Beyond Redemption

I saw the semi-finished product of my latest fanart. The characters are done, so there’s just the background to handle. It’s for my website, so it’s Yasha and I, but it is AWESOME. I mean, fucking wow. And I’m already planning my next one. I plan to have an entire wall dedicated to just my commissioned art. They’ll be really nice keepsakes for the future.

I’m also working on fics. Sorry this process isn’t moving any faster. I’ve got other shit going on, plus bouts of laziness, but I’ll get it done. I don’t plan to post anything until I’m ready to kick off FA month. That way, once it starts, you’ll know that more is automatically coming. I’ll also be showing all of the new art that you guys haven’t seen yet -and there’s quite a few. So they’ll either be skins, or will be featured with upcoming chapters. Hopefully, it will bring a few squeals. I know for a FACT that you guys are going to love what I had made for MPR. It’s just that awesome. xD

Okay, so, FA month has NOT officially started. I admit, I’ve been fucking around with yaoi manga (drool), and other stuff, and not setting up as I should, but the good news is that I started last night. In order to update I need to look over previous chaps and get my head back into the stories, so I started on that. I’m still not giving the date of the kick off yet, though, because I want to be a bit more “ready”. After all, I haven’t updated many of these in a while, so… yeah. lol. But I wanted to come in here and give some kind of progress report! 😛

Also, I just got the final lineart on my new art. This one is for my next website layout, so it’s InuYasha and I and it ROCKS. My Sarah just kills it every time! I haz QUITE happy and I look forward to IG [dot] Net Version 3!

The Red Sox inexplicably got the better of us all season and still lost the AL East. How does that happen???? There should have been cameras on them when they got the news. Their fans talk so much shit, but you get to eat another plate of Yankee crow. Enjoy! 😀

But that’s not to say we can’t still screw up and blow the playoffs -that can definitely happen. But still, it’s nice to take the division from them. AGAIN. *moonwalks*

Well, these are the ones who got the most votes with the lowest counts being 3 and a “honorary” spot for GFE since I forgot to add it to the damn poll list. (-___-) I haven’t decided when FA month will officially kick off, but that’s the roster. However, I reserve the right to swap a fic or two in the event that I get block and nothing is coming to me. I’ve learned that if I dawdle too much trying to get blood from a turnip, it kills my creativity in general and nothing will get updated.

Things have been interesting for me this week, but I consider most of it dead now, so I won’t bring it up here. But I’ll say this >.> there’s never a dull moment and kinda wish there would be… I also had more health scares. Yay.

In shweeeet news, the sketch for my next art is almost done and I’m LOVING IT. WAAAAAH! Can’t wait for it to be all done and bootiful so you guys can see it! 😀

Hey Lovelies! ^_____^

Yeah, been MIA for a little minute and thought I’d do an update. First off, the writing hasn’t been happening. I admit that I haven’t felt like it. I’ve been in a funk since before Kau’s birthday and I haven’t been able to do much. Sorry about that, as I know you guys have been reviewing faithfully (well, a good bit of you), and I hate letting y’all down. But I just haven’t had it in me and there’s no point in hiding it. But that’s not to say that it won’t gear back up. Sometimes it takes me a little longer than others to get over something, but I do get over it and get my shit together eventually.

To everyone who thinks I was in the dumps because of negative feedback on If I Want To, I need to clear that up. No one has ever given me any negative feedback on that story whatsoever. You oughta know that when it comes to that kinda thing my skin is thick after 6 years of bullshit from lame bitches. No, I was upset for an entirely different reason, but still connected to the story. So, get that idea out of your heads.

Speaking of, it seems to be winning the latest poll. But I kinda knew it would. WAH, do y’all hate my yaoi?! LOL. Kidding -I know my core audience isn’t into boylove. I am, though, and been reading it like a fish in water all week! I’m totally digging Ootsuki Miu’s stuff. Deliciously smutty. <3 Anyway, I do plan to seriously start writing either tonight or tomorrow. I'm messing with KeiChanz's giftie that I'm MEGA late on, and If I Want To (that may come out first). I also plan on working with The Neighbor. I didn’t mean to allow the hiatus on that to last this long (Sorry!). But it’s nowhere near dead, so no worries. Wonderfully evil Yasha will be back!

