Beyond Redemption

I haven’t posted anything here since March and my site’s been shut down all this time. But I’m still alive~ I haven’t been interested in writing at all. I think I’ve been away too long. Ugh. I don’t even think my readers (the majority, anyway) are even still with me, but in the event that they are, Absolution is open.

Honestly, I almost didn’t reopen. I knew that writing was next to impossible now and just was going to leave it closed forever, despite renewing my domain for another year. But my girls on FB gave me a nudge (they’ve been missing my crap), so I took the padlocks off the door. I’m even about to make an honest to God effort to write something.

I can’t warn you enough that it will be PURE CRAP because I haven’t done shit in centuries and basically forgot how to IY completely, but a try is a try, right? I wanted to do something for you guys on my birthday, but obviously, that didn’t work out. Sorry. Ugh.

I’ve also fallen off the earth with my friends. Sorry, compadres! I’m alive, and owe all of you so much mail… but you’re never far from my heart. ～♡ Hope everyone is doing well!

And to my readers, I heart you nuts, and will not blame you at all if you’ve bounced by now. We all outgrow stuff -like fanfic- and it doesn’t help that I don’t update -haha. But we’ve had years of fun, so I will remember you all fondly.

It’s mah birfday and my friends and family have been extra sweet! I got two prettyful cakes, an entire box of goodies from Japan, courtesy of my bestie, a bunch of kpop presents (since I have a few faves now), an iTunes GC, money, lunch and dinner from my favorite restaurants, and of course, a ton of birthday well wishes. Sigh. <3 It never ceases to amaze me how much I am loved and thought of (Hey, it's a big deal for an only child like me who has such a small biological family), so I want to sy a massive thank you to everyone who remembered me today. You guys enrich my life with your presence and thoughtfulness. <333 The plan was to have an update ready, but I've been having a bad stint with colds lately. I caught another a few days ago and haven't finished writing anything because of it. I do want to try and get something out this week, though, so bear with me. Sucks that it probably won't be today, though. Ugh. On another note, picking up fanfic again hasn't been easy at all. These updates are gonna suck, lol. Sorry in advance, but at least you know what to expect. I’m past InuYasha now -I know that better than anyone- so you guys are the sole reason why I’m trying. If it were up to me, I would close Absolution permanently, but I owe it to you guys to try one last time. But I must warn that this attempt to rein in will probably be my last. I don’t want to feed y’all stuff that I don’t feel is worth reading -that does neither of us any good- so let’s hope for the best. 😛

Not sure how many of my lovelies are still around -because I’ve been on a hella hiatus- but for those who are, you can expect to hear something from me soon. My birthday is coming up, and I always try to update on that day, so this time is no exception. Please don’t expect awesomeness because you’re not gonna get it. lol. Hey, just being honest! I haven’t written shit in ages, so I’m rusty and nothing will feel right, but it’s better than never writing for you guys again, right?

And it’s fucking FREEZING in New York. Fuck me, it’s insane. So I’m probably keeping my ass home all weekend, and with that time, I will concentrate on putting an update together… or two. Let’s play it by ear. I don’t want to make any promises Can’t say which story it will be, either. Most likely whatever doesn’t give me a headache, but I’ll do my best under the circumstances. You guys will get to see a new skin, too, since there are a few that you haven’t seen yet. 0.~

P.S. Have you guys been watching Empire? Hot damn that show is my shit!

Don’t know who even checks this thing anymore, but I’m still alive. Been a little sick lately and just hating everything (as usual). Having comp trouble, too, but hopefully, that will work itself out. Anyway, a few things.

1. For some stupid reason, anyone who tries to mail me from Absolution with a yahoo address gets slapped into my server’s spam mail. So don’t think you mailed me and I totally igged you. I’m just not getting the messages. Had I not decided to actually look at the spam instead of deleting on auto, I never would have known this shit was happening. (Steph, I’m looking at you. :P) Anyway, yahoo people, use the direct address: my username at gmail.

2. I haven’t written shit. Like, seriously, and I honestly don’t know when I will. I’d like to, but the mood isn’t there. Sorry for fucking up your promised updates. I suck, I know it, but I’d rather not serve a plate than serve shit >.> and you’d definitely get shit right now because my head isn’t in the right place. Not saying this is it forever -it’ll come back, it usually does- but it will take a minute.

3. Throughout the weekend and coming week I’ll try to catch up on e-mails and reviews (I still always, always appreciate the words of support. Even if my writing is screwed right now, it’s always motivating to hear that the work is appreciated and missed. <3) and on the 27th I'm going to see Coheed & Cambria (yes, again!). It will be, like, the 15th time I’ve seen them in concert. CAN HARDLY WAAAAIT.

Hey Lovelies! 

It’s been a zillion years since I last posted on my blog. Sorry about that. This summer is just… sigh. Busy. I have some personal stuff going on and work stuffs and no kinda time in general. That should change once fall hits , though. I’m also off this weekend, so I’m going to do my best to put out a short chapter of something. I know I still have specific fics you guys voted to see, but TBH, I’m going to need to go with whichever story cooperates right now.

If you mailed me and I haven’t responded, please don’t take that personally. I’m just pressed for time to really sit down and write lengthy responses. I will when I get a chance, of course, but that could take a while. However, I want to thank you guys for dropping me a line and as well as leaving me so many nice reviews. I say this a lot, but you have no idea how motivating it is to know that there are people who still want to read my shit. lol. It makes me feel like the effort I put in (Because, at this stage in my disinterest, it’s definitely an effort to write) is appreciated.

