *subtle hopeful hint*
I loved the way InuYasha took to Jinenji so fast!
The imge of InuYasha dangling upside in a tree and scaring the bee-geesus out of people got me laughing as well!! The line 'and sunshine makes you drool' has me in stitches!! Think I'm going to need my puffer again from all this laughing!
I adored the way InuYasha nonchalantly shrugs of Jinenji's worries about them being too loud and Shiori can hear them!
*wheezes in laughter* Oh Gods!! InuYasha chasing after his mischievious shadow!! Is priceless!
I loved the way you made Sesshoumaru into the bad guy in the tale only to have the hanyou save the day through herbs! The way it is the gentle gaint Jinenji who outwitted him through brains... Kudos!
The ending to your tale! ANother priceless moment which I would dib to Jinenji and Shiori the Face-fault!

My interest has been piqued even more by Kai's worry over his present for his cousin!
I am cracking up over the 'why can't he drink his beer and be a pervert!' line!! Quick thinking on his part about wanting to tell his story! I was smirking hugely.. how much sugar in his diet they give him!
I did love the way it was Miroku who said found the Spirit of staying up later. Again it was Rin who lend out the help needed.
Oh! Kai had called Shippou! I can only wonder at the excuse Shippou told Maya to get away to help Kai in his request. It's so sad! I'm crushed like little Kai is that Sesshoumaru wasn't in his office when Shippou arrived tobring him back to be with Touga for Christmas.
And that I appreciate so very much!! Being woven into the story, made a part of the scenes, the characters... the feels and emotions... A mark of a magical writer!
Though I do wonder if anyone has noticed yet the lack of end of toilet noises....
I was chuckling at InuYasha's comment about you promised a story to your mother...And then smiled at the Hot-chocolate with marshmallows! Yep.. I wonder how much that thought 'Kai is just like him' has been repeated through actions.. *chuckles*
Oh lord! Souta is Glutton (pun intended) for punishment! He won't be happy until he quite literally bursts!!
I was chuckling at InuYasha and 'sticking it' to his boy! 'Cause that is what fathers' did... I can picture the opposite though if it was his daughter... he'd be completely wrapped around a finger...
I think Touga is looking forward to teasing Kai about his story!
I was smirking at Kai's little thought about letting others see how telling stories was not cool and then having his mother get all proud and pleased that her son is accepting the tradition now too and stuffing Kai's original thought ofshowing it's uncool right out the window with handbaskets!

I have never come across Sesshoumaru in the Advertising business before! And for some reason.. it makes me giggle.. thinking about him possible being the creator of the commercials for the Gravy-Train dog-food or Kibbles'n'Bits'n'Bits!!
What a sweet combination!!
I can just picture the stubborn near mulish stance Sesshoumaru would take about changes. Digging his heels in hard.
Why does the vision of Sesshoumaru kicking and screaming bring to mind a temper tantrum... again sweet Rin was the gentle hand that led him to a new change. I adore the way she is his guardian angel.
I feel so much for the once again... lonely youkai.
Have I mentioned it yet recently that I love the way you make the characters so rich and so very real!The way Sesshoumaru compared himself of the Feudal Era before Rin and himself today.
*shudders* That just pulled up memories of Jr and High school cafeterias!! Merriott food were so horrible then!!

I am smiling like a dork with that scene! InuYasha snuggling and kissing Kagome like he wanted to do! ANd Kei saying 'Get a room'. And InuYasha not being phased by the remarks so sweet! Then I melted when I read of Kouga playing with Ayame's hair such a sweet difference from the brash and oft times running away youth of his past!
Miroku's comment of 'why do I keep getting blamed' it's so bloomin hiliarious!! He'll never learn!

The way Ayame is the despairing Lady and Kouga as the Tramp.. The Pigeon and Trick lines had me giggling as well! Just picturing him saying these things!

I've never understood that cheese either.... but it does have a good taste...
That comment about superior sense of smell and of being tricked.. that is another clue!
That way he said not to bottle it up. Very true. And I really liked the way that Sesshoumaru accepted/allowed for the elder male to use his first name.
The angst! I love it! The way Sesshoumaru said she does not want me! I can feel his pain his frustration.
I admit it.. I was crying at the ending! Sesshoumaru being asked if he had somethign to protect! and his shock at knowing it was his father (right). The counting of the bells only made the tragedy of the scene more potent. I love it! So bittersweet!
And that last part.. Sesshoumaru crying.. crying from the fall out of the marriage, from his isolation from family, from his 'failures, from seeing and again losing his father, from having that little piece left to remind him, from learning his father's words so late....
So very beautiful. Bittersweet. Poignant. Touching...
You've blown my socks right off!! *bows*

Oh Kiki! That was beautiful. Surprisingly in character too. I think that is exactly how Sesshoumaru would react under the circumstances. He wouldn't fall to his knees and make a scebe...he woul,d give a neat little speech, yet still with the emotion that only the Lord of the West can give. I really liked the story too. I love this work, so much fluff and love involved it's making me burst inside (that's a good thing). I always feel as though you put so much pride and love into the fics that you put out and this fic is no exception (and major kudos to all the authors who did their stuff as well!). You know well enough that I'm not a Rin/Sess fan at all, but in this fic it really just felt...right for the two of them. You always have a knack for writing in such a way that the readers see each side to the characters, even if they are supposedly 'bad'. 'blush' Honestly, you inspire me ^_^. I know I wouldn't be able to handle all the jizz that you put up with and I'm always rooting for you. I only hope you know how much support and lovie dovie you have on your side ;p
On another note, Happy Holidays to you too lovlie! I hope all your celebrations were exciting and fantastical. Thanks so much for dropping in and reading the work. It means everything, always. You're one of the small few that really push me to continue and that's why none of the fiction will go unfinished. As long as my peeps are out here, it's still worth it to post publicly, despite the "jizz". (Ha!! Love that word!)
I'm with you on Sess/Rin, too. I'm not really a fan. They just end up in my stories because I need a supporting cast, not so much because I'm really into the characters themselves. In fact, I like Sess better with Kagura (Aren't they better suited?). I'm even leaning toward that pairing more in side stories. But since I mated them in the original Xmas story, I couldn't break it up now.
I'm glad you liked the portrayal, though. I worried about that a lot -if I made their situation believable. I was trying to show that not every break up between them is based on some crazy reason, but something simple and normal. I think it worked, but who's to say for sure? xD
So, I shall close with a huge hug *HUUUUUUUUUUUUUG* and an even bigger thank you for sticking with me so long and always popping in to spread some cheer. It means the world. Party hard on New Year's Eve! <33
