Beyond Redemption

Been MIA for a bit. I severely pulled a muscle in my shoulder and it put me down pretty good. The pain has been so severe that it reverberates into my chest, which sucks the hairiest balls ever. I see my doc in a few days, but in the meantime, shit just blows. Doesn’t help that I haven’t really felt like writing or doing much of anything since breathing even hurts…

Anyway, going to attempt to do some writing today. I have about 2 half chapters I picked away at on my desktop, so let’s see if I can finish them and get them posted fast. They won’t be very long or every great; doing anything IY-related is a struggle for me these days. But I do want to try and finish the 5 requested fics, at least. Next month InuGrrrl turns 9. Dude, why am I still doing this? lol.

People annoy the fucking shit out of me sometimes, I swear. And it’s only because of who I am, and who I was raised to be, that I don’t completely fucking flip. So please, tread lightly when /if you approach. You don’t want to be that final straw.

That said, sorry there hasn’t been another update yet. I’ve been into something else lately, and while I did some writing, it wasn’t for InuYasha. There’s a project I’m working on that I’m pretty inspired/excited about and I managed to get some work done on it (This is neither here, nor there for y’all, but still). I do plan to work on more IY-oriented stuff, though, because I still owe you guys the rest of the FA fics (You’ll get them, but I won’t make it by the end of the month. I told you guys that in an earlier post). But I’ll be taking time when I can -and when my hands don’t hurt- to work on other things, too, since my interest in IY feels like it’s dying a rapid death.

To be honest, working on a side thing kinda refreshes me in a way that gives me a boost when I have to deal with IY again. Hard to explain, but it’s like having hard block on something, so you scrap it, do other things, and when you go back to it, the block has lessened.

Anyway, I just wanted to quickly update you. I’m not sure when the next chapter will be done, but I can say that I’ll be keeping it short and posting the moment it’s complete.

I’ll tell you what you probably figured out already. I’m not going to make my self-imposed April deadline for FA Month. Sorry. I’m taking my time because I’m not risking my hands anymore. So, while it will be a bit longer than 2 weeks, they are coming. I plan to make the promised 5 what I update first. Afterward, I’ll be updating random stories (Whatever gives me the least amount of trouble).

Now, about the wishlist. I’m allowing my regular reviewers to put in their .02 on what gets some completion love. I’ll do so via poll after FA Month is over and each person will get three choices. Choose wisely. The ones that garner the most votes -in addition to my personal faves- will be what gets considered when I start updating “with purpose”.

I’m a firm believer in not blindsiding people. That shit is uncool, so here is the warning. I won’t be writing much longer. I don’t really have it in me anymore, and frankly, I don’t think many of you really want to read this shit anyway, so why waste my time and injure my hands? I have other interests, and while I will still write, it won’t be for this fandom.

That said, it won’t be an abrupt departure. I’m going to work hard to end some of the ‘fan faves’ -and my own faves- because I want to give my active readers a little something before I go for their years of support. Once I put the cap on my IY pen, I won’t be using the InuGrrrl name anymore (at least not for writing), but I’ll still be around. My friends are my friends wherever I go.

To those who are inactive at Absolution, you’re getting deleted. No more access if you’re not R+Ring because you’re just taking up space. I know who logs in and who doesn’t, who reviews and who doesn’t, and you can expect your deletion soon. If you’ve insulted my hard work with a shitty rating or review, you’re getting deleted. No one is immune to the rules of my site, so please don’t think you’re safe to do as you please. I don’t have any fucks left to give and you can kick fucking rocks.

To those who have -and still do- actively show support for my work, thank you very much. I still write because of you and I’ll do my best to give you some conclusions. But I won’t lie to you. Several fics will never be completed, but I’ll try hard to finish the ones I know you truly like (I judge that by reviews, if you’re curious).

It’s enough to write something at all; big, robust, meaty chapters just aren’t happening this time around. Gomen ne.

Those are the ones you guys chose, so they will be updated throughout the month of April in no particular order. Word counts will vary, but I warn you now that none will exceed 4k (Unless I’m really feeling inspired).

There will also be a bonus update, but I won’t be disclosing the name of it (since I haven’t chosen it yet). I have no idea when the first chapter will be ready, or the order in which I will update. I may write them all and wait to post them as a block, or I may post the second a chapter is completed. We shall see!

Finally upgraded my gallery. It needed it and I didn’t have to close anything. Well, I closed Absolution briefly last night. But yeah, it seems to be all good. Now to see about writing something. Arrrrrgh. lol.

I was hoping to get an update out to you guys pronto, but it’s been busy and I’ve been in a shitty, non-writing mood. I have a concert on Sunday, doc appts and shit… the mood is just not here. That said, I’m still going to try to get something out to you guys in the next week and a half. Fan Month is still tentative. I’m hoping to get my mood -and overall care- for fanfic back by then, but keep in mind that April is tentative and it may get pushed back a bit. I should probably do it in June when my anniversary hits, but I don’t want to wait that long (and I’m sure you don’t, either), so just gimme some time to get my shit together.
