Uh oh. I'm glad that Kikyo decided to do the right thing, but she has horrible timing.
For once, I'm on Kikyo's side. It's not her fault that InuYasha had a crush on her. She did her best to avoid contact with him and she didn't encourage him or give him anything to hope for. I'm glad she has happiness with Sess. She shouldn't throw her happiness away because someone she has zero interest in likes her. She was putting herself first. It would've been worse if she put other peoples feelings ahead of her own.
This reminds me a little of the 80s movie Say Anything, where the guy plays a song for a girl to get her attention after their breakup. And you even chose an 80s song for IY to sing!
This was a short & sweet story. It was so fun to read about these two at a different, more inexperienced age of puppy love. And I love that you threw in a little bit of the 80s in there!
DaGrrrl says: I love 80's music! I had to do it, plus, "Summer of 69" inspired the story, so I couldn't leave it out. Glad you had fun with this one. I wrote it for my Chibi, who was pretty young at the time (No way would I write sex for her, lol), and she really loved it. I miss writing simple things like this, but I tend to delve into complicated stuff that takes me forever to write, as opposed to this, which took about 2 or 3 days. Sigh.

I thought that the last chapter held the limit for adorable scenes, but you outdid yourself with this chapter. It was great!

In true teenage fashion, Kagome is more mature than InuYasha and realizes the situation first. I like that IY is acting his age, even though he can't see the obvious.
I'm glad that there's no real resentment between the two, just brotherly taunting. Though it's a strange way of saying goodnight.
Remodeling huh? Is that a code word for makeover? I'll never get too old to enjoy those haha.
I was right! I cracked the code! I'm glad to see that the end result was a flabbergasted InuYasha lol.
This chapter makes me miss having a pool. They were so much fun! I loved reading about their water games. =)

"Greeting the world with a smile" I love that line! So cheerful, optimistic and very Kagome-like. She's like a ray of sunshine.
Hehe, Sess was quick that retort. Being around an enthusiastic beginner guitarist isn't easy. It's wonderful to learn a new skill, but it doesn't sound like music in the first few weeks.
Sess is kinda a jerk in this one. Maybe he'll change and be less of a grouch soon? I'm hoping.
Oh my gosh Kagome...that was the best comeback line ever!! Threatening to dump more food on him. She should too.
I'm shocked! I assumed that Kikyo had an unrequited crush on Sess...I had no idea there was more to it than that! No wonder Sesshomaru was grouchy! His little brother was composing a song for his girlfriend!
Yummmmm. Nothing better than chocolate milk. I'm glad Kagome isn't avoiding sweets like Kikyo. There's something wrong with a girl who says no to chocolate.
Another surprise! I guess that IY won't be wooing Kags with his guitar skills, but it's wonderful that they have something in common.

I know this is a random thing to mention, but I like that Kagome is older than Kikyo - even if it's only 2 days. I've never read a fic where Kagome was the oldest. This makes it seem like she might be more mature than her cousin.
I wonder if Miroku will take up an instrument at the end of this, assuming that InuYasha's musical skills make a difference in impressing Kagome.
Haha, Miroku is introduced as the pervy friend! I always get a kick out of people joking about his perverted nature.
