Beyond Redemption

I’m having such a nice week! One of my newest lovelies, Angie (Angie22) was kind enough to draw some fanart for me based on my stories! I’m a sucker for artwork, but giftart??? o((*^▽^*))o What an honor! So go check it out! ^^

I have some work to do for ED, but once that’s done, I’ll work on some updates. I’m hoping I can get the words to cooperate for me again and bang out more than one. （-＾〇＾-）

Today’s Confession…

1. I’ve been sick more times in the past couple of months than I have been in years. UGH.

2. I really, really hate pedophiles, however, I don’t think a fascination with shota or loli should get anyone locked up. “Kids on paper” can’t be harmed or exploited.

3. Marriage doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest.

4. I can’t stand when people ask, “How long will this story be?” like I’d fucking know. If you’re on a timetable, don’t fucking read it. So, unless I say it’s a oneshot, all you need to know is that my longest fic is about 53 chapters and I always said I’d never write another that long. Therefore, it’s safe to assume that whatever I write will be less than 53 chapters. *eyeroll*

5. I really enjoy yaoi. I enjoy it 10 times more than I enjoy shoujo.

6. I dislike when people randomly contact me at fandom-esque websites and strike up a conversation as if we’re friends. It happened for the umpteenth time and I’m annoyed. At least properly introduce yourself and include how you know who I am. If it’s not something you’d do with a stranger on the street, don’t do it on the net. Simple, yes? Same for Twitter and Facebook -DO NOT RANDOMLY FRIEND ME WITHOUT AN INTRO OF SOME SORT.

7. I’m going to see Gatsby on Thursday night (Yes, an advanced screening). Leonardo DiCaprio is a sexy muthafucka and the soundtrack is really good.

8. I randomly decided that I just didn’t feel like going anymore, so I sold my B.A.P. tickets. I’d rather my first k-pop concert be U-KISS, whenever that may be.

9. I’m eating Peanut Butter Cap ‘n Crunch right now. Yum. (And yes, it cuts the roof of the mouth)

10. I’m a proofreader for two scanlation groups under two different names. (And no, I will not tell you which)

11. I think (real) porn is absolutely boring.

12. Despite the wails of desperate fangirls, I don’t find Ryan Gosling attractive. Not even a little. (I did like him in Drive, though)

13. I really like that show, Scandal, because it reminds me of the kind of fanfic I like to write -taboo.

14. I routinely paint my nails pale pink every week, as I dislike all these atrocious, gawdy nail designs.

15. Freshly baked cookies are addictive for me, so I have to be careful with them.

I haven’t been writing. I was supposed to, but I didn’t. I was down. You know why. No need to rehash. The plan is to do some writing today -and the rest of the week. I need something other than RL to occupy my mind. As usual, don’t expect greatness. I had to take an unexpected detour with writing due to being sick, so I feel rusty again. But it’s better than nothing, right?

Kau treated me to some UKISS fanart and I got one finished commission today. I love it. It’s fucking adorable. I’ll post it to my gallery when I get the others so they can go up as a block. I’m very happy with the result thus far. Yay. I’m waiting for two IY arts as well, but one of my artists went MIA on me. Dunno what’s up -this is totally unlike her- but I need to hear from her soon…

UKISS created their first sub-unit (A group within a group) called uBEAT and their first mini album drops tomorrow (Well, today in Korea). Totally excited to hear it because Kevin is being featured as a guest singer and they’re doing some remixes of a few songs from their latest CD, Collage. As usual, I’ll buy the digital copy then a physical one from overseas (I don’t do that for any other group and I never will). I just wish they had gone with a cooler image for this since this CD involves the English speaking members and ‘rappers’ of the group. But… nope. They’re doing the usual Korean, colorful, dorky thing they do. Sigh. But I adore them anyway.

In other news, came across another art thief on dA. It never ceases to amaze me at how bold these talentless pricks are. But more than that, I just don’t get the stealing and plagiarizing. To me, it sends a simple message:

“I’m a fucking zero, I know it, so this is the only way I can seem like more than a talentless slug in the eyes of people who don’t know any better.”

Seriously, it’s a brand of pathetic that I just can’t relate to. What good is praise that you didn’t earn? In what universe will anyone respect a thief? As someone who has had her fanworks stolen a number of times, it’s a really disgusting, lowlife practice. It shows me that the cunts who stole my work are too stupid and lacking to do something as simple as string a few words together. I have a thousand times more respect for someone who writes a shitty story or makes crappy fanart than the douche-canoe who copies and posts someone else’s shit. Why? Because bad can improve to good and dicks will always be dicks.

Sorry I couldn’t update something before the 1st like I planned.  Zero inspiration + lack of time is a bitch. I wasn’t 100% satisfied with my update, but it flowed fairly easily, so I won’t complain. 3600+ words from a mind that isn’t thinking fanfic is a pretty good feat. lol. I plan to try it again, so keep your fingers crossed for me. The hope is that I’ll get several chapters off the ground in the coming weeks. They’ll all be around the same size, word count wise, which will be easier on me. Oh, and I left an interesting hint in the last chapter (if you follow that story), but you know the rules: No leaving theories in your reviews. Just ponder it on your own…

In other news, I made my first member cut of the new year. Guys, I’m being dead serious. The rules at my site are absolute. I usually give people two chances to fuck up (Yes, I keep score), and when they do, I delete them without warning. No one is immune from that, because like I’ve said in the past, if you’re not there to enjoy the story, or if I feel like you don’t enjoy the stories, you’re gone without any warning and you will never get another account. Need a refresher on how things are? Go to my site and read the ToS. And no, I don’t feel like I’m some big deal and never have -don’t confuse me with other IY authors who think their shit smells like bakery biscuits. I just don’t subject myself to bullshit anymore -my house, my rules, or GTFO.

