You're right, you better run, girl! That was an EVIL cliffie! LOL. Them finally meeting face-to-face is what we're been waiting for....but I see why you did it this way. First, you know we'll DEFINITELY be back (dang it!, lol). Second, this let us see a little more of why Inuyasha is as shy as he is....and why he's so sweet. He had a terrific mother. That lesson with the bird's nest was wonderful. And Letting us see more of how badly he was treated really gives us more insight of how BRAVE he's actually being. When you've been called "beast" and "abomination" your whole life, it would take all the courage in the world to try courting someone. So, needless to say, I definitely look forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: LOL! Yeah, I got my Nikes on! I was like >.> I promised a meeting this chapter, but I had to give y'all a bit more insight as to what kind of person he is. The next chap, and this is a promise, they will see each other face to face. I actually like all of the personalities in this one (for a change), even the doctor and his wife. Everyone has a wholesome agenda, but they're all on different pages, lol.

I just LOVE Inu's innocence in this story so far. Everything seems like it will be so wonderful from his point of view. I SO hope that it will all turn out ok in the end.

I like the whole angle that you are taking with this story! It's so different and wonderful! I like how Kagome is so poor and Inuyasha is alone and yet they are becoming each other's strength and/or purpose. It's beautiful! I really like this.
I fear that scene with the doctor though. Maybe if Kagome becomes a "lady" she might have another suitor with money and home and other stuff for her and Inuyasha might get his heart broken. But I don't believe that Kagome would intend to hurt Inuyasha. I can only hope that he shows himself before the doctor's wife makes her decision.

Aww Kiki, this story is great. It’s a bit different than what you’re use to writing, but it’s very appealing. You made a great fluffy again, like you always do.
The flashbacks that the children have are very interesting too, I like the way you incorporated it into the story. I feel so sorry for what happened to Kagome, she’s all alone… and she barely had food until InuYasha came and started giving her food every three days. InuYasha is such a cutie, leaving Kagome food, warmth, and clothing.
Did Kagome see InuYasha when he came down and looked at the food Kagome left for him? Or did she just go to sleep?

That was not a bad chapter. You just made things interesting by have the old doctor interested in teaching Kagome the finer things in life. Will she accept it once she finds out about Inuyasha? Update soon.

Another good chapter. I really like how you're allowing us to get to know Kagome and Inuyasha individually BEFORE they get together. KNowing how both of them think is going to make it all the sweeter when they finally do meet each other in person. The wait is torture (lol), but I'm sure it will be worth it.
I'm sorry that you reaggravated your injury, though. OUCH! Just take your time until it gets better. We'll still be here.

Hot Muffins!! I love this truly wonderful and very refreshing take on The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty and so many others that reminds me. I love it! The way he has learned and what his mother had taught him!! So sweet that he is providing for her and I beg your forgiveness.. at one point I had a George of the Jungle moment with Inuyasha going to show off his strength to Kagome. I love it!! The way it's woven and the richness! Swoons. Yea... I have a thing for wild men.. very wild men... I can feel a big angsty scene coming up.. giggles happily... So delicious! Even though you will make this a short story.. Nothing is being left out or rushed or overloaded with information!! Squeals very happily!! Races around squeaking... I wonder if Inuyasha will be licking Kagome's face in joyful reunion in the future? *giggles* I love Inu/Kag stories!

I thought of beauty and the beast too! I told C-note that it was my loose version but we nicknamed it "the woodsy one". Have you read her B&B tribute, "Sacrificed"? I think you'd really like it. And Yesh, there will be some angst but not right away. There will also be miscommunication, understanding, and fluff. Can you believe it? More fluff!
