Linds Made Me a Pretty! ^_^
The last few days have been a little blah. I’ve had work to do with the new Deviant Art group for ED, plus I re-skinned my LJ (not that I use it very much), and tried some writing. And that hasn’t been much fun at all. Just like my day job. >.> I’m hating this chapter of The Neighbor, but forcing my way through it. It happens, ya know? Some of them you love, some of them you hate. I’ve also been thinking about The Knife of Romance a lot, so I may read some of that this week to get my mind back into it. I do love that fic…
Anyway, the point is, Linds cheered me up with a pretty! It’s for “In His Eyes” and Neo gave it a little color pop. These chicks rawk, yesh they do! Check out the cuuuute!!
In other news, baseball season has started, and of course, we’re playing Boston right out of the gate. Sigh. Sometimes I despise the MLB. They get a lot of mileage out of the “rivalry” and I’m a little sick of them shitting all over the pinstripes when they all know that league wouldn’t be shit without them. We’re the world fucking chaps -we shouldn’t have to play NINE games before we have our home opener.
They’re supposed to alternate, and since we did this last season, we should have had our first game at our stadium, not that shitty Fenway dump. And worse, we end on the road at Boston. What the fuck? Most of our games with them are scheduled at Fenway. Tell me that’s not more MLB screwing us over. The Yankees fucking MAKE those clowns. Without the “Evil Empire” no one would give a damn about baseball; they depend on us for revenue. Can’t count how many times we’ve heard bitching from other teams about when they play us because that’s the only other time they sell out except on opening day. Pathetic. Go anywhere in the world and you’ll see interlocking NY on hats and shirts and jackets. Yeah. Kneel and kiss the 27 RINGS.
*Fumes in NY*
Anyway, now that that’s out of my system… π
I’m commissioning some chibis for Absolution, so that should be awfully cute. They’re miniatures of existing IG art, but they’re a little different than normal chibis. You’ll see; they’re super cute. I have no idea when they’ll be done, but they’re on order! π
Okay, done for now. I hope y’all are having a good Tuesday!

Aww! That’s a cute pic. I really like Knife of Romance, too. It just makes me think plus it’s so entertaining. Yeah the Yankees are awesome but I hold the Cubs to my heart because that is, after all, my home team. But damn! The Yanks are THE shit!
So I’m reading Suicide Rain right now. I love it so far. I’m on chapter 8, I think so I’ll give you an awesome review at the end π
Anywho, have you heard of a site called tshirthell.com ? They have some funny and crazy shit on there. They have shirts for babies too and one says “Hung like a five year old” lolz!! I like that one! I should buy that for my nephew. Anywho, I’m done yappin’ so have a pleasant Wednesday!
P.S. I can’t wait to see these chibis
Wednesday, 7 April, 2010 at 1:40
Awwwww! The pic is adorable! Neo and Lindsey rocked it. I love the intense stare as she looks “In His Eyes” and a splash of color is always really nice ^_^ And YEEEESSSSS! I’m so excited for the season this year. Loving the rivalry, too xD Since I’ve never been into them like that I’ve never felt it (except for in HS when my softball team had a REALLY ‘Yankees vs Red Sox’-esque rivalry with another school’s team – same uniform colors and everything!), but I’ll be in bean town this weekend….just wearing the “other” interlocking NY on my hat π
Hey, I figure my boys kind of have bragging rights there, lol. We’ve beaten the Red Sox, too.
… 20 years ago >.> Crossing my fingers for a better turn-out this year (like always). They won their first game and who knows, we might even get a repeat of WS 2000! (/wishful thinking xD)
Anyway, I can’t wait to see the chibis and the *twist* to them. Have a good rest of the week Grrrl!
Wednesday, 7 April, 2010 at 1:46
Yay! There’s the pic! I’m so glad you like it!
And WHOOHOO its baseball season already! ::breaks out her Astros Gear:: Guess its time to start bragging to the hubbie about how awesome the Yankees are again this year ::wink wink::
Wednesday, 7 April, 2010 at 9:25
@Linds!
Yesh, I finally got them up and displayed. It took me a bit, with the ED group going on and trying to learn the controls. >..< And thanks again. *GLOMPS* I love, love the piccy!!
GO YANKEEEEES!!! WE WON LAST NIGHT!!!
*Hides from Linds’ hubby* xDDD

