Yep. I am officially scared of Yash in this fic. Lol I get that he's possessive and controlling (understatement) but I'm assuming he has his reasons. I just worry that by proving his "points" , he might go too far. Ahhh, what is that guy going to do? Poor Kagome. That's all I can think right now. I think she's about to get "it". Just not sure what "it" is. *_* but beyond all my anxieties in this story, I LOVE it! I am the type to need life all laid out before me and simple with a plan for everything. This fic does the exact opposite and strangely.... I'm drawn to it. Can't wait to see what unexpected things our boy has waiting for Kags. *scared* = D

Oh, I'm dying of the wait! Do you think it's really selfish of to me to want you to have the next chapter up? I have no idea how you do it --- how you get your inspiration but I find it very unique to have such a talent to be able to write such vivid, and real literature.
I am head over heels in LOVE with this fiction, and I'm excited to see how it will unfold, and Inuyasha's reasons behind what he does.

Well, yeah, in that case I can see why people are so drawn to it.
It sort of angers me more than anything else. And I'm not sure if it's his manipulation or the fact that she fell for it so quickly, but that's the whole women empowerment, free bird, don't-tie-me-down that's speaking up in that case. I think I was looking for more of a fight, personally. If you take out that, I'd likely be just as attached.
In light of the fact that we get to see a bit more vulnerability in the next update, I'm -sigh- looking forward to the next update...Haha.
"He's a hard guy, but not an evil one." - I'm glad you pointed that out. I was starting to think otherwise. ^.^
By the way have you ever heard the song "Knife Party"/"Knife Prty" by Deftones? I think of this story now when I hear it. It has an element that really reminds me of this. Especially at the screams/shrieks towards the middle to end.

I understand how her behavior can anger some folks -I know one person who had to quit the story because InuYasha pissed her off so much, and there were a few who kinda wanted to tell me about how I or K would really behave (thanks for just giving an opinion on why he angers you instead of trying to tell me how to write him. That is one thing I really don't appreciate.)- but that's why I gave warnings. They should be taken to heart, lol. InuYasha IS hard, but not evil, and I said 'try to remember that' because he's going to do more things that you will hate, that's a guarantee, and some of them will be in the next chapter -along with a hint of his softer side.
Kagome, for her part, is a somewhat neglected woman in a lonely, new neighborhood, with a beautiful man actively pursuing her -in his own bizarre ways. She's swept up in something that intrigues her and testing her own limits, albeit through what can only be described as tough love personified. LOL. But a side of her is also hoping that she can change him. Can she? I guess we'll have to wait and see, but like I told others readers in reviews, if you're looking for that sweet, shy, gruff hanyou you know from canon, my InuYasha is just not that guy. :P

I don't see how people are so "addicted" to this! I didn't believe you when you said there'd be things readers won't like. In my mind I went "Pssh" I can work with anything, but I do get what you mean. This is terrible! The situation, not your writing. It bothers me so much to see a woman controlled and manipulated like this. And the thing is, it feels to real, like it's not being manifested from one person's single mind. It doesn't feel fake at all. I wish I could jump in there and save Kagome from him! I'm excited to see what happens when Kouga and Sango find out, but I probably won't read this again until the near end (if it gets to that point). I can pick it up again if I'm assured that Kagome gets out of there and/or Inuyasha gets put in his place and/or we find his vulnerabilities to. I like how you gave a bit of a hint at the Angel's place.
Anyhow, good work, but it really is disturbing.

I think my readers are addicted to the suspense -and the fact that there's something really sexy about a dominant man. They don't know when he'll be cruel, cool, or kind. He's got a nasty temper, but then he can turn around and be absolutely sweet to her. he has his reasons for everything he does, but for all the folks that like this one, it's just fun watching it unfold.
Thanks for the compliment, though. Hearing that it feels real is a huge goal for every writer. Good, bad, or ugly, you want to transport people and give that realism, even if they end up wanting to choke your characters. The point is that they walked away feeling something, instead of feeling completely passive about it.
And Yash will have more vulnerable moments -one is coming in the next chapter. He's a hard guy, but not an evil one. It's important to remember that, regardless of what you may see! lol.

