Spent the last two days cooking, slightly eating, but mostly trying to recover from stomach trauma.
Bestie sent me a ton of liquor right before the holiday and I made the mistake of drinking coco-creme liquor (mixed with vanilla ice cream and milk — the Kiki mudslide) 3 days in a row and paid for it dearly. I guess I burned through the lining of my tummy (and we’re only talking about one drink each day), so now my days are filled with warm milk and nibbles of food afterward. Apparently, the rumors are true. Warm milk really does “coat” the stomach, allowing the acidic burn and pain to calm down for a few hours. Plus, hot milk with a bit of Splenda tastes delish. So, not super terrible.
I’m feeling a little chipper today, so I’m going to tackle some stories. I have nerve pain on the right side of my body, which likes to play on my ability to type, but I’ve got Vicodin and new compression gloves, so we gon do it anywaaaay~!
And though I’m not sure what will see an update first, I can say that I have several pieces of fanart for the site that have never been posted in all these years (I was waiting for when I create accompanying chapters). So, as updates finally come together, you can look forward to some new IK masterpieces. Nostalgic, huh?
Last, but not least, since 2021 will be Eternal Destiny’s final year, I’m going to be hosting various writing challenges. The first one, “Reindeer Games” has already been posted and I’ll be giving away a funko pop from the IY Universe at the end, so go check it out! Everyone is welcome, even if you think writing isn’t your forte.

And guess what? (Not that y’all care about such things) UKISS is doing an American Tour and NYC is confirmed for January 9th. YUP, your grrrl is going to do everything in her fucking power to go to that show. FTW! There may even be VIP packages. Depending on what’s offered, and what it costs, I may go full monty. I mean, how many times in my life will I see Kevin in person?
And in other news, UKISS has a new album and video (I already have both). My boys look yummy (Though I’m not loving those high pants and bright shoes >.>). Kevin is gorgeous, as always, and I’m loving that Rolls Royce with the suicide doors! It’s been a hard few months for my boys. The youngest member (called a “maknae”), Dongho, left the group 2 weeks ago after a lot of absences and negotiations with the managers and everyone is taking the news hard. He said he wanted a normal life and ended all of his celebrity commitments, but the boys -and the fans- are hoping he’ll change his mind (doubtful). However, the show must go on and they came out swinging. This is a UKISS no one has seen before and I’m loving it! ೖ(σ̑˽σ̑)ೖ

In fanfiction news, sorry, guys, but I haven’t been writing at all. I just haven’t felt like it, and when I do, the spurts of inspiration have been fading before I can even put pen to paper. I feel bad; you’ve been waiting a long time for the next wave and it hasn’t come. I hope this doesn’t last. I’m okay with not writing anymore. I’m probably over it completely, but I’m not okay with completely disappointing you guys. That’s why I’m hoping that the drought ends soon and I can get back to entertaining the lovelies. Sigh.
Happy Mother’s Day to my lovelies and their moms. It’s times like this when I really miss my mom and grandma, but… I’ll live. Didn’t sleep very much at all, and “Aunt Flo” paid me a visit very early in the morning, so yeah, not a great day. Got no writing done, and I’m in an overall icky mood, but yeah. Hope yours is better and you’re enjoying the day with your families.
EDIT: Look what my friend (the only who’s been sick) got for me! The Godiva is filled with handpicked chocolates -all of my faves- and my favorite regular candies in Valentine versions. (I don’t even want to ask what that must have cost him!). Squee!
In other news, I’ll be done with my update later today, I think. I haven’t updated this one in a while, but since it will be complete soon, I’m trying to get those last few chapters tied up. My goal is to get some of the minor stories finished so I can put all my time into the ones that just started (Like FToP and IIWT) and the ones that are ‘fan faves’ like GFE and MPR, which still have several chapters to go. I’m thinking about polishing off a super old one, too, that is very near completion. I’ve lost all interest in it, but for the sake of ending it properly, I’m considering finishing off the last two chapters (Or making one big chapter). No promises; I’d have to pretty much read the whole thing again in order to find my footing, and it may end up feeling rushed, but it’s a possibility.
This is quite late since it’s after 7pm here, but Happy Memorial Day to our vets and their families. As someone who is PRO military, I appreciate the sacrifices you’ve made for this country and its people (even though many couldn’t care less about what you’ve gone through to ensure the freedoms they take for granted). I hope you all had a great weekend! <3
Now, on a personal note...
I'm super excited because I'm going to see Snow White and the Huntsman on Thursday for a midnight screening. \o/ I like Charlize Theron a lot (she is gorgeous), so I really want to see her play the wicked witch. I’m loving her black outfit in this thing (and that milk bath? wah!). Unfortunately, I’ll have to sit through Twilight girl as well, but that’s a small price to pay to see Charlize. I just hate that we ALL know how this thing will end. >.> Oh, and seeing Thor is an added bonus.

Ahem. Anyway, I’m stoked for Thursday! I also did more writing yesterday. I didn’t like it, but Kau loved it (I always give her “advanced screenings”) and she says I’m too hard on myself. Yeah, probably, but I tend to hate struggling. -___- So when I do, I automatically don’t like the results because it didn’t come easily to me. *grumble* But I’m gonna stop caring about that because I need to write something or I never will.
I say that a lot, but it’s true. I’m at a point now where I can go days upon days without even thinking about writing. NOT GOOD. So I’m forcing myself to write a little bit everyday, even if it’s a few lines, ya know? Believe me, it would be all too easy to never lift my pen again because I have no interest in it anymore, but I made a promise to my loyal lovelies, so for you, I’m going to keep trying until if it kills me.
Speaking of writing! I must give monster thanks to everyone who has left such kind reviews for me over the last few weeks. Especially those who’ve been rereading the “classics” and reminding me of how much fun this used to be for me. I so appreciated that. You have no idea… <3
In all honesty, I miss how much I loved InuYasha and writing his stories. He'll always be a part of who I am because he let me "spread my wings", so to speak. That's why I can't just let his "pulp-fiction" go without proper send offs. I just hope it's something I can accomplish before all the words disappear.
Okay, enough depressing shit! Your Grrrl is turning 7 on June 16th, so I'll expect my lovelies to pop by the site that day to see the celebratory skin and say what's up because it will be Absolution's 6th birthday as well. Who knows, I may even be giving a few literary gifts to those who have waited so long... ^____^