@AMMMMMMMM
Didn’t Linds and Neo do awesome? I’m totally jealous. I can’t draw for nuthin’! And I really wish I could. I’d love to make fanart. *sighs* I gotta settle for fics. Fics that don’t cooperate. >.> The Neighbor officially hates me, and scarily, I’m starting to hate back, too. >.<
WE WON LAST NIGHT!!!!
*composes self* π
I love the rivalry, but I also hate it (Your school rivalry must have been so much fun!!). I hate it because MLB and ESPN get fat off of it and we're constantly getting fucked over. We start and end the season on the road. What kind of shit is that? But I also love to hate Boston with their craptastic accents, lol.
“the βotherβ interlocking NY on my hat”
LOL. We argue with the Mets’ fans over that. Y’all stole our interlocking NY (but they don’t do it as well). I hate their colors -that’s my main thing. Orange and royal blue? OMG >.> that’s Lakers territory! But TRUE you guys did whip Boston once in a WS (They say that’s the year babe Ruth crossed the picket line just to make sure Boston still lost). π
The WS in 2000? Wait, that’s when we played y’all, right? Y’all lost that one. I remember Yankee players holding up a sign made of magic markers that said “Mets in 3000”. I admit, I laughed my ass off, but that was wrong. lol. You know what else always got on my nerves?? When Giuliani would go to subway series games and root for the Yankees. Fine, you’re a fan, but you’re not supposed to do that. He should have at least pretended neutrality for harmony’s sake. But when I saw Mets fans cheering for the Phillies during our WS battle, it made me say, nevermind. I don’t root against the Mets unless they play the Yanks, but soooo many were cheering for the Phillies on sports radio. I was like, the next time the Braves come beat you down, I’m cheering for them!
I got one of the Chibi’s back. He’s sooo cute, lol. (Motorcycle Yasha) He looks like a video game character and chunky. xD I sent him to Neo, but I’ll post a tiny version of him soon. Have a happy hump day, and just in case I miss ya, enjoy bean town! π

@Kimmy
Shankies, girly! π
I miss KOR, too. I always end up writing these intense fics that take a lot out of me and then I take ages to complete it. I suck that way. Same thing is happening with The Neighbor. ARGH. I’m hoping to snap out of it soon.
Ain’t nuthin wrong with cheering for the Cubs! I think it’s total shade the way the White Sox act like they’re more than an expansion team. >.> And I loved when that cubs catcher punched that white sox guy in the face when he blasted him at home plate. I remember that so well because it happened the night I went to a Coheed concert. One of the best baseball moments ever. LOL.
You never read Suicide Rain? Oh wow… I’m trying to clean that story up. I have many chaps to go. >.< But I hope you like it! It's a "classic" -my second chapter fic. Still near and dear to my heart!
I've heard of t-shirt hell, but never been there. I totally have to -I love t-shirts. When I saw My Chemical Romance I had to buy the "Mikey Fucking Way" shirt. never wore it, but I bought it! And I wanna see the baby shiiiirts! That sounds so cute and funny!
I got one of my chibis back -he's really cute. I'm gonna post him soon. π
Happy Hump Day!!
Thursday, 8 April, 2010 at 7:21
LOL! With how often you’ve been pushing out chapters I’m not surprised! I’m sure it’ll behave when you least expect it to.
And CONGRATS!! I figured they would. We lost -.- Won our first one, and this second one was SO close. 7-6. Grr…lol.
The rivalry was a love-hate thing for us, too. Some days it was really fun and other days >.> the other team was looking to GET IT. And God…I hate their accents, too! xD I’m going to see about a school and which credits they’ll transfer over from here and depending on how it goes, I might be finishing my last two years there, but I am SO afraid of coming back w/ that northern drawl. Its cringe-worthy how I was talking to someone there and they asked “Wanna go to a PAHTY?” Um…. o.o NO! lol.
Ouch! xD But its true. Even still, I happen to like the stylized NY and the >.> tacky colors (aren’t Lakers purple and yellow, though??). And we did play you guys and lose in 2000, but it was still so exciting to see NY vs itself and my boys make it that far. The first and only time I’ve ever been to an actual game was that WS. Shea Stadium – and we probably had the crappiest seats in the house. We couldn’t see ANYTHING, but I loved it! WS last year was exciting, too. I would have loved to go down to the New Stadium (my dad went…alone *kicks him*). Also, too, because I happened to like both teams pretty well and I followed them both when I saw they’d make it to the series. I wasn’t planning to root on either side, but for Yankees it was just so high energy last year with the opening of the New Stadium that I went w/ them. Good thing, too because Phillies started acting pretty SHADY. Especially when they kept hitting A-Rod.
Chibi Yasha sounds sooooooo precious!! I love chibis! Can’t wait to see him. And thanks!! I leave Friday night. I’m not sure if I’ll have internet or anything so if I don’t, have a good weekend! And happy Thursday π