I decided to reread this story again for like the millionth time! LOL! You write the most addicting stories. I've went through your entire story lists and probably read through all of them. I decided to give the song that was in this chapter a listen, and I ended up liking it. Though, it isn't what I usually listen to, it was still pretty damn catchy. Haha. I'm still excited for the next chapter, and waiting faithfully for another update. (:

I was wondering.. Like in the first chapter, Inuyasha seems to know Kagome's name before she even introduced herself and he knows a lot about her photographer and Kouga being her agent and all that. Is he her obsessed stalker or something? I'm dying to know!
In this faze, does he love her or is it just like sadomasochism/domination because I think in this one chapter Kagome mentions he wouldn't let her kiss him. Or does he simply have the "you have to earn it" idea with that.
Aw, man. :( Are you sure you're not thinking of making this into a long chapter fic? It's amazing! And, I mean AH-MAZING. I've been thinking about this fic, and the story and plot for the past week since I've read it. How many chapters do you plan on it being? And when can we look forward to the next update?
I was also going to comment that I think you're one of the very few authors that can pull off a Darkfic perfectly! I mean I've read many, and they can't seem to balance it without me raising a couple of eyebrows, or without the story getting too.. too much, if that's the word. :) But you do it perfectly. And, you also add suspense (especially with the fact that we're all trying to figure out Inuyasha's character, and who he is). It's realistic, so believable. AMAZING <3.

I can't answer all of your questions because there's still several chapters to go before the end, but I'll do what I can. ^^
InuYasha does know quite a bit about Kagome already, he kinda proves that with how he can pretty much answer a question before it's asked. lol. But no, he's not a stalker.
InuYasha has made no indication that he loves, or even likes her., really. He only shows the fact that he demands her obedience -or else. And no, he won't kiss her, but maybe you'll find out why soon. xD
Naw, I'm not thinking of a long fic. From now on, all my stories will be under 20 chaps, but in most cases, I'm going for 15 or less. The longer the story, the longer it will take to complete since I get block so often, and so viciously. So, the plan is that this one will be below 20 and a new update will post as soon as the newest layout for The Neighbor is finished.
And thanks so much for the compliments. I don't usually do darkfic, I do angst. But this idea was gnawing at me and I wanted to get "ugly" with it. Funny thing is, I consider what's been done thus far pretty mild compared to some of the stuff I can, and probably will do. So careful what you wish for, it may be worse than what you wanted. :D

Because I'm completely addicted to this fic, I had to write a write a longer review. First of all, it's ingenious! It's something new. I'm really hoping this is going to be a longer chapter story fiction because there's so many directions you can take with this! And like I've said before, I can really imagine this being some psycho-thriller movie.
I wonder what would happen when Kouga comes back? Or if Kagome met someone who made her feel loved and cherished in contrast to Inuyasha? Or Inuyasha's attitude towards her family? Or if they had kids way later, what kind of a father would he be like? So many questions!
I really hope you update soon! I'm just reading it over again, and again. >__>" Honestly, you're original and an amazing writer. You capture emotions, and you create a scene that's really vivid, and real that the reader ends up being caught up in the story. I mean, I kind of feel like Kagome now. This story, unfortunately, isn't that long. I think I may have said that somewhere in my author notes. It's not a kids & family fic, either. I don't know if you've read my other works, but children/marriage/and things of that nature are really rare for me because I honestly don't find that stuff exciting or interesting (sowwy!). I'm more of a "chase" writer. I like to write about how they get together and the obstacles they face on the way there. The only story I have where they're married from the start is "Ever After" (a pretty emotional drama). Otherwise, that's a genre that I can't get really into.
As for this story, it's still got several chapters to go, but again, it won't be too long and children aren't really involved. Kagome really doesn't have any family, either. It was just her father who is already dead. But I'm glad you're having fun with it. I'm honestly surprised that so many people like The Neighbor. It's not a story typical I/K fic where InuYasha is some "idiot" and Kagome is going to run away cause she saw him with Kikyou. He's got some real bastard qualities and I love that. I do warn, though, there will be a couple of rough scenes. He really isn't so merciful...