My friend, Ayling, made another artsie for me! She actually made this one first, but I only posted it now, so have a peek! She’s brilliant!

I’ve had a lot to do in the last 2 weeks, so I’ve been pretty absent. I didn’t really have time for fanfic and shit. Plus, this is my mom’s anniversary week, so yeah. I’m a little raw and patience is a lot short. I still owe plenty of people mail; I’ll get to it when I can. I didn’t just forget you. Like I said, busy + Mom = rough waters. I do feel like writing a bit, though, so something should be coming down the pipe. Don’t expect greatness; I just explained that I don’t really have much in me right now, and writing has been giving me shit even before that.

In nice news, I got some giftart. It’s really cool and my Neo the Great hooked me up with some site goodies with it, so yay for her being the absolute best at what she does! \o/  Also, I have several new arts coming down the pipe. One is already here -and it’s great. The second was approved days ago, so it will probably be done soon. That one is just InuYasha and it’s for “The Last Exit to Eden“. He looks soooo cute in the sketch, so I think y’all will like it and it will help you picture him in the next chapter. ^^

The art that’s ready, and the two others that are coming, are for “If I Want To“, so trust. If I’m investing this much $$ in art, that story is definitely getting written. The latter two are called “Brother of Mine” and that’s the only hint! I’ll say this, though. They’re a WAY different style of art than I usually buy. It’s far more “manga” looking -and I don’t mean IY manga.  You’ll see what I mean when I post them. 😀 So, how about a new art recap?

I enjoy yaoi anime and manga. I love watching pretty boys fumble through the entanglements of various relationships just as much as I like watching het couples do it. Hell, I’ll go out on a limb and say I enjoy it more than het couples. And now, thanks to Netflix and my irrepressible curiosity, I’ve found a new love in gay cinema.  I’ve watched all of these movies in about 3 days:

With the exception of Come Undone (boring) and Mysterious Skin (disturbing and heartbreaking), I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself. I used to hate all things yaoi when I first joined the IY fandom. Wanted jackshit to do with it. Now, I adore good yaoi, especially a story that’s more than pretty boys humping each other. Give me some substance and it’s on and poppin’!

So, my confession is simple: I really love yaoi, so much so, that my first original will probably be a story about gay men. I also confess that I really dislike yuri. It’s so fucking boring to me…  Blech. >.<

I Feel Loved! xD

This was a super-fucking-awesome birthday. It really was and I didn’t even do much today. I spent a good deal of the day with Kau online and thanking all the awesome people who remembered and acknowledged my day. What an honor! So, thank you guys so much. I really appreciate it! <333 I also got some really GREAT gifts and I was so surprised and happy!! Shall I share? Yeah, I think I will! 😛 My kau sent me a goodie box from Louisiana that contained caramel monkey bread, white chocolate truffles, tons of candy, a set of Hello Kitty figurines from Japan, TWO Daryl action figures (from The Walking Dead), TWO Kevin Woo videos (SQUEE!), and some cute and funny art. However, the art is private and I won't be displaying it anywhere. That's why she's my best Kau -she rocks!! My awesome sister, Neo, had a Human -canon- InuYasha commissioned for me and it's so cute! The artist did really well, especially with the background. She also made me a bunch of Kevin graphics and I FUCKING LOVE THEM! WAAAAAH!!!!ONEONE! My totally BEAST little sister, Am, got me an iTunes GC and made me a killer wallpaper of guess who?! KEVIN WOO -INUYASHA- ZERO KIRYUU!!!!!! \o/ To say I screamed and bounced around like a child is an understatement. Those are the 3 guys I love the most, so I’m pretty damn stoked! She knows my passion!!

The sweet and talented, Cati-Art, Blackorchid2007, and InuKagomeluvrs, and Moniquiu all made me these GORGEOUS Human InuYasha piccies that I just ADORE!! All three are just too cute and sexy. WAAAH! Love them!

My wonderfully talented nee-chan gave me the gift of coloring my Knife of Romance lineart that Sarah created, and oh yeeeeeeeeah. You guys are gonna like what you see! *slurp*

Over at Deviant Art, aside from the giftart, I got some cake badges, llamas, and a bunch of birthday well wishes from my buds and watchers. Same at Facebook -and it was really nice to be remembered.

As a gift to myself, I got a dozen cupcakes from my favorite bakery on EARTH. Wanna check ’em out? This’ll do you no good if you don’t live in New York City, though. 😛 Sugar Sweet Sunshine . Their pistachio cupcakes are to DIE for. *drool*

I also got U-KISS’ latest CD (you’re hearing one of the new songs now), which was one of the best gifts ever! I even learned all the Japanese lyrics to “Forbidden Love” -my favorite U-KISS song to date! <3 And last, but not least, I finally treated myself to an iPod Touch. I had a classic all this time and never really considered switching since it works perfectly. But I changed my mind and it's an awesome little device. But again, this is Apple. Of course it's awesome! xD Mhmm. The day was pretty fucking awesome. \(^o^)/ I'll be posting all my gifts to the gallery tomorrow because I’m just too damn tired to do it tonight. right now except for the personal u-kiss graphics that Neo made for me. And big, heartfelt thanks to everyone who remembered me today! I shan’t forget you when it counts! o.~

And yes, there will be writing this weekend. And when it’s ready to post, you’ll be treated to a new, sexy skin that I know you guys will love! Then, there will be another skin after that! I may also work on Knife of Romance early and treat you to that art, too! 😀