On the commission front, I got the latest one for If I Want To and it’s cute. I wouldn’t say it’s badass on the level of what I have ready for Money.Power.Respect., but it’s sweet and will probably be a skin. Let’s just say, it epitomizes a certain group. o.~

At this rate, I’ll have a pic for most of my fics (The chapter fics, that is).

And Kau sent me a gift box full of goodies! She lives in the south, so they have stuff that I don’t have here in NYC. Therefore, she sends me the GOOD SHIT! I have so much milk candy, pie, pralines, specially flavored granola, panda pocky, Louisiana sausage, red beans and rice, Ooey Gooey cakes -the works. BFFS ARE THE ULTIMATE AWESOME!

Of course, she’s also going crazy about this hurricane stuff. I’m not scared about it. I don’t know, maybe it’s because we really don’t get that sort of thing here, but I’m just not worried. I didn’t even feel the earth quake when it hit, lol. But I acknowledge that precautions should be taken (Happy, kau?! >.>). Is this the start of the hyped up 2012? I mean, earth quakes in Manhattan? Wut?

And my love of k-pop is growing more every day. I really enjoy their music (probably because it’s so heavily influenced by American R&B/African-American artists) and have been listening to it almost exclusively for the last 3-4 weeks. It still shocks me that so many who like j-pop won’t give k-pop a chance because they’re too stuck on Japan (<– that’s a legit response to a question I asked) or feel like some sort of loyalty will be broken if they do. o.O Dude, we listen to music with our ears, not our eyes. I don’t care who made it -if it sounds good, I’m going to keep on listening. I’ve honestly never heard of something as weird as denying a form of music based on the nationality of the ones who made it. I was always taught that music was universal, a “language” known and enjoyed by everyone, regardless. Sure, certain things don’t grab us -like how I dislike Jazz- but I dislike the form of music, not the people who make it, and that dislike isn’t based on color or nationality, but on the lousy beat. I like goth, industrial, alternative, rock, metal, k-pop, j-pop, salsa, dance, trance, hell, even some gospel. I like every-damn-thing and it has nothing to do with WHO created it. Seriously, is that the new form of discrimination? SMH And if you’re interested, I’ve got an all k-pop playlist going on at Absolution. Check them out -they’re really good. In fact, a bunch of Korean artists will be doing a free concert on 10/9/11 on NYC’s Randall’s Island. I’ll probably attend; I wanna see TVXQ and SHINee, who are also on my playlist. 😛 Anyway, a new skin will appear, regardless of what I update (Yeah, they’re piling up, so I gotta start showing them off!), and hopefully I’ll have something for y’all over the weekend. The last few days haven’t been good for me, however, two pieces of great news got me smiling the moment I got out of bed!

The first would be that the art I was waiting for is finished! WOOT! That also means there will be a new skin -one you won’t have to wait for, either, because this story was completed years ago. \o/ I’m just waiting for a couple of tweaks then I’ll fix up a skin. The full art will be available for viewing after the skin is up.

Yeah, to me, great fanart is a fucking event. lol.

In other “OMG Thank You!!!” news, Moniquiu over at dA made another fantastic wallie for me. She’s been at Abi reading Hikari and loved it so much she wanted to do a little something. She was telling me that white backgrounds weren’t her strong suit, but she wanted it to symbolize heaven. I disagree. I think the white BG looks awesome and a little symbolic. 😀

Neo, Am, Moni, and Phoenix = Best G-artists EVA. <3 I think it's a blessing when people enjoy my stuff enough to get inspired -without turning that inspiration into emulation, which I fucking despise. Almost makes me think there’s hope for the hostile, childish, ridiculous fandoms out here like ours. Case and point?

Tardo thing of the day: How do you take someone’s fanart, print it, blow it up, and superimpose it on a cup, book, whatever without credit or compensation? Yeah… The shit you see out here and the way people find a way to justify the behavior is quite flooring.