Hey grrl! Sorry your hands are giving you trouble! Love the new skin on Absolution I just spent a good while staring! If only they had that at Notre Dame ;p Too bad about Neighbor giving you problems I personally was just impressed by how many chaps you put out so soon! The Red Sox can suck you know what! They are WAY overrated! Coming from Washington state I have no real love for A-Rod but I love the Yankees so he’s working his way to being chill with me! Hope you feel better!
Thursday, 8 April, 2010 at 22:28
Oh wow! The new Abi skin is beautiful. I love the pic and the background *squees happily* So my test over the full lesson went great. I don’t know my grade on it but I don’t have any doubts.
So my first BIG test is next Thursday so I’m crammin’ now lolz! People say Japn 101 is a hard class but I say it’s a breeze if you really enjoy it. I wish I could love Sciences that way lol! Biology is the hardest thing for me. I don’t plan on taking it!!
Anywho, I just stopped by to see how your week is going and see if you’re okay. Thank God tomorrow’s Friday, right! Oyasuminasai (good night), grrrl.
P.S. Coheed & Cambria are so awesome. I was just listening to the playlist. I really like Shattered Symphony.

@Kimmy
Thanks girl! Neo did a bang up job and I simply had to bloody it up a lil. xD You have to drop by the gallery and see my new Chibi. xD I’ll be posting them here soon, but he’s a real cutie!
Congrats on knowing you scored well and good luck on the new test! (I knew what goodnight was. :P) You’re right; when you love something it’s a total breeze. <.< And I sucked at science, too. *shudders with ick*
AND YOU LIKE SHATTERED SYMPHONY! WEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
The new cd comes out on Tuesday (earlier for some us <.<) and I had to celebrate with a coca playlist of old and new stuff. Now you see why I love these guys. SQUEEEE. They're fantastic and I can't wait to see them again in May. You can grab that song on the G-page, by the way. π
TGIF!!

@ Jenn!
Does Arod and Wash have some kinda connection? I didn’t follow him before he became a Yankee. But he’s my #1 man now (Next to Yasha, of course!). I dislike the Red Sux intensely. They’re these losers that act like they’re owed something for 86 years of suck. Sure, they went through us in 2004, but only because we fell down on the job and choked, not because they were actually better. There’s a reason why we issued two Boston Massacre bloodbaths (in their own house) -cause the Yankees are better. Period. (Yeah, I dislike them as much as their fans dislike us!)
Which skin did you see? Crimson Angel? I just put that one up today. I love alternating skins -weeee. π I’m an art whore, so all I wanna do is stare! I commissioned these super cute chibis that I’m gonna post soon. You can see one on my gallery now. Supa kawaii, and wait til you see the Hikari one. Oh gosh!
My hands are still being crabby (thanks!), but I’m doing little by little. I miss updating like I was, but what can ya do, eh? I’ll get back at it eventually. *crosses fingers* I’m also realizing that an entire year has passed since I updated Knife of Romance. Unacceptable, so I’m working on that one, too.
Hope all is well with you, girly! Don’t let those whiny ‘bucks customers get to ya! ^_^

