Beyond Redemption

The Placebo concert was absolutely awesome. Hands down. They didn’t just play songs from the new CD (which sounded so great live that I ended up enjoying them), but they played a lot of my faves and I genuinely had a ball. I went with my friend who got us into the seated VIP area, which gave us a great view and allowed us to get some great fancams.

In other news, the very next day, my friend was hospitalized again. He was able to come home on Friday, but chances are that Sunday or Monday he’ll be readmitted. It’s not anything super serious; they want to try new meds on him and would prefer to do so at the hospital so they can see how his body reacts to them before sending him home. It was a surprise, though, and kinda threw things out of wack for me.

My arms are better. I’m taking those supplements that deal with nerves (Carpal and cubital is all nerve pain) and I do see some improvement. I’m hoping in coming weeks the pain dwindles down enough to where it doesn’t hurt daily like it does now.

Anyway, I’ll be writing tonight now that I have a little more mobility (and painkillers). Don’t expect greatness. With so much going on, my mind hasn’t been on the words like it should be, but I’ll see what I can do. 0.~

I really needed to clean Onna’s fic, so that’s what I did over the last few days. Since it was complete, and a novella, I wanted to make it presentable ’cause it was seriously messy. Now, it’s clean and neat. I’d like to do that with several fics, but I’ve written so much over the years that I’d be doing that shit forever. >.> Anyway, I’ll be working on other stories now that that’s out of the way.

Depeche Mode was fun, but I wasn’t wild about the set list. They did a lot of songs from the new CD, which I’m not really feeling. I made a few fan cams, but will only share one that I uploaded to YT. It’s unlisted, so it’s not really available to the masses.

My cam is a bit fuzzy ’cause I was 2 levels from the floor, and people kept bumping my arm, making me screw up, but at least you’d get an idea of what I saw. Heh.

And this is the front of the Barclays Center, filled with DM fans. It’s a real monstrosity…

The opening act was “Bat For Lashes”, which seems to be just one chick. She has a nice voice (I checked her out before I went to the concert). She had a very simple set, but like I said, she has a nice voice. The song playing now, “All Your Gold”, is hers. She has a real ‘Sarah McLachlan’ feel to her. This is a nice one, too (ignore the weird video).

I wanted to have this chapter finished by yesterday, but it was just a bad day. You know the kind when everything, EVERYTHING is wrong, so you just STOP because you’ll kill everything in sight if you don’t. >.>

But I don’t have a lot to do today (Thank God, ’cause I hate Mondays) and I’m gonna devote it to getting this finished. It won’t be great, but it will get done by tonight. Sorry for the massive delay. But the good news is that once I’m finished with it, I’ll be working on things I’m sure you guys wanna see -like Knife of Romance. The art is ready, which is what I was waiting for, and I’ll also be showing you the art I had made for that completed fic I mentioned. I wanted to show it to you guys on my birthday, but meh. I’d prefer you come to Absolution for a real reason -like an update- and not just to see some art.

Gonna work on some old stuff, too, and did I mention that The Neighbor is also getting new art? It should be finished any day now and you guys will get a kick out of it. ^___^ Yes, that also means a new chapter will be in the works shortly. I’ve decided that the second list of stories I want to update will probably be altered. I don’t want to waste a lot of time on stories that are kicking my ass (hence why MPR is not done). If it comes, I’ll write it. If it doesn’t, I’m just gonna give you guys something else. I’m way behind, so I don’t want to spend an eternity on something troublesome.

Okay, need to check mail and that sorta thing then I’ll get started. Hopefully, I’ll have it ready a bit earlier than tonight. No promises, though.

And new music alert! I heard this song on a TV commercial, believe it or not, and it’s great. The music more so than the lyrics. Check the music during the chorus. The sound is just -wow. Hear it here. It’s called “Too Close” and the artist is Alex Clare.

The annual birthday fic isn’t happening, folks. Not unless I get an 11th hour idea. I just haven’t been inspired to write my usual smut. Kinda blows since it’s tradition, but what can I say? MPR probably won’t be done today, either. I’ve had quite a bit to do the last 2 days and it broke into my writing time. Otherwise, I might have pulled something together by now. I still may work on it today since it’s raining and my travel plans look like they might be blown, but no promises.

The member list will become accessible by Sunday, I think. But the site won’t be locked right away. You’ll have time to get your passwords, request membership if you must, review (so that you can possibly make the list) and all that sorta thing. But there are instructions for doing all that, so visit Absolution to get them. Unless you don’t give a shit -then you can ignore everything I just said and, well, it’s been a slice. I’m loving on the new U-KISS album >.> and can’t believe I’ve become such a fangirl in a matter of months. This whole thing started with me hearing a J-pop song on a manga site I was visiting (Kat Tun’s D-Motion). I loved it, hunted it down, then started listening to a couple of groups. At that same site, I heard a K-pop song, “No More Perfume on You“, adored that, then hunted that down and became a big Teen Top fan.