He's a little scary I have to admit, if I was Kagome I probably would have stayed away from him, far away from him after the spanking incident. I like how you made Yasha a heartless bastard(I still love him though) but everytime i read this i get an image of sesshomaru instead, then i have to be like 'Oh wait that's inuyasha not sesshomaru' :) Anyway this is a great story, and i just wanted to know when you were gonna write more???

I ended up getting a little block on this, but I'm actually piecing together the next chapter now. I don't think he acts like Sesshomaru, but he doesn't act like Canon InuYasha, either. I think that version of him is kind of childish and annoying, which is why I write Alternate Universe. If he doesn't grow up the way he did in RT's universe, he won't necessarily behave the same way. I like giving him a different personality based on how he was raised so he can be more intelligent and mature (and calculating!), the way he is here. I know people consider that OC, but I just can't see the point of making him the same way in every story just to be "canon" or "in character".

O.M.F.G. Okay, confession time: the very first chapter I read was chapter 9 on Deviant Art. For some reason, my damn browser wouldn't let me read the previous chapters. Now that I have found your website (and I enjoy it a whoooooole hell of a lot) and officially caught up on all these chapters, I fully understand what you were saying back on DA: "You might wanna off him real quick if he were real" and now I understand why you said it. MY GOD. Inuyasha is a fucking BEAST. I don't even know where to begin.
He's so dark and domineering and just...oh my God. No words. No, I'll try. He's just fucking dark and I absolutely LOVE it. SO much. Moreover, your writing style is vivid and just plain perfection. Did I mention how much I would love submitting to Inuyasha? No, well, I'm gonna. I'd seriously submit to him in a nano second. Like you wouldn't believe. Of course, me being the prideful little bitch I am, I'd have a few words for him, but seriously, how could ANY woman resist him when it was all said and done? (Sidenote: I love your version of Sango! end sidenote) Back to Inuyasha. I cannot believe him. I seriously cannot believe him. And TELL me Victoria's Secret Cove is a real place, because I am so willing to fly out to New York and find it. This chapter left me hot, bothered and ready for a cigarette and I don't even smoke! Now I KNOW why you're so damn good at what you do. Jesus, kudos girl. SO many kudos. I believe...I truly believe...you are officially my favorite author. I am not even kidding. Not even CLOSE to kidding. I cannot get over this story and just the mental and psychological (as well as physical) effects it is having on me. Do you know Zane? I am such a huge fan of her works. I really want to hate Inuyasha, but he's bad so good >__> If this was anything but a fic, i'd surely be pissed... but the coating of INUYASHA is making me think irrationally. There are soooo many things she can do to get out of her situation. Call Kouga and move?! Helloooo? Ok that's only one but that's what i'd do.
And i wonder wat would make her feel the lowest; the fact that she wanted him to make her cum n he refused or the fact that she wanted him to, knowing that she got a man?
This fic is dark, n i wanna kno what is Inu's real motive. He's almost like a deranged militery dude. I mean serious, spanking her?! What the fuck is up with that!

Ugh am so frustrated! This story is awesome and the way Inu moves, all calculated and dominant... it's jus so baaad, so very very bad yet so damn hot! I'm so hooked, it's not even funny.

First off, i love Sango in this - she made me crack up so easily! Also i love the part wheire kags called Kkyou a heifer...its funny hearing it when my friends and i arent saying it xD
Now - i looove how u always describe Inuyasha - i was drooling like crazy! You also made Kouga loveable, but somehow i slightly wish that his business trips are caused by some mystery girl since kags n inu would end up togeth right? ... So it would be heart breaking to see he got thrown to the side.
Then we have Inu's personality - i do not know how one cannot be drawn to that hunk! He also gives off the air of something evil...devious really. I like this start - the perfect little life and everything but trouble is loaming around. Gaaah! Inu is so evil but i cant hate him dammit!!
And how did he know her name?!?
