Beyond Redemption

Some random info.

1. I had to cancel one of my IY commissions because the artist is indisposed right now. So, you won’t be seeing one of the awesome ones I spoke of just yet, but I wish her all the best. She’s a fantastic person, and hopefully, she’ll be better soon. <333

2. I have another IY art that should be finished any day now, and thus far, it looks fucking amazing.

3. I have one more k-pop art that I’m waiting for. Still unsure if I’m posting it to my gallery yet, since it’s not Yashie-related. We’ll see. I may even make one an Absolution layout. ^^ (Yes, I can do that.)

4. I forgot to do my confessional on Wed., but dammit, I had just gotten a root canal. My mind was elsewhere!

5. I didn’t write much but I did watch some horror movies, so I guess it’s time for…. FLIX IN REVIEW!

I’m going to keep this short and simple because I actually feel like writing fanfic right now…

The Collection: It’s a serial killer/slasher/gore flick that I enjoyed, save for one part that you’ll figure out if you see it. It was actually really fun to watch. (Lots of yelling at the screen XD)

4 out of a possible 5 Yashas.

Detention: Comedy/slasher flick. It had funny moments, but overall, it’s not the best. It involves time travel and cliches (on purpose, for comedic purposes). If you grew up in the 90’s, it’s worth a giggle.

2.5 out of a possible 5 Yashas.

Mama: It’s more supernatural than really horror and the ending made me sad. During the 2008 crash, some guy kills his co-workers and ex wife and then steals his 2 daughters. They drive off in a snowstorm, crash, wind up at an abandoned cabin and he gets ready to kill them -and himself- but something stops him. From there, it picks up 5 years later with his twin brother searching for the girls and shit just gets weird. I think it’s worth seeing once. Oh, and the lead male is “Jaime” from Game of Thrones.

3.5 out of a possible 5 Yashas.

Sinister: Genuinely creepy supernatural/serial killer type flick with a bit of a lame crux. It’s worth a watch, tho. Basically, an entire family is murdered (Hung from a tree in the yard) and one of the children goes missing. Ethan Hawke stars as a washed up, true crime writer who moves into the murdered family’s home (with his own family) to write about it and gets all tangled up in the mess. Like I said, the imagery is genuinely creepy at times.

3.5 out of a possible 5 Yashas.

Sleep Tight: Spanish flick about a very strange guy, and to me, this doesn’t qualify as horror. I can’t say more than that because there’s an interesting intro into the plot that I would spoil if I gave you a real synopsis. However, the ending was unsatisfying for me. It’s worth one watch. For free.

2.5 out of a possible 5 Yashas.

Killer Joe: What a weird, stupid movie. >.> Maybe I just didn’t get it, but it didn’t appeal to me (though it supposedly has a cult following. I mean, Matthew Mcconaughey???). It’s not even real horror. Basically, the plot is a redneck father and son plot to kill his mother/divorced wife for her insurance money and end up hiring a hitman (Matthew). When they don’t have the money upfront to pay him, the hitman takes a retainer -the guy’s somewhat slow and child-like sister. It felt all pedobear to me, even though I *think* she was of age… There are several faces in it that you’d probably recognize, but again, not really my cup of tea and the ending was fucking dumb.

1.5 out of a possible 5 Yashas.

Now I need to see “John Dies at the End”, if I can find it. XD

I just realized I’ve updated 6 times in the last 6 weeks, which is some kind of miracle for me. My hands are starting to pay for it, but I just put on new braces, so hopefully that will help because I want to keep going while I “feel” it, ya know?

I made a dulce de leche birthday cake for mys ick friend yesterday (He shares that birth date with my mom and Dangersque aka Danga) and I made the leche myself.

