Yeps, vamps, and a "sorta" other world. It doesn't stay in the past (you know me and my need to be current), but it will still be a fictional city. I'm hoping to create a little tribute to all of the vampire movies I've ever loved. :P Wish me luck!

And yes, Kags is the "lub" interest -you know I don't write Inu/Kik fiction. >.< I don't hate her nearly as much as I used to, but I will never permanently pair her with InuYasha. I just can't do it -except in my one sess/kags fic and that's because they're both dead. >.>

eeeep another IG story! i was so excited to see updates when i opened your page today ^_^
so are they vampires?! i'm not an IY/kik fan in any sense, but your description of how he watched from afar was very sweet and touching :) except when she introduced herself as kikyou i was like oh poop. lol :p i like to say that i'm not a mushy romantic but your stories really do it for me!
this reminds me very much of twilight IY-style, minus the excessive fawning over ed cullen/IY. i guess naraku/onigumo exists to stir up trouble everywhere he goes, huh? i thought it was cool how the purple beads are like yash's rosary necklace :p
i am super excited for updates (on this or anything else, really :p). is this really your last serial?!? :(

Yesh, InuYasha is a vampire and NO this is not an Inu/Kik fic. >.< I don't write those ; I promised y'all that I never would. It's just <.< no. But with their romance, I simply wanted to show that at heart, InuYasha isn't evil. He is what he is, and he does what he does, but he doesn't "relish" it like his brethren. As for Twilight, I've never read it or even watched the movie (though I have a download of it), and I really don't plan on doing it now because I don't want the influence. I've seen too many good/fun vamp movies that I want to tribute. So, yah, no sparkly vamps here. xD And YUS! Naraku is a bastard in this, but take my other story, Ever After. He's awesome in that. I like playing with characterization; it's what AU is all about!
This will probably be my last serial, at least in the sense of chapter count. I want to stick to stories that have 10 chaps or less. It's less commitment and less chance of abandonment (not that I'm actively trying to kill any of my stories). If/when I do get all my crap together and end the stories that I know are close, and then I'm able to significantly shave down my other stories, AND I come up with a decent plot, MAYBE I'll entertain it. But as of now, yeah, last of the tribe. xD

Thanks for the review -and I know what you mean. The prologue is written in a bit of a "flowery" way, but that's because it's taking place in the 17th century. Eventually, it does tone down to this century's speech, lol. And isn't the stock tie kinda cool? I imagined him in that and totally squee. xD (we're such fangirls, ne?) Thanks for the happy wishes, and I have not forgotten GFE or SMC. I wrote half a chap of SMC 2 weeks ago, but then work got busy and I had to put it down. GFE is also on my list. I've been reading old chaps to get in the mindset, so there will be something on that front, too. Believe me, if it wasn't for my recent bout of block I would have had something up by now. It's just been a crappy 3 months. >.<

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I should have posted this 2 years ago, but time got away from me and I figured now was as good a time as any. It's a genre I've always loved, though I almost never read it in fanfic (I never have the time). I look at this as a culmination of all my favorite vamp movies with a little IY canon-ish stuff mixed in. (You'll see what I mean as it progresses). Thanks for the review! ^_^

eh eh.. i seriously thought the girl was Kagome! It put a damper on mi lol, but now am more eager to see how they'll meet up, since this is kags/inu fic right? Man... onigumo is so.. blah! I love how u have history in this story... i find i'm addicted to history, yet i nvr loved the subject much lol. But it's really really wonderful and it sucks that it's ova so soon!! lol

Yeah, the word Twilight was in there, but I've never read the books or seen the movie, so nooooo not that twilight, but yes, vampires. I should have posted this when I first wrote the plot, but everything always gets in the way. Sigh.
This isn't a period piece, by the way. It takes place in the modern era, but the prologue is set in the past. The chappies will be fairly short. I don't want to commit to big chaps during the summer when I work so much. Plus, it will be easier on my hands.
Thanks for the happy wishes, babe. <33 I must acknowledge that yeah, we've come a long way, all of us, together. This site turned 3 years old today, and my writing, 4, and it's like... wow. So much has happened, and yet, it doesn't feel quite that long. I didn't even expect to be doing this 4 whole years. >.< But, here we are, ne? lol. Not to sound morbid, but I don't know how much longer my heart will be in penning stories, so I guess I should try to finish up what I started, at least.

I have thought about it, have even done some writing of my own characters, but I'll never post that stuff online. I have a friend that constantly pushes me to write "for real", but I don't know if this is a career. I'd rather write for fun. Plus, I suck at deadlines. 0.~ But thanks for the vote of confidence!

Really interesting story so far!!! Me likey so very much. Usually I'm fed up w/ vampire stories b/c I feel like they are way overdone, but I really like the linguistics and setting of this one. And knowing you, there will be some definite spice to this fic :p
P.S. - You fooled me w/ that Kikyou stunt! I thought it was going to be Kagome >.< lol in any case, beautifully written and I can't wait until the next update hunny.

I totally understand. I've only read one vamp fic and that was 3.5 years ago, so I've probably missed a lot. Maybe it's just me, but I really don't run across them very much. Then again, I usually don't have time to read anything. *sigh*
As for this story, I'm sorry to disappoint *cringes* but this is set in modern day. The next chapter is a big time jump, so I hope you don't end up hating it. *cringes more* The story plot is fairly simple with a couple of twists and turns, and I can assure you it won't be too over the top. I'm a huge lover of vampire movies, so there will be lots of influences from those, but I don't want to cheese it up with guys that sparkle, or whatever, lol.
And this is soooo not a Inu/Kik fic, I swear. Never wrote one and I never will. That's one promise I will always keep!
