Tokio Hotel — Discoveries When Bored.
So, I should be resting my arms. They HURT. But when doing so, I watched some videos ‘On Demand’. Well Music Choice had a Tokio Hotel video up called “Automatic”. Now, I had heard the name before and paid it no mind. But I was bored and curious, so I gave them a shot.
Not bad.
The chorus for Automatic really grabbed me, thus making me go download ALL of their CDs. Turns out, 2 are in English and 2 are in German. (Yep, they’re from Germany). The lead singer, Bill, looks super androgynous and Adam Lambert-y, but 80 pounds thinner, lol. Then I made the discovery that the guitarist (I was wondering why the camera went to him so much) is Bill’s identical twin brother, Tom, who looks like he stepped out of “King” magazine. Talk about complete opposites.
However, some of the tunes, SOME of them, are catchy. Now, the first English CD, “Scream/Room 483” didn’t have anything that grabbed me. I’ve just finished the new one, “Humanoid”, and it’s decidedly better. These are the decent ones:

Dogs Unleashed (Sounds eerily reminiscent of Orgy’s remake of “Blue Monday”)

Hey You (Catchy in a “We Will Rock You” sorta way)
So, overall, I give them a B. It’s always great to find new songs to write to, and they’ve done that (especially with Automatic), so they get a passing grade. While I was getting that, I also picked up Flyleaf’s new one as well as 30 Seconds to Mars, and Janet’s new double CD (Had all those songs already, though).
I used to have a little “sharing” circle on LJ, but since I’m not there anymore, I won’t be doing that. lol. However, I can still do it here. I like them too. My sister Liz got their cd that’s how I heard the songs. She picked it up with me at otakon last year. They won some MTV awards too the twin thing freaked me out when they sung on there lolz

It’s official. Onna is fucking awesome!!!! That pic is just beautiful!! One look at that and I’m like ‘Sesshy who?’ lolz! Just kidding! But damn that’s well done. So I checked out that Automatic song and oh my gosh it’s awesomeness! I’ve never heard of Tokio Hotel. In fact, before some I read some of your stories or went through your playlists, I’d never heard of a lot of the songs but I’m sure glad that I do now. You have great taste in music!
I finally thought of a way to thank you for your amazing stories and well what better way than a gift fic? I’ve never done a Inu/Kags story. My forte is Sess/Kags but for you, I’ll take a stab at it. It’ll be on ED and when I get the ball rolling, I’ll give you a heads-up. Now, I know it won’t compare to your awesomeness but I’ll surely try!

ok.. I have to do some pimpin.. that is one HOT header up top… LOL!! it looks good love the color scheme with it… I love the new song.. I had heard of them, but I never get time to just music surf, so I go by what you find most of the time.. I swear I have no internet time to myself unless I get less sleep.. haha!! but sometimes it’s worth it.. (^_^)b
Love the picture that is one really hot one, I will need to save it at DA when I get to visit it again.. and please do share JM’s stuff… if I have to we can gang up on him and tell him, his playing is some good shit and we won’t take no for a answer.. LOL!!

Isn’t TH good? The more I hear “Automatic”, the more I like them. This song reminds me of two things: Summer and one of my fictions, so you know I’ll have to use it in the story! The lead singer is so femme, but also really cute. I can see why little girls would do the hero worship thing with him. he needs a meal, tho >.>
And that InuYasha, his face, holy crap. Gorg. That’s exactly how I’d like to think he’d look if he were real.

“On Demand” is amazing. They have the most legit stuff, like the music videos for free. I’m not sure if they still have it (I have direct tv, but my cousin has io) but they had a few episodes of InuYasha up in the free section for Adult Swim on demand. The best for me, though, was when they had South Park and Family Guy up. If I wasn’t so in love with tivo, I’d deff make the switch. Over the summer they had this special for episodes of “Dexter”….I bought every single one >.> and its been my obsession ever since (twitter can attest to that, lol).
“Automatic” is a pretty good song. I saw it done by a student at my old HS and really liked the lyrics, but I never caught the name of the band who played it. And I like the idea of a sharing circle…I’ll shoot you an email. Abi’s introduced me to some pretty good jams before and my ipod classic has memory to spare

You got that right. That is most definitely THE REAL InuYasha. Now that’s what I’m talking bout. When I first found fan art and shit, I found a couple of “real” InuYasha’s on DA myself. Makes me wonder if they’re still there. You may or may not remember what I’m talking about. I’ll have to see if I can find them.
