Beyond Redemption

So, today is the big day. InuGrrrl turns 9 years old (????) and I’m still kinda shocked about it. I totally didn’t expect to still be doing IY stuff all this time later, but I don’t regret a thing, not even the bullshit these nobodies put me through a few years back.

Their douchebaggery actually helped me grow because it strengthened my armor and made me a much more thorough person, which is actually a good thing since we’re always surrounded by dicks in life. lol. But it also taught me how to choose my friends wisely; everyone who is still in my life right now are cherished because they are, were, and will always be, the real.

Anyway, enough sentimental stuff! I’m hoping to update today and post a new skin for you guys, so I need to get to it. The chapter, as I warned in my last entry, will be really short. Sorry, but it makes life easier for me and I guess a short update is better than none, yeah? Thanks for the patience and I really hope I can eventually finish a few stories for you guys before I shut the door.

I probably didn’t mention this before, but I hurt my shoulder last week sometime. I don’t even know how. I just woke up one day, and from that day on, my shoulder has been seriously painful with limited movement at the rotator cuff. To top it off, my doctor is on vacation. So, I haven’t been writing much -sorry- but the good news is that I’ve been feeling a bit better (found some exercises on YT that are helping a bit), so I’ll attempt a bit of writing and see how it goes.

In other fun news, I watched Sherlock (the BBC show) and it’s brilliant. I wasn’t too interested in watching it until I finally owned my crush on “Khan” from Star Trek: Into Darkness (Benedict Cumberbatch), but I’m so glad I did. If you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favor and do so. All of the available seasons are on Netflix. It’s rapid-fire, witty, and just fucking fun. If you haven’t seen the newest Star Trek, hurry up and see that, too. I’ve seen it 4 times already and love it a little more each time (Saw the first one in 2009 a whopping 14 times, so yeah. I’m a bit of a trekkie). (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

I just adore Khan to fucking pieces. So much so, it rivaled -and almost surpassed- my love for Zachary Quinto’s Spock (whom I love to no end!). Those green-blue eyes and those lovely cheekbones… (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)

I also started watching Breaking Bad (finally). I just wasn’t that interested (even though I love the “Malcolm in the Middle” dad), but I finished the first season in 2 days and it’s good. Sad at times, funny at times, but good and it really makes science look cool (Not the drugs and shit, but the other stuff the character shows us along the way). Educational insanity. Ha.

So, anyway, I’ll post an update when I can. Just didn’t want y’all to think I forgot about it. (^_^)b

In other news, I’ll be done with my update later today, I think. I haven’t updated this one in a while, but since it will be complete soon, I’m trying to get those last few chapters tied up. My goal is to get some of the minor stories finished so I can put all my time into the ones that just started (Like FToP and IIWT) and the ones that are ‘fan faves’ like GFE and MPR, which still have several chapters to go. I’m thinking about polishing off a super old one, too, that is very near completion. I’ve lost all interest in it, but for the sake of ending it properly, I’m considering finishing off the last two chapters (Or making one big chapter). No promises; I’d have to pretty much read the whole thing again in order to find my footing, and it may end up feeling rushed, but it’s a possibility.

I have seasonal allergies. They’re adult onset and they suck. I usually get itchy eyes, sneezing, that kind of thing. We had a really mild winter in NYC, so a lot of stuff that should have died didn’t, thus making this abnormally hot summer feel like the farthest corner of Hades. I haven’t had a lot of eye issues, but the sneezing, and the fucking stuffy nose is doing me in. I can barely breathe and I’m miserable as FUCK.

I have bouts of insomnia from time to time. When it comes, it’s bad. I’ve had about 9 hours of sleep in the last 72 hours and it hasn’t ebbed yet. I’m gonna drop if I’m not careful, so I’m going to cheat and buy some sleep aids later today. I need a full night’s fucking sleep already, cause needless to say, I’m a fucking BITCH when I’m tired and I have no energy.

I haven’t done much writing. I’ve been RL busy and just not feeling like it even though I do feel like it. Weird, huh? Certain stories have been bugging me to be written, but I don’t know… I’m not good at making myself actually do it. >.> Gonna work on that today, though. Oddly, I write at my best when I’m tired (no idea why), but not too tired, which is why I need sleep. I won’t promise an update this weekend, but I do promise to get some writing done and to post as soon as possible.

