Beyond Redemption

Yeah, so, picking up where I left off is so much harder than anticipated. I remember all of my stories, and re-reading past chapters helps me remember the details (Because, really, I’m not a note-taker. I go according to memory and what’s in my head atm), but it’s the execution that kills me, lol. That, and the fact that my passion for this isn’t the same, AND I never liked my own writing to begin with (But my readers always knew that… I think). LOL.

Seriously, I can’t promise anyone “greatness” or even enjoyment >____> but at least I’m trying. *shrug* It’s the best I can do. Part of me wants to just start something new from scratch, but I’m fighting against that. Anyone still visiting Absolution, reading the old works, hoping for closure deserves that much. So, that’s what I’ll try to do.

It’s mah birfday and my friends and family have been extra sweet! I got two prettyful cakes, an entire box of goodies from Japan, courtesy of my bestie, a bunch of kpop presents (since I have a few faves now), an iTunes GC, money, lunch and dinner from my favorite restaurants, and of course, a ton of birthday well wishes. Sigh. <3 It never ceases to amaze me how much I am loved and thought of (Hey, it's a big deal for an only child like me who has such a small biological family), so I want to sy a massive thank you to everyone who remembered me today. You guys enrich my life with your presence and thoughtfulness. <333 The plan was to have an update ready, but I've been having a bad stint with colds lately. I caught another a few days ago and haven't finished writing anything because of it. I do want to try and get something out this week, though, so bear with me. Sucks that it probably won't be today, though. Ugh. On another note, picking up fanfic again hasn't been easy at all. These updates are gonna suck, lol. Sorry in advance, but at least you know what to expect. I’m past InuYasha now -I know that better than anyone- so you guys are the sole reason why I’m trying. If it were up to me, I would close Absolution permanently, but I owe it to you guys to try one last time. But I must warn that this attempt to rein in will probably be my last. I don’t want to feed y’all stuff that I don’t feel is worth reading -that does neither of us any good- so let’s hope for the best. 😛

So, today is the big day. InuGrrrl turns 9 years old (????) and I’m still kinda shocked about it. I totally didn’t expect to still be doing IY stuff all this time later, but I don’t regret a thing, not even the bullshit these nobodies put me through a few years back.

Their douchebaggery actually helped me grow because it strengthened my armor and made me a much more thorough person, which is actually a good thing since we’re always surrounded by dicks in life. lol. But it also taught me how to choose my friends wisely; everyone who is still in my life right now are cherished because they are, were, and will always be, the real.

Anyway, enough sentimental stuff! I’m hoping to update today and post a new skin for you guys, so I need to get to it. The chapter, as I warned in my last entry, will be really short. Sorry, but it makes life easier for me and I guess a short update is better than none, yeah? Thanks for the patience and I really hope I can eventually finish a few stories for you guys before I shut the door.

Hey BBs!!

Just a quickie. I’m feeling a lot better. Almost normal. Had some tests done this week and I have an MRI next week to confirm my doc’s suspicions, but otherwise, I’m feeling pretty okay after being nearly crippled for almost a month. It sucked balls, trust me on that! I’m going to be taking it easy (I don’t want a relapse >.>), but yeah, I’m doing okay now. ♡＾▽＾♡

That means I’ll be writing again (Yeah, I know you guys are sick of waiting. Heh.). Not sure when I’ll post, but I’m working on at least one update before I start Fan Month, so make sure you vote in the poll if you haven’t already. I’m tentatively thinking of kicking it off on April 1st, provided I’m still feeling healthy and up to the job. Either way, there will be an announcement when I have a date.

Being ill delayed InuGrrrl [dot] Net v. 5.0 and I never got to post a new skin for you guys on my birthday, so expect both of those in the next few days. After all, there must be an “Absolution InuYasha 2014“, right?? (ﾉ´ヮ´)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Just a little update for the people who peek at this blog.

