So i have to admit that after I read this chapter for the first time I couldn't stop thinking about it. You completely threw me for a loop with your suprise! I started rereading previous chapters to get a better feeling of Inuyasha's character. He appears so heartless and dark and then there are moments like the phone call where you see his heart. I can't decide if I like him or not, but I have to say that after rereading this chapter several times I am still completely hooked!!!!! Great writing!

I always wanted a master , but after reading this I am having second thoughts lol I still love this, it is so out of my reading preference but I am glad I read it!!! it took me a day to read it, and it was so worth it!!!

Some of the scenes in the last chapter did make me uncomfortable- your writing is very intense and I felt Kangome's fear- but the hints in this chapter as to a more complicated back story remind me why it's worth pushing through. Thank you.

Hmmmm.......okay I have my doubts that he was making a call to his daughter and girlfriend/wife, that just seems way too easy. I'd have to read more to find out, but I can imagine that being Kagome assumption if she ever got wind of it. Inuyasha's character is rather difficult to figure out, but it makes it all the more fun to read. Poor Kagome though, I keep wandering how this is going to turn out for her. Hope to see more soon. ;)

grrrl. whaaaaaat?! when I first read the phone call bit I thought I'd missed something (slash forgotten to read a whole chapter) but upon looking at some of the other reviews, it looks like IY really is up to something shady... you know, more shady than what we've already read o.~

Oh God, so many things are going through my head (It has the tendency to imagine future scenarios where the worst happens). But I KNOW you shall prevail. You always do. I have a lot of hope for them even though my brain is pretty narrow and I can't seem to come up with any possibilities that may result in a happy ending. But I've read all your other fics and I know you'll be able to work your magic. Can't wait to see what happens next. Btw, I'm still fucking pissed at Inu. Grrr.

But I do remind you >.< that The Neighbor is a dark story. It was dark from the first chapter and I make no guarantees on anything. You'll just have to... hope for the best? *gives you some cake*
My hands are a bit twitchy, but that's not just writing. In my profession, and of course around the house, I use my hands a lot. Writing just piles on the pain, but it's not bad enough to stop yet, so let's hope I can get the next update up by Friday. Right now, getting the content to cooperate is the bigger problem. My God ...... what in the world is he up to!? You made sure to let us know that there was something he was keeping hidden, but I was not expecting that! Whoa...... ^_^ !!! I loved the twist, very well played!
And I really liked reading about Kagome's thoughts on everything that has happened to her so far -- you can't help but feel for her because she knows she's gotten herself into a hell of a mess; this is so gonna hurt!
And yea......umm.........really liked the hot spot too! XD Whew!

It kind of saddens me that Inu could possibly have a wife and kid, but then again stories are all for their twists :) Im happy that you got the break that you needed, Because i'll definitely be waiting for another brilliant chapter. I'm happy that you enjoyed the update. I wanted to post it days ago, but it was being bullheaded and giving me trouble and I refuse to post a chapter that I hate >.< It always has, hence why the last few hiatuses have been so long (Even when I was updating it every other day, it was hard to do and my hands paid a nasty price). I get the dreaded "B word" a lot, and when I don't have it and start writing the way I want, my carpal tunnel kicks in and destroys me. Vicious cycle, especially when I need my hands for my job, and I have a new hereditary illness now that's pretty much taken over half my life. Sigh.
But your understanding and willingness to wait is appreciated. My plan, if all goes well, is to update twice a week (more if I'm able). I just have to get used to certain fictions again because it's been so long. But again, never fear. I will finish as many stories as I possibly can and this is definitely one of them. :D

This story is....supercalifragilisticexpealidocious...O.O I know I butchered that word, but what the hell am I supposed to say? Inuyasha might have a kid...and Kagome just gets deeper and deeper in...I feel bad for her, but she's doing it to herself. This story makes my emotions run the gamut...I like it, but it's damn hard to choose what character I like best. Thanks for the update! =)

Its been a tragically long wait...too long if you ask me. Dont get me wrong, I love all your works and I am thankful for every one, but I hate to say this: I was very let down on the teriribly long wait for this particular story. Because I beliieve its a really good story. And maybe its not only me who thinks this and takes it to heart. In any case, I do hope that you consider this fiction to be one of those you'll choose to finish someday.

I can't -and won't- apologize for the wait. I have a life outside of fanfic. I have illnesses, particularly one that affects my ability to write. I have other problems that I never publicly discuss. I write when I can, when I want to, when I'm inspired to. I don't owe anyone anything. I try my best to continue my stories because I do realize that people are reading them and I want to give them conclusions on the fictions they've spent their time on. But make no mistake, I don't have to. I never have to update anything again and that would be my prerogative. I'm sure many have given up on reading my stories because my updates can take a long time. So be it. I'm not crying over their loss. Those who appreciate the updates will continue to read them.
Those who take the time to understand my situation consistently tell me:
"Don't hurt your hands further."
"Don't rush."
"Write when you're feeling it."
Why? Because they'd rather see a quality update that I'm happy with rather than anything I can slap together for the sake of quickness. Why? Because they understand that block, life, and illness happens. They don't insult me with backhanded compliments. "I'm thankful for the update, BUT..."
With all that said, if the wait for an update truly bugs you, stop reading this story, or all of my stories, if you prefer. It's that simple. Or decide against reading them until they're complete, provided you're on the member list when my site goes private. I prefer either one of those choices to you coming into my house to scold me because you're dissatisfied. There are a LOT of authors who write fanfic and, I'm sure they rush everything out as fast as they can. Go read them and you'll have less to "take to heart". Just don't come in here giving me crap when you have other options.

I don't know how many chapters there will be. I never plan that far ahead. I like to lay out what will happen in a story, then write each chapter on a bit of a whim. But if I had to guess, I'd say less than 10 and probably more like 7. I never intended for this to be very long, so I don't want to drag it out unnecessarily.

What reaction are you trying to pull from me?! First, I think he's deliciously evil in that sexy kind of way, then he's a complete asshole who deserves to get fucked in the behind, then he's back to being so-sexy-I-wanna-sneak-into-his-garden-and-make-use-of-his-tools. It's a crime!

InuYasha has the ability to drive everyone -including me- bananas. He's good, but he's badder than sin itself. You never know what he's going to do next, which kinda makes him fun. So happy you liked the update. It's been ages for this story. AGES. But I want to get back into updating it regularly since it's not far from completion.
And thanks! When I do headers for story art, I always try to get the scene or theme right. So you guessed it on the head -He is the spider, she's the butterfly, and that web is his world that she's ensnared in. The other Neighbor art symbolizes his "garden", though it's modest. That thing in his basement is just a damn dungeon! >.> I wanna go pick flowas in it! :P