Ordered myself some new art (aside from the stuff that I recently received), but I won’t be getting it for a couple of weeks, so nothing to report. But I’ll drop a hint: One will be for Absolution and full of bishie goodness! I also bought my Neo some art for her birthday. I’d like to post it to my gallery, but I don’t think I will mainly because it’s hers and it was a private commission (all of my comms are. I don’t want my works shared unless I share them) and I want her to do what she wants with it. So I’ll just say that it’s Inu and Sess looking yummy!

And my Kau sent another box from Louisiana! I collect Hello Kitty stuff, so she sent me the coolest HK luncbox with collectible pez dispensers and a cute lil HK toothbrush, and HK ramune (Japanese soda). WAH! \o/ Chocolate-covered macadamia nuts, 200 migraine pills (Excedrin seems to have gone out of business and they were the only pills that would calm my migraines, but this stuff she sent me works, too!) and other goodies. Kau rocks.

Okay, I’m gonna make my caramel iced coffee (with whipped cream!) and write a little. I have someplace to go this afternoon, so I want to get a bit of prose in before that. Wish me luck!

I Feel Loved! xD

This was a super-fucking-awesome birthday. It really was and I didn’t even do much today. I spent a good deal of the day with Kau online and thanking all the awesome people who remembered and acknowledged my day. What an honor! So, thank you guys so much. I really appreciate it! <333 I also got some really GREAT gifts and I was so surprised and happy!! Shall I share? Yeah, I think I will! 😛 My kau sent me a goodie box from Louisiana that contained caramel monkey bread, white chocolate truffles, tons of candy, a set of Hello Kitty figurines from Japan, TWO Daryl action figures (from The Walking Dead), TWO Kevin Woo videos (SQUEE!), and some cute and funny art. However, the art is private and I won't be displaying it anywhere. That's why she's my best Kau -she rocks!! My awesome sister, Neo, had a Human -canon- InuYasha commissioned for me and it's so cute! The artist did really well, especially with the background. She also made me a bunch of Kevin graphics and I FUCKING LOVE THEM! WAAAAAH!!!!ONEONE! My totally BEAST little sister, Am, got me an iTunes GC and made me a killer wallpaper of guess who?! KEVIN WOO -INUYASHA- ZERO KIRYUU!!!!!! \o/ To say I screamed and bounced around like a child is an understatement. Those are the 3 guys I love the most, so I’m pretty damn stoked! She knows my passion!!

The sweet and talented, Cati-Art, Blackorchid2007, and InuKagomeluvrs, and Moniquiu all made me these GORGEOUS Human InuYasha piccies that I just ADORE!! All three are just too cute and sexy. WAAAH! Love them!

My wonderfully talented nee-chan gave me the gift of coloring my Knife of Romance lineart that Sarah created, and oh yeeeeeeeeah. You guys are gonna like what you see! *slurp*

Over at Deviant Art, aside from the giftart, I got some cake badges, llamas, and a bunch of birthday well wishes from my buds and watchers. Same at Facebook -and it was really nice to be remembered.

As a gift to myself, I got a dozen cupcakes from my favorite bakery on EARTH. Wanna check ’em out? This’ll do you no good if you don’t live in New York City, though. 😛 Sugar Sweet Sunshine . Their pistachio cupcakes are to DIE for. *drool*

I also got U-KISS’ latest CD (you’re hearing one of the new songs now), which was one of the best gifts ever! I even learned all the Japanese lyrics to “Forbidden Love” -my favorite U-KISS song to date! <3 And last, but not least, I finally treated myself to an iPod Touch. I had a classic all this time and never really considered switching since it works perfectly. But I changed my mind and it's an awesome little device. But again, this is Apple. Of course it's awesome! xD Mhmm. The day was pretty fucking awesome. \(^o^)/ I'll be posting all my gifts to the gallery tomorrow because I’m just too damn tired to do it tonight. right now except for the personal u-kiss graphics that Neo made for me. And big, heartfelt thanks to everyone who remembered me today! I shan’t forget you when it counts! o.~

Yeah, been MIA for a little minute and thought I’d do an update. First off, the writing hasn’t been happening. I admit that I haven’t felt like it. I’ve been in a funk since before Kau’s birthday and I haven’t been able to do much. Sorry about that, as I know you guys have been reviewing faithfully (well, a good bit of you), and I hate letting y’all down. But I just haven’t had it in me and there’s no point in hiding it. But that’s not to say that it won’t gear back up. Sometimes it takes me a little longer than others to get over something, but I do get over it and get my shit together eventually.