Much love to the brave souls who read Kau’s story and was kind enough to leave nice reviews. I admit, I’m out of my element, my comfort zone, my sanity net -you name it. I am not a fan of that pairing at all (Y’all know how I feel about Kouga), and because of my bad weekend, my head wasn’t really there, either, so I’m just cruising along and hoping it isn’t too awful. Thanks, y’all, for feeding my illusion. LOL.

So, I have some pretty good news. Saw my doc yesterday and today and pretty much am doing fine. I needed some antibiotics, but otherwise, the Grrrl is back to her old self. It was a bad week, I admit, but it feels great to stop thinking the fucking worst and actually feel better! >.< It also means I can start concentrating on writing again. I'm an insomniac, but for the past week I've been going to bed at a normal hour -before 12am- so it's a bit tough to write during the day because I'm not used to it anymore, but guess what? I'm gonna get used to that shit! No more crazy hours; it’s not healthy, even if I do prefer late night writing.

So, I’ll try to have something new by the weekend. Also, I got the WIP back for my next art AND the final sketch for the next “If I Want To” art and it’s gonna be so cute! I’m definitely gonna use it for a skin. I have so many you guys still haven’t gotten to really see yet. Must work on that, eh? In any case, pretty visuals coming soon!

And thanks for all the love you guys have shown over at Absolution, especially Bubbles, Kat, and Blackdiamonds who have been sifting through the oldies and making me remember why I loved and wrote them. <3 Remember that game Killer Instinct? It had cool music…

It took several days, but i finished Neo’s birthday fic on time! Woot! It’s called Can You Keep A Secret? and it’s yaoi-ish with a nice twist that I haven’t done before. If you usually shy away from my boylove, you may wanna check this one out anyway. It’s funny, and pervy, and cute if I do say so myself. 😀 It’s also almost 12,000 words long. Yipes! I haven’t written as much as I’m doing now in years (and i don’t mean like how I went on that big tear with The Neighbor, but generally updating all fics and making new ones). It’s fun and I hope I can keep it up for a long while!

Today, after work and such, I’m going to work on the new Money. Power. Respect. skin and try to make another header on my own (I made this MPR one. I’m not that great with graphics -still learning- but I like how it turned out. Almost like a mini version of the full art). I also got the sketch last night for my next one and WOW. The art is going to look better than the fucking fic it was made for! LOL. It’s for a super early story that needs an overhaul, but I always liked the concept of the story and thought it deserved some pretty art -and boy, is it gonna be pretty! ^________________^

I’m also going to work on Nutella’s oneshot. I want to see if I can get at least half of it done this week along with the end of Pas De Deux. But I’m not going to rush. These massive chapters lately (Like Secret and Pas) take a toll, so I’m going to write leisurely.

And I got another pretty yesterday!! I met the coolest g-artist on dA named Moniquiu who makes these amazing wallies (Seriously, go see her stuff. She has IY and VK wallies to die for!). I’ve mentioned her before because she honored my request to do a Human Yasha one a couple of weeks back.

Well, she started reading the fics I have posted (the smut-shots xD) and really liked them, including Playing The Angel and she made a wallie for it. I was so surprised and gushy! 😀 She used one of my favorite human arts, too, and it’s awesome. You can see the full version here. But I’ll post a smaller one now.

I’m still writing! I’m so happy about it, too! It feels totally nice to write again and not feel any pressure and pen stuff that I’m having fun with. Right now, I’m working on a gift. It’s probably not something too much up the alley of my regular readers due to certain aspects, but I think the recipient will like it (at least I hope she will!). Then, I have to tackle the last chapter of Pas De Deux and another oneshot. After that, it’s back to all the WIPs. I really want to finish Love Like Winter since it’s short and another story that’s near the end, but i won’t say its name just yet. Pas De Deux threw me off, so the super old update I wanted to do is unfinished, but I’ll mess with that and see if I can post a short chapter of that one.

