i can't believe i haven't reviewed this story yet!! i LOVE it (as if you had any doubts lolz!!) i really like the whole New York vibe. i haven't been there but i plan on going sometime. i was kinda scared about going there because of all the bad talk I've heard about it but i'm determined to experience that city first hand!! lolz! thanks for the great story!!

Author's Response: I swear, NYC isn't nearly as bad as 'outworlders' (haha) make it seem. I was born in Manhattan and it's an awesome place to grow up. And thanks for checking out this one. I know it's hella urban, which can either be a plus OR a minus, but I do try to keep the vibe entertaining. I'm working on my next chapter and I hope to get it posted before the month is out. I like the concept of this story. At first, I wasn't too sure about reading it but, I'd thought I gave it a try. And for sure now, I'm loving it! This one pulls me in and to me it seems like I'm watching a movie for some reason, lol. I am pulled into everyones character in this story. I feel their pain, sadness and what they go through by just reading it. 

All the drama and suspense gets me in this fanfic. The characters are well planned and balance. I also have to mention that I love the nickname Inuyasha gave to Kagome, "Sweet Pea". I hope he'll use it more often, it kinda suits her in a way! ;p

And poor Rin. I felt bad for her in this chappie. I just hope that she'll be ok soon and fight back somehow. For Sango as well. I hope she and her brother get back and sort things out. Even Kikyou, (even though she's not my fave charater in the manga or show) I just hope that she'll find a way to get out of where she is.

All in all this story is one of a kind. I enjoy every word you've penned in this one. Hope you'll get a chance on continuing with this one.  And again, I'm sorry for the long review.  *Winks* ;)

MPR, is tragic, too, in a way, because everyone is on a bad path, but who survives it, only time will tell. Thanks for such a great review -and for giving this one a shot. Not everyone can deal with something this AU and urban, so it's awesome that you've enjoyed it. ^_^

WOW. You're portrayal of the south bronx is like dead acurate. I actually used to go to this community center around Stratford (and I think...Morrison?) when I was a little kid and it was JUST LIKE the one Sango works at. They even had the art classes! Teacher was a jerk-off though ¬_¬... not like Sango. And there was no Miroku to bring us McDonalds. Hell, we didn;t even get snacks! But enough of my trip down memory lane...I think it's cool picturing Yash and the gang in this kind of setting. Kind of Empire/Gangs of New Yorkish but with an IY twist and a touch of da Grrrl, lol. Very cool. And hard NOT to get into. Update when you can. I'll def read ;) ~Amber

I can't believe I'm submitting a review this late! But I have to say that this is definitely one of my favorites. There are so many layers to your characters and such a natural evolving of emotions that they are completely realistic. Is been a long time that I've felt so connected... to be able to feel what they are going through rather than just reading the words.

 The parts with Inuyasha and Kagome are pure gold. It's interesting to see how Inuyasha finally allows himself to feel with her - and it's not just brooding and insulting her, that he's actually enjoying himself. I know all about the guilf, though: I have seen and witnessed it in too many people to count, but I suppose to grasp the full impact I'd have to experience it myself (I hope I never do)! The car ride was hilarious, and Kagome just might be the one that pulls Inuyasha from his self-destruction.

Sesshoumaru, in this story, has captured my attention to a never-before-exprienced level. He is sweet, contemplative, adn really cares about his brother. It's almost sweet, and you've created a lovely contrast between how Sesshoumaru acts each of the two women, while still being IC: Kagura is sophisticated and guarded, Rin, brazen and seductive. But it's a wonderful imagery of how Sesshoumaru and Kagura feel a mutal attraction (it's obvious that Sesshoumaru sees her more than just a tool) while he and Rin are both trying to use each other.

I see there are more just turbulent waters ahead for Miroku and Sango, it seems Sango will lose all trust adn affection she's showing Miroku once she finds out what he does, and Miroku is already suspicious of Sango's brother.

On a other note... Yeah, you're giving Shippou a serious bad time! I hate that brat; just to betray Sesshoumaru who spared his life just because his otouto like Kagome, who - just to note - has have expressed any interest in the fox demon.

You've done a beautiful depcition of how the mighty fall, how so much destruction and heartache could be avoided if the drug lords had treated just some of their underlings with more humanity. I detest Shippou with a passion, but there is some regret for how Kohaku turned out, and also pity for Kikyou.

I still love your story, though! I'm looking forward to an update soon, hopefully!

Hey, Sweetie. I finally got the lump outta my throat. You know what I mean, seein' as you read my LJ. I wanted to say sooooo much more, but then I thought that I might sound too pretentious, or stuck up. Someone that's got a swelled head on her or a chip on her shoulder.

That's realy not my style, ya know?

There's just so much more that I could say, or write...but as I think about it..., no. I can't. Part of me says that I'll be acting like a know-it-all, & that's really not the way that I am; where as another part says that I'm just telling it like it is.

Real life, ya know? Any ways, I know that you won't judge me, & for that I'm eternally grateful. There's another entry on LJ. It explains why this story hits so close to home.

Don't you dare change anything about the way you're writing this story. If you do...then you'll bear the wrath of one irate Granny.

Just keep letting everyone know the truth about this type of lifestyle, and everything that goes with it.