To everyone who thinks I was in the dumps because of negative feedback on If I Want To, I need to clear that up. No one has ever given me any negative feedback on that story whatsoever. You oughta know that when it comes to that kinda thing my skin is thick after 6 years of bullshit from lame bitches. No, I was upset for an entirely different reason, but still connected to the story. So, get that idea out of your heads.

Speaking of, it seems to be winning the latest poll. But I kinda knew it would. WAH, do y’all hate my yaoi?! LOL. Kidding -I know my core audience isn’t into boylove. I am, though, and been reading it like a fish in water all week! I’m totally digging Ootsuki Miu’s stuff. Deliciously smutty. <3 Anyway, I do plan to seriously start writing either tonight or tomorrow. I'm messing with KeiChanz's giftie that I'm MEGA late on, and If I Want To (that may come out first). I also plan on working with The Neighbor. I didn’t mean to allow the hiatus on that to last this long (Sorry!). But it’s nowhere near dead, so no worries. Wonderfully evil Yasha will be back!

On the commission front, I got the latest one for If I Want To and it’s cute. I wouldn’t say it’s badass on the level of what I have ready for Money.Power.Respect., but it’s sweet and will probably be a skin. Let’s just say, it epitomizes a certain group. o.~

At this rate, I’ll have a pic for most of my fics (The chapter fics, that is).

And Kau sent me a gift box full of goodies! She lives in the south, so they have stuff that I don’t have here in NYC. Therefore, she sends me the GOOD SHIT! I have so much milk candy, pie, pralines, specially flavored granola, panda pocky, Louisiana sausage, red beans and rice, Ooey Gooey cakes -the works. BFFS ARE THE ULTIMATE AWESOME!

Of course, she’s also going crazy about this hurricane stuff. I’m not scared about it. I don’t know, maybe it’s because we really don’t get that sort of thing here, but I’m just not worried. I didn’t even feel the earth quake when it hit, lol. But I acknowledge that precautions should be taken (Happy, kau?! >.>). Is this the start of the hyped up 2012? I mean, earth quakes in Manhattan? Wut?

And my love of k-pop is growing more every day. I really enjoy their music (probably because it’s so heavily influenced by American R&B/African-American artists) and have been listening to it almost exclusively for the last 3-4 weeks. It still shocks me that so many who like j-pop won’t give k-pop a chance because they’re too stuck on Japan (<– that’s a legit response to a question I asked) or feel like some sort of loyalty will be broken if they do. o.O Dude, we listen to music with our ears, not our eyes. I don’t care who made it -if it sounds good, I’m going to keep on listening. I’ve honestly never heard of something as weird as denying a form of music based on the nationality of the ones who made it. I was always taught that music was universal, a “language” known and enjoyed by everyone, regardless. Sure, certain things don’t grab us -like how I dislike Jazz- but I dislike the form of music, not the people who make it, and that dislike isn’t based on color or nationality, but on the lousy beat. I like goth, industrial, alternative, rock, metal, k-pop, j-pop, salsa, dance, trance, hell, even some gospel. I like every-damn-thing and it has nothing to do with WHO created it. Seriously, is that the new form of discrimination? SMH And if you’re interested, I’ve got an all k-pop playlist going on at Absolution. Check them out -they’re really good. In fact, a bunch of Korean artists will be doing a free concert on 10/9/11 on NYC’s Randall’s Island. I’ll probably attend; I wanna see TVXQ and SHINee, who are also on my playlist. 😛 Anyway, a new skin will appear, regardless of what I update (Yeah, they’re piling up, so I gotta start showing them off!), and hopefully I’ll have something for y’all over the weekend.