1. I’m feeling slightly better. I’ve got some scary medical shit going on and tomorrow I take a CT scan just to make sure all is as it should be. I’ve been putting it off for a while, but decided to just do it and get it over with so I can relax again. Then, I see my doc to complain about what almost sent me to the ER on my birthday. All of this sucks infinite ass, but as long as I’m alive… heh.

2. I had a really great birthday, despite being so sick. I have amazing friends who gave me awesome fucking gifts like GCs to iTunes and Amazon, gorgeous artwork, graphics, and countless birthday wishes. I got a big awesome, vanilla birthdaycake, too with lots of thick, sugary frosting! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Then, there’s my Kau who always manages to give me exactly the things that I want most. She’s been showering me with gifts all month, including two UKISS clothing albums that I wanted, a super adorable Hello Kitty coin bank, a Hello Kitty Jelly bean candy holder and just… ack. So. Much. Stuff. She’s amazeballs and the bestest friend I could ever ask for. I’ll be posting my goodies this week, starting today so you can drop by the gallery throughout the week to get a look. (｡^_^｡ )人( ｡^.^｡) <--Besties!♡ 3. The worst shit happened. lol. I had a dream last night about a plot I've been wanting to rework for a new story, came up with something I really wanted to write, and I guess my subconscious knew it because I managed to force myself awake... and guess what? I CAN’T REMEMBER THE FUCKING DETAILS. ARGH.

4. I made a batch of Rice Krispies treats -and they gave me heartburn. WTF? (」ﾟﾛﾟ)｣

There ya have it, 4 new developments. lol. I’m going to try to do some writing today, but I wouldn’t count on my posting anything until the weekend because I have doc appts to contend with and that tends to blank my mind of anything else, understandably.

I’m having such a nice week! One of my newest lovelies, Angie (Angie22) was kind enough to draw some fanart for me based on my stories! I’m a sucker for artwork, but giftart??? o((*^▽^*))o What an honor! So go check it out! ^^

I have some work to do for ED, but once that’s done, I’ll work on some updates. I’m hoping I can get the words to cooperate for me again and bang out more than one. （-＾〇＾-）

I just got back the cutest artsie from my Sarah-Belle! Remember Camp Destiny, the oneshot (Though I may add flashfic “adventures” to it down the line) I wrote about the IY “kiddies”? A specific -and very cute- scene happened in that one and Sarah made a little recreation for me. I’ll try and post it with the story in a day or so. It’s super adorbs. ^^

I probably didn’t mention this before, but I hurt my shoulder last week sometime. I don’t even know how. I just woke up one day, and from that day on, my shoulder has been seriously painful with limited movement at the rotator cuff. To top it off, my doctor is on vacation. So, I haven’t been writing much -sorry- but the good news is that I’ve been feeling a bit better (found some exercises on YT that are helping a bit), so I’ll attempt a bit of writing and see how it goes.

In other fun news, I watched Sherlock (the BBC show) and it’s brilliant. I wasn’t too interested in watching it until I finally owned my crush on “Khan” from Star Trek: Into Darkness (Benedict Cumberbatch), but I’m so glad I did. If you haven’t seen it, do yourself a favor and do so. All of the available seasons are on Netflix. It’s rapid-fire, witty, and just fucking fun. If you haven’t seen the newest Star Trek, hurry up and see that, too. I’ve seen it 4 times already and love it a little more each time (Saw the first one in 2009 a whopping 14 times, so yeah. I’m a bit of a trekkie). (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

I just adore Khan to fucking pieces. So much so, it rivaled -and almost surpassed- my love for Zachary Quinto’s Spock (whom I love to no end!). Those green-blue eyes and those lovely cheekbones… (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿)

I also started watching Breaking Bad (finally). I just wasn’t that interested (even though I love the “Malcolm in the Middle” dad), but I finished the first season in 2 days and it’s good. Sad at times, funny at times, but good and it really makes science look cool (Not the drugs and shit, but the other stuff the character shows us along the way). Educational insanity. Ha.

So, anyway, I’ll post an update when I can. Just didn’t want y’all to think I forgot about it. (^_^)b