@ AMMMMMMM
Shankies! I loved taking them for 2 out of 3. I just wish we hadn’t screwed up that first game -it would have been a sweep. Just what they deserve to start their season off right! π
βWanna go to a PAHTY?β
LMFAO. Oh, that’s funny as HELL. They sound nuts when they talk, and then they look at us like something is wrong when we’re like o_O
And they have parties there? lulz. That place is so dead; all they have are a few good schools. Otherwise, no one is breaking their necks to live there, that’s for sure.
Yeah, Lakers are yellow and purple, but I was referring to the shitty colors in general. Them, Mets, and Oakland A’s have the worst colors EVER. I cringe whenever they show up. I think the Mets know their colors suck; that’s why they have so many costume changes. Yanks have two outfits -home and away- and when you hear “The Pinstripes”, they’re referring to only one team. *flashes a shit-eating grin* That’s the one thing I love -they didn’t jump on that bad bandwagon of having 100+ suits.
And ain’t a subway series WS the shit? In 2000 baseball heads were HOT over that and I loved it. It’s like we shut out the whole fucking league -haha. I actually haven’t been to the new stadium. I’ve seen it, but I haven’t actually gone in. I’ve been to lots of games at the old one, though. It’s always a good time, an expensive good time. And true! Last WS the energy was mad high and I loved watching The Phillies eat it. I was pissed at my boys, though, for not shutting them down early on. When they lost I went nuts. Oh yeah. Eat it. There was a guy in midtown with all this Philly gear and we were giving him these hard looks cause we were draped in Yankee stuff. Needless to say, he felt uncomfy. But that was nothing to the stupid shit that happened in their state. Michael Kay (Yankee announcer) was talking about incidents of violence against Yankee fans. That’s why it was especially sweet when they got their asses kicked and we celebrated in the new house. *nods* Fucking buttholes.
I hung one chibi up already; just waiting to do the angel one. Squee. I’m already deciding which to order next! π
Have a safe trip!!
Friday, 9 April, 2010 at 7:01
Oooooh…okay, so I don’t think I ever told you – I had pictures at one point, and I’ll see if I can find them again – but around winter I took a tour of the new place. My softball team does a Yankee trip every year (since they’re mostly all fans) and we tagged along. I gotta say, its pretty LEGIT. I think it cost somewhere around $11-15, but the museum is hooked up. There’s a wall of all their signatures and signed baseballs and of course, all the WS trophies. Then they take everyone into the clubhouse (where there’s no pictures allowed), and you see their lockers where they leave all their stuff until the season starts (Mark Teixeira’s locker was so close >.> so TEMPTING. His SNEAKERS were there.). Its some superstition they have where they leave their stuff because they wanna come back and it was actually really cute. Swisher’s had a bunch of newspaper clippings and a huge picture of him with a fan that I think had cancer. There’s a fridge that still had the whipped cream Swisher used to make their pies, too. Then memorial park had all these plaques up on a wall – really pretty – and a nice big one for 9/11. They also left the scoreboard up from the last WS game and since it was winter, had a Christmas tree on the field. Also >.> and this how you KNOW they’re ballin’…along with a little key-chain (that stabbed me when I tried to open the little plastic bag it was in -.-) as “gifts” for going on the tour they gave everyone Zales gift cards for $50 off a $200+ purchase.
Anyway, I saw the gallery! Actually checked it out a few times to get another few glimpses of that cutie. The layout and everything looks AMAZING. I can’t wait to see what you do with the Hikari one and the more you’ve got coming! I just noticed Biker!Yasha’s little eyebrow piercing, too. How CUUUUUUUUUTE! .>). But yeah, I wouldn’t ever live there if only to avoid that accent. I’ve already got my boyfriend telling me that if I go, he’s calling EVERY DAY to “Bronx” me back up (which ironically, I threatened my niece w/ first since she’s going to school around there, too). And from what I’ve seen of some places, its pretty stuck-up. The one I’m checking out is an “urban” campus (kind of like NYU), so I’m hoping its a different story, but I know it’ll be a lot different from the city here anyway. One of my HS teachers would always tell us “Remember – you go anywhere else in the country and it won’t look like here.” And its the truth. Cuz no where has as much diversity….and no one can touch us. Period xD
But thanks! Leaving tonight, so have a good weekend Grrrl =D