Anyway, again, I can only submit small chapters these days, so bear with it. And, as always, if I’m inspired to pen more, I will.

I’m MIA a lot -summmertime is busy for me, and this summer, more than usual- but I’m still around. Thanks for all the review love. I always appreciate it. I have a few days to myself coming up and hope to do some writing. Don’t really feel like it, TBH, but I did say that I would try to finish some things for y’all, so I’m giving it a shot.

Again, chapters will be short and that isn’t going to change, so lots of cookies to everyone who supported my decision in reviews.You realize that it’s extremely hard for me to write about things that don’t interest me much anymore and that any effort put forth is solely for you, instead of the few who -I know- don’t seem to get it. You make doing something I find a chore a lot more tolerable. <3 So, that’s it for now. I’ll get a chapter up as soon as I can.

My hands are acting up, so I’m not replying to individual reviews right now. It’s just easier for me to leave a message that everyone can see here.

First, thank you so much for all the kind reviews and well wishes. It’s been a wild 9 years, but I don’t regret a thing, not even getting carpal tunnel. Everything happened for a reason, and in the end, I wrote the time of my life -hehe- and met many great people. Thanks for acknowledging my contribution to this fandom.

Second, no, I’m not done yet. Being able to pen a chapter that I didn’t hate >.> was the sign I needed to continue on. I can’t say it will be fast updates, but you will get chapters, beginning with the ones you were promised in May (Argh. So sorry about that!). Once I get those last few done, I’ll spin the wheel and start doing random updates on the fics I plan to complete. Again, they will be short, and they won’t be lightening quick, but I promise to keep writing until I can close some doors for you guys.

Okay, I’m out! How about some IY? It’s been a while…

So, today is the big day. InuGrrrl turns 9 years old (????) and I’m still kinda shocked about it. I totally didn’t expect to still be doing IY stuff all this time later, but I don’t regret a thing, not even the bullshit these nobodies put me through a few years back.

Their douchebaggery actually helped me grow because it strengthened my armor and made me a much more thorough person, which is actually a good thing since we’re always surrounded by dicks in life. lol. But it also taught me how to choose my friends wisely; everyone who is still in my life right now are cherished because they are, were, and will always be, the real.

Anyway, enough sentimental stuff! I’m hoping to update today and post a new skin for you guys, so I need to get to it. The chapter, as I warned in my last entry, will be really short. Sorry, but it makes life easier for me and I guess a short update is better than none, yeah? Thanks for the patience and I really hope I can eventually finish a few stories for you guys before I shut the door.

My best friend sent this to me, timed it so that I’d get it on my anniversary. Just how awesome is she?

So, I wanted to apologize for bombing fan month again (epically, at that). I really struggled to write GFE (I just wasn’t inspired and I forced it), so I was unhappy with the outcome, but had no choice because it was like blood from a turnip. To add to my abject annoyance, someone left a comment/rating that pissed me off and killed whatever was left of my drive to even bother. Updating is beyond hell for me now and I only do it for you guys. If I were the sole factor in this thing, I would have closed my site already. I’m past InuYasha, and just about done altogether with writing, so her shit did not help.

In short, one person ruined everything for everyone.

That said, I really appreciate all of the positive and encouraging reviews you guys have been leaving. I’m working a lot right now and not online as much, so I haven’t replied to them all yet, but knowing that you still enjoy the work is the greatest gift for a 9-year vet.

Yup, on June 16th, “InuGrrrl” turns 9. Really hard to believe, huh? We’ve been through battles! I didn’t think I’d still have my site or still be writing after so long, but here we are -even though I’m not really writing….

Anyway, I wanted to thank you guys for all the love and patience. I can’t promise you great updates, or that I will finish all my stories. I can only promise to try. Updates will come, but they will be short. REALLY SHORT. We’re talking 3,000 words at the very most (aka, what just about everyone else writes, lol). It’s the only way I can update without making myself crazy. I think that trying to give you at least 4-5k is just too much for the uninspired me. If I’m feeling a chapter and can go longer, I definitely will, but please don’t expect anything past 3k.

I also want to thank the lovely Angie22 for a beautiful surprise fanart! She enjoys The Neighbor (like many of you) and drew a fantastic story-inspired pic for it. Go see it and love on it. Art inspires me, so who knows, you guys may get that update yet!

I’ve been busy lately -busier than usual. I have work stuff going on and haven’t had time to try writing. It all kinda hit unexpectedly, but I’ve got some free time this week, so I’m going to try and get a chapter out. Not sure which, but it will be one of the ones you guys voted on. UGH, Fan Month is a curse, lol. Something always happens when I try it!

But anyway, the only fics I’m working on ATM will be the ones that were voted on. I want to get those out first -if I can- then I’ll see about the others. I have definitely moved on from IY fanfic, which sucks since I have so many things I want to do for you guys, but while I’m not really in it anymore, I’m still going to attempt to finish a few things before I pack it in.

I haven’t gotten a chance to read the reviews you guys have left recently, but I’ll be doing that this week as well. And big thanks to the lovelie who sent me the letter of thanks and appreciation (I won’t name names for privacy’s sake). It means a lot to know that through all the insanity, my little fanworks made someone genuinely happy. (｡´ ‿｀♡)