In other words, I’m going to write non-stop for as long as my inspiration holds out. 😀

And I got my Money. Power. Respect. art back! WAAAAH!!!!! It’s fucking gorgeous. Everything I wanted it to be! I decided to make a header of it (already finished) and once I do the skin, I’ll update and debut it for you guys. I’ll also post the art with the story because it’s “cover art”, really. I just love it. My girl really went above and beyond and I can’t wait to see what she does with my next piece (already ordered). I’ve also been adding old commissions and wallpaper gifties Neo has made for me to the gallery. Why I never thought post all my cute stuff before, I dunno, but they’re going up now!

Anyway, not sure if anything will post this weekend. I have a deadline with this giftie, and since I’m already 4100 words in and it’s still technically the beginning, I’m gonna pretty focused on finishing it.

It’s just stupid to me that the ongoing consensus seems to be that there is something incredibly abnormal about preferring his human side, or some crime is being committed when you don’t want to be enslaved to canon.

EYE. FUCKING. ROLL.

I love Hanyou InuYasha. That’s how I met him.
I love Demon InuYasha. He’s fucking YUM.

But my fangirl heart belongs to HUMAN INUYASHA. There is no “why” and I don’t have to explain myself. But as someone who has, and always will, prefer brunettes, his dark hair and gray eyes “do it” for me.

And another true statement: I’m not really into his ears. The fangs and claws are sexy, but not the ears. A lot of manga and anime characters have animal ears and I think they’re unattractive. I tolerate it on InuYasha because I adore him, but that’s a big motivator in my love for his human side.

Why settle for traits I don’t care about when I can get everything I want with his human side?

Honestly, who here is really going to be a ready and willing participant with a guy who has ears like a dog in real life? That would be sick, not to mention gross.

Why don’t I write canon fic? I’ll make it easy. I dislike the canon story. I still haven’t read the full manga and I don’t think I ever will. Aside from most of it being fucking boring and long, long-winded, the “triangle” sickened me so much it made the entire story lousy. Are there a few parts that may have made me smile? Oh yes. Yasha is divine. But the other 80% I can take or leave, and as an author, I prefer to leave it. So, yeah, I don’t like Rumiko’s story that much, but I love many of her characters.

It happens all the time, so get over it.

I prefer alternate universe. I want worlds that I created and situations that I brought to life. I’m not, nor will I ever be, interested in picking up where Rumiko left off. I don’t want to use her story as my “jump off” point. I can make my own. And I do. I only borrow her characters, and since I openly assassinate characterizations, I bring them as close to an original as I can get them. Some may see that as “betraying” the “spirit” of the IY story, but I couldn’t care less what a purist thinks. I already said that I don’t like the manga story. Do you and leave me the hell alone. Last time I checked, speech and expression were free in my country.

That goes for art as well. I don’t commission canon things. Why would I ever? Are some gorgeously done? Hell yes. I’ve seen lots and lots that are drool worthy. But, for my $$$, it will always be AU. Even when I choose to make him silver and gold with fangs, claws, and ears.

I’m simply doing what makes me happy -just like everyone else.

I’ve been doing a lot of writing lately and I’m tired. Like, physically tired. I want to start the next chapter of Pas De Deux, but I’m sleepy as hell. However, I suffer from so much of the “b-word” that when the muses are willing to help, I’m always dying to get at it so as not to end up in that wordless place. But, I dunno. I’ll try to get out a couple of paragraphs before I completely crash.

I’m also giddy because I got two WIP peeks at my current commissions and they are LOVELY. I’m going to be so, so happy with them. And that will definitely inspire me to write more. I’m a very visual/sound kind of person. I like to look at gorgeous -IY- things and music helps me write (sometimes, I can’t pen a single word without a good song), so having new art that I personally love on my screen while I do my thing helps tremendously.

Right now, if possible, I’d like to pound out the final 2 chapters of Pas De Deux and then try to get the oneshot I was supposed to write ages ago done for Nutella. I had the nastiest bout of block ever since she asked for it, and I’m going to try exceptionally hard to slam hers down fast. This is her plot, and not really something I would normally pen, but I’m still going to try. It’s taken me so long to get it done she probably forgot about it. Ack. >.>