The cake is yellow sponge with buttercream icing and dulce de leche filling/topping. >.> Probably 10lbs to the gut per slice, but those are his favorite flavors and he loved it. 😀

In fandom news, I’m done hosting contests. The Valentine’s Day one was the last. I spend a lot of money on these things, and most of the time, it’s not worth it. This last contest had a bit of an ‘upset’ with first place going to a piece that wasn’t technically’ as good as second place (both art), but apparently, struck a bigger chord with the judges. Let’s just say that I had zero issue with how, who, and what was chosen as the 3 winners. I completely understood the choosing and stand by it as the hostess of the contest and the only one who ever pays for these things. (With special thanks going to my graphics team, who provides the wallpapers)

In fact, everyone involved in the contest got a prize that was actually purchased, which means I spent money on it, but only a few bothered to even say thank you or congratulate the other winners. UGH. NO HOME TRAINING. It’s enough now, so no more money is going into the IY fandom unless it’s to benefit myself or my special ones.

Moving on…

I’m writing again today and I’ll have some new art for you guys to chuckle at. It won’t be a header, though. I’ve been reluctant to change headers yet because I adore the current one so much (You guys know I love baseball, so “Baseball Yasha” is one of my all time faves). I added the full pic to my gallery if you want to take a peek. I’ve been neglecting o post new artises there, so I’ll be catching up on that soon.

And last, thanks to everyone who dropped me a line at Absolution. Knowing you enjoy the updates motivates me to bring you more, so let’s see what we can do before my hands force me to take a break!

Anyway, I’ll be writing again today because I want to do a certain amount of updates in a certain amount of time. I’ve decided that I need to start concrete making plans to leave the InuYasha fandom, for real this time. No more getting sucked back in by this or that. I have a few great people who show my work love, and I adore them for it, but this is long overdue. I have interests in other things -like originals- but I won’t be posting them as IG, if I post online at all. When I leave fandom, I want the break to be clean. 

For those awesome people who consistently treat me and my fanfics well, I promise to do my best to write up some conclusions to the stories you follow. You deserve that from me and you’ll get it.

The fair weather friends, the “sometimes” fans, the thieves, the nazis, the critics, and so on can all GTFO now.
It’s been a blast, bitchez. Kick rocks.

The lovelies who are still with me -and still have site access- can expect plenty of stuff down the road because I do have things I want to give y’all before I call this shit an era. Like I said, you deserve that from me after 7 years and a shitload of crazy hiatuses, so just be patient and mindful of the stress on my hands. Sometimes I just can’t update; I use my hands for work as well as writing and there are times when the pain simply won’t allow it. Other times, my brain refuses to cooperate; the words just won’t come no matter how much I stress over it. I’m working on both, so just hang in there, ne?

So, I’m not in the greatest of moods. I never am when it comes to the anniversary of my mother’s death. Tack on that I’m getting sick and tired of rude ingrates and you have a Grrrl in rare form. I haven’t written anything. I usually shutdown around this time, and while I wasn’t super upset or anything, I didn’t feel like being bothered with anything, either. But I will say this, people piss me off, and therefore, I’m not going to extend myself anymore. They can have a big, fat slice of my FUCK YOU cake because I’m so over these assholes.

Aside from that, I know I promised to have something written by now, but I explained what happened above. I just get in a “I don’t wanna do shit” mood and I end up, well, not doing shit but reading manga and wallowing. I had other reasons for not feeling like writing that started a while back, and combined with the shit that’s going on now and RL issues, I’m just in rare form. That said, I will be making a real effort to write this weekend. And I do intend to do F.A. month (Obviously not this month since it’s well into it already, but soon!). Gotta have fun with this stuff while I still can, right? So make sure you vote if you read this blog. I also realized that I didn’t put GFE on that list. Sorry! But don’t worry about it ’cause that one is guaranteed to be updated.

Okay, I’m off to attempt some fics. Whatever I produce will probably be short. It will allow me to get more done if I attempt multiple stories. Heck, who knows. I may even start the FA in the middle of the month and carry it into next month if I get properly motivated. *Takes a peek at the scores thus far* xD