A short time later, I started hunting down top 100 lists on YT (To hear new songs) and heard so much great K-pop music…. That’s when I discovered U-Kiss’ “Neverland” and loved it so much I think I listened to it everyday for a month (Okay, way more than a month >.>). But I ignored all their other stuff.

I’m just not sure how I started to like Kevin. He was just such a doll in the Neverland video (He does guyliner like no other boy I’ve seen in my life. Beautiful!). But I loved hearing him sing and watching him dance, so I started researching U–Kiss, listening to their older works (and loving them), falling hard for their newer works, and here we are. Massive U-KISS fan! xD When I’m in a mood, all I have to do is hear Kevin sing and dance to my favorites and I’m happy as all get out. It also helps a lot that he’s American born and speaks perfect English. *fangirls a lil more*

Ah, the power of music. I’ve always been a slave to it, write my best works to it, and having pretty Kevin around is just the foam on my latte.

Just wanted to slide in and update you on the happenings real quick (Can you tell I’m trying to stop neglecting my journal? :P). Are you guys enjoying FA Month thus far? Let me know in the new poll!

I can’t say I’m 100% yet -it’s really been a long time since I’ve written anything regularly- but I’m sure you can see that I’m trying my best under the circumstances. Today I’ll be working on another chapter (I took a break yesterday for the sake of my hands. Carpal Tunnel is a fuck nugget) and will try to have it posted in the next day or two. Again, please remember that chapters will be short (short -for me- is about 3500-4500 words). I still have many to update and not a lot of time (Damn that FA month! Should be FA year. :P). And if you like the stories, take a moment to review. Visual confirmation that the effort is appreciated is a motivator, particularly for someone who wouldn’t be doing much of anything if she wasn’t doing it for you. <3 There will be more in the art/skin department, too, and I think your gonna like it. *nod* (Isn't it fun to visit for a new update and get new images as well? I thought so, which is why I saved them for FA Month. After being with me so many years, you guys deserved some fun! ^__^) Okay, I'm out! But before I go, I must rec a band to you guys. They're called "Wolves at the Gate (Name sound familiar? :D). They're a Christian hard rock band and they're amazing. Their lyrics are so deep and the music -OMG (literally!). They’re playing on Absolution right now (Their entire EP, in fact) and you guys really should check them out. Don’t let the “Christian” label deter you -their music is fantastic, and for me, anyway, the fact that they’re God’s sons make the experience even better. Go check ’em at Abi!

I got sick over the weekend. Well, it started on Thursday night and got full blown over the weekend. Coughing, stuffy nose, headaches -all that good shit. I’m not even leaving my house for a while because it’s fucking freezing in NYC and I won’t be able to take it.

In good news, I got a new story off the ground. It’s VERY short and I pretty much know what has to be done in each chapter for a change -yay! It’s for the lovely JessieAngel, one of my watchers at Deviant Art. She, and the always awesome, Nutella (You know her as KeiChanz), won my kiriban so they’re each getting a story. They each chose the basic premise of the plot and I supplied all the rest.

Jessie’s story is called Pas De Deux, a ballet term meaning “Dance of Two”. She wanted a scenario where InuYasha and Kagome are roommates, but she thinks he’s gay. I didn’t have one of those, so I figured, why the hell not? The surrounding story was my idea -love it or hate- but it makes for a chuckle. I’m even trying to set in motion a bit of art for it, so huzzah!

Nutella’s is next (I’m trying to do one at a time instead tackling both and possibly getting stuck), but I don’t want to get into that plot until I actually hammer it down. But it will most likely be a lemon oneshot. I’ve also been working on my little vampire fic that I neglect out the wazoo, but again, I want to concentrate on Jessie’s fic for now and get it completed as soon as possible.

And to round it all out, I have a new love in my life. DJ Tiesto. I’m a person that has never been into “club” music -Trance, house, etc. It was just repetitive bunk for me. But I’m starting to really love some of this stuff, particularly Tiesto. Dutch born, this guy is a DJ extraordinaire! His beats are just awesome, and they’re pretty much the soundtrack to Jessie’s fic. I put him on and just write. One of his songs will actually appear in the story (lyrics), but not until the end, and another will just be mentioned. Of course, there will be downloads, so wait for it. xD

Okay, that’s it for now. I’m halfway done with the next chapter and I want to get the rest written.
