Beyond Redemption

Since I’m actually starting to write more (I just updated In His Eyes for the second time in 5 days, or so), I just posted a new poll wanting to know my lovelies’ honest opinion about updates. I’ve said in the past that I want to make smaller chapters because that will allow me to update more often. I’ve done that, chopping down the average 7-8,000 words to 4,000 or less. But I’m thinking about chopping them even more.

Would y’all be cool with super short chapters, like 2500 or less, if it meant seeing several updates from me per week (instead of 1 or two every couple of months)? I have a lot of unfinished WIPs, and some of them, just knowing that they require a long chapter puts me off and I end up not updating them. When I first started, all of my chapters were in the 2,000 range and I updated 5-6 times a week (of course, I wasn’t as busy then, either). I won’t be able to update that many times, but I think, if I really put some effort into it and keep chaps super short, I can update at least twice a week.

What do y’all think? Even if you’re a lurker at Absolution, reading in silence, vote in this poll so I can get a feel for what y’all would like to see. Yes, I know. As the writer, I control the flow and my readers just have to “deal”, but y’all know I’ve never been that way. I write for my love of Yasha, but I post publicly for my lovelies and I try to give them what they want when I can. So vote! 😀
